Julie Ann,

I'm with you on that one!

I love my grandchildren to bits and have them to stay regularly, but I am always completely worn out when they have gone home.
Like you I don't consider myself to be an old grandma - but I certainly feel like one when they have been here for a visit, lol.

Mind you, if I don't see them for a few days, I get withdrawal symptoms - as my OH says "there's no pleasing some people!

I have no grandchildren yet, by the time I do I shall be ancient, if not dead! I'm nearly 59 now, and already worn out.

My SIL had her first baby at 22, and her last at 39.

The older children helped with the younger ones, and when the older ones had a week end away, and SIL and BIL were on their own with the youngest two, they said they felt like grandparents, as they felt so worn out.

Now they have grandchildren, but never look after them overnight.

I am resting after having had a lovely week-end with my 5 grandchildren. We had a lovely time as my youngest daughter came to visit with her new baby of 5 weeks and to introduce him to his cousins.
A very happy noisy busy weekend........ but now its just me and the OH and its BLISS.
