No, no Hayley, didn't take it wrong way. I'm full of nervous tension - Tom's on Strictly in ten mins. I'd take a Diazapam if I had any .Tea's already prepared and under cover. God, I'll have to down pantry and have a extra large swig of the cooking Brandy, sod topping up the Christmas Pud.

PS. How do you find time for three sites, especially with everything else you do. You must be a martyr. Nan night

It's not just seasonal though, is it? The boards have been slow for months.
As more and more genealogical resources come online GR's share of the market has been depleted. Not only that but as information about your ancestors starts to dry up, you are more likely to use the boards socially. A few years ago the only alternative was MSN. Then along came Bebo, My space and Facebook.

I think things won't pick up again until the 1911 census starts being released.

Hayley, it was just a thought I had, as I was flicking through the pages this morning. I do appreciate that many have been very poorly of late, and people are doing their Christmas shopping etc. at the moment.

Mildred, what a wheeze that was to pull on the children about Florida. I hope you all enjoy the experience, and the children don't get over excited and wear you down before you even get there.

Its a mixture of the xmas shopping rush, busy social schedules, school, work etc. Illness, those tummy & flu bugs doing the rounds & people not finding the boards interesting because they are slow & not feeling they have anything to post themselves, or people avoiding the boards because they dont feel comfortable for a few reasons anymore :o((

Morning ladies, yes I think they have as well. I used to look in all morning during jobs but find I can't now as it hurts my eyes.
Also I think a lot of people are getting ready for Christmas so don't have as much time to spend on here.

When I "open up" in a morning, I scroll back the postings to when I turned off the previous evening. This used to be 10 pages. Today it was five. It is a similar picture on TTF also. Where is everyone, and not just those who have left, for various reasons. But then, I have to admit, since the changes I have not been as active on here. Has GR shot themselves in the foot
