Marilyn you little devil you no wonder you go on holiday alot we will have to make a face for you of a fruity drop Lol Lol that is me laughing

I heard that the Highgate cemetery is being cleaned up as it is a famous one and we have lots of famous people buried in there they thought it was worth cleaning up.. it was so overgrown the last time I was there.

Rita,

I'm sure that'll cheer the Highgate Cemetery residents up. ROFL.

Gotta agree with you though. I hate seeing how the Cemeteries are often left to go wild.

Legislation in recent years from the EU has ruled that only four people can now be buried in a grave. This has caused a lot of distress with families who only find out at the last minute that their mum or whoever cannot be buried beside their loved ones.

Night all.

This made me laugh.
My sister went to the Metroploitan Archives this morning as you know we are doing an article on old Willesden starting in 1860. so we have been trying to find the details on a big house that was the centre of Willesden in 1860 who owned it ? she had asked to view the book of Land exchange which was at Guildhall so she had arranged for it to go to the Archives she found all the information we required.. she said it was a hugh volume so big that she could not lift it so she had to ask someone to carry it to the desk and then take it away again she said she felt like a wimp the only time she had found a book too heavy for her to lift.
I have never heard my sister call anyone a wimp.let a lone her
I remember we went to the same Archives once before looking at the poor house books and they used a trolly to push the book to the desk for us to look at /.

That cemetery is so spooky it is over grown. some of my late Husbands relations are buried there his Grand parents and his Great Grandparents they use to buried them there from St Pancras.
,
you say that about the EU. well I can tell you this for a fact the old Willesden cemetery where a lot of my family are buried.including my parents, they have very old graves some are crumbling. the council covered them with earth built then up high and are now burying people on top of the old Graves.they even have baby graves on them. you have to go up an incline to get to the graves. at the moment our graves have not been touched it might be we go there as often as w e can to tend to them. but my father payed for the plots his self so I wnder how they can do this to these others.

Morning All !

No Damage !

Up early as usual. Checked round my property. All ok.

A really wild night. Strongest wind we have had for ages. Apart from when I have Haggis.

Will be on the alert when driving for fallen branches on the road.

(_)?(_)?(_)?(_)?(_)?(_)?
Tea or Coffee.
Porridge or Cereals. Fresh fruit juice. Scrambled eggs. Toast. Bacon Rolls.

Poor folks in the Western Isles. Battered by 90mph winds. All transport links stopped. The Causeways between some of the Islands also closed. This is due to the fact that a few years ago a family of five in their car were washed off a Causeway by a huge wave. All drowned.

Waves off the Shetland Isles are running at about 50ft. Kinda big for canoeing I think.

You can't stop Mother Nature. Wind and Sea. A really powerful force.

Have a good day ya all.

Keep safe. Keep Happy. Keep Smiling.

Morning Rita,
Scrambled eggs please Stephen.
When I was younger I used to collect quotes and make posters out of them I don't do it now and one of my favourrite quotes was
" Christianity wants nothing more than sunny people and the old are hungrier for love than they are for bread" or something like that.
Dermot's quote about smiling reminded me of that.
Have a good day everyone x

Hello everyone, hope your day is going well.
am glad to say my back isn't as painful now and the bruising is fading, can walk almost normally now.
Rita I hope Mike is progressing well and feeling a bit better. the foals are both thriving, they love to go out in the paddock with their Mums and run around like little rockets. The mare who lost her foal is acting as foster mum to a foal who's Mum rejected him, [ not one of mine] so she is happy.
Marilyn, yes grushi is romany for money, sorry I think in romany and sometimes forget to turn it into english.
Mo, hope you have had good news about your nephew. yes, my Gt. Grandmother had a lovely vardo, I was born in it, and just before she died she gifted it to me, I have a lovely vanner horse who pulls it, in summer I sometimes take to the roads in it for a couple of days.
Cath, I do hope you are feeling better, have the antibiotics started to work now?
Patricia, Pauline, Maddie, Yvonne, Stephen and Dermot, hope you are all ok.
If I forgot anyone I'm sorry, must be my age, memory not what it used to be.
Go with God and in good health.
Jeniwren xx

Linda I read what you said on the 2011 census thread. it makes no sense to me what is happening all the things I have read on the internet say we are getting these 2011 census forms next month by post, and they need to be filled in for 27th March every house will get one.

If we dont fill them in we can be sued up to £1000 and have a crimmal record. now people like you and Heather have had yours . someone said only 3% of these will be taken into account.

so somewhere along the way the Government must have slipped up.you dont send a few out to be filled in and tell everyone if you dont get this form you have to contact the Govenment helpline.

at all say the 2011 census will be sent out from March and the details

are for 27th March over 200 countries have these census.

Hi all, haven't got much time because I'm going out in a couple of minutes.

Rita I don't think Heather lives in this country, her census form wouldn't be in French if she lived here............ well, I don't think it would.

Different countries might do it in a different way to our country.

Jean, is there any chance of you sending us a photo of your Vardo? I think they're beautiful, haven't seen one since I was a child. I saw a very posh one on the Internet, but I don't think there would have been many as fancy as this...

http://gypsywaggons.co.uk/features-orton-spooner.htm

The ones I remember were usually painted red, green and gold with lots of patterns on them.

Going out now, be back later.
