I remember when i was nursing, one grateful relative brought us all baby-doll nighties,,!! Another uselful gift was pairs of tights, One year w e had so many tins of chocolates that the ward sister raffled some off to make funds for some new equipment we needed on the ward, |

What would these folk do without you good souls working over Christmas! Hope you all enjoy yourselves as well as working and that you get some time to be with your loved ones too. |

I remember one year, when I like you worked in a similar setting, I decided if I had to work Christmas day, my youngest was coming with me and I would dress up as santa, for the staff, we (me and Son) ended up as Santa and his helper, we toured the nursing floor with presents and good wishes, and the phone kept ringing, it was staff from the residential floor calling for santa and his helper, we delighted so masny people, but I took my Santa suit off, and removed the pillow, and my oh! so white uniform was stained red, but hey they enjoyed it X ho ho ho XX those were the days my friend XX.. |

So nice to hear somebody not moaning about their work. I am sure the patients will be happy because you are happy. It sounds as if it is a nice place to work. |

Pleased you like your shifts. I always wonder what other people in care think about Christmas shifts. This year, the first for a few years, I had Christmas Day, Boxing day and the next 2 days off (weekend) But I am now doing a very short shift boxing day 9am - 1pm and am on call on the saturday, so that bad at all XX Hope you enjoy your christmas XX.. |

Bev, good for you not moaning about working Christmas. I used to love working then. My OH once had a moan, until I asked him if he wanted the patients to look after themselves! |
