It could still be a localised problem and I don't think it would be an ISP issue.
You mustn't run two anti virus programmes at the same time.

Ron2 Report 3 Sep 2008 21:12

You mention "cleaning the system" have you deleted all your temporary internet files? I use IE7 and don't have probs

Yer, but...................... If you go for another AV set up and download it make sure you download to CD or file (I downloaded to a file using Word 2000) and only then when you are sure it's dowloaded OK should you uninstal Norton which is a bugger to get rid of and then instal your new AV whilst you are offline. If you go for free AVG dont forget you'll need a decent free Firewall as well - ZoneAlarm(?)

AVG is an excellent anti virus and is free. Try Googling for it.

I'm getting cheesed off with it, taking lap top in to PC World tomorrow for health chech. Just renewew with Norton 360 but they say not covered for anti virus unless I pay some more. Are there any free anti virus sites as I can't afford to pay out any more at the moment?

Has anyone else had trouble with Internet Explorer these last few days? Mine is very slow and when I click on a link or back to my messages I lose it altogether.Have spent a fair bit of time doing anti virus checks and cleaning the system, but still having trouble.
