Wroxham Broads Liz I feel a bit home sick now you have mentioned Wroxham Broads. memories.
You want to forget OH sons birthday they might remember next time
.I buy my cards the last day of the month for birthdays that are the next month.that way if I have forgotten someone I can go and get the card.

Morning everyone and Stephen I write a little list out in the morning of job I would LIKE to get done that day. if they dont they go on the next days.
To day I intend sorting my computer desk as I have so many files and papers stored about. so that is my urgent job for the day
. I have a large file clip full of PC magazine "How to get on with your Computer " which I had when I first had a computer brought the magazine every month.. I will take that to the charity shop in the week. it is like new.

The weather here although I have not been out is fair not cold but the sky is grey. and there is no wind so hope that it will be a nice day for all the
Anglers sitting at the side of the rivers and streams hoping to catch a big fish.

off now to have another cup of tea.and take my tablets.
see you all later.

A good morning to you all,
Rita so glad that Mike will be home on monday and hope his recovery continues, he must be making good progress if they are sending him home.
Marilyn I hope Pete enjoyed his birthday and eats plenty of cake today.
Maddie great to have you back, hope things are going better for you now,
Liz hope your OH had a nice day anyway, despite not getting cards from sons.
Very mild and calm here today, will take dog for a long walk this afternoon (knee permitting) and then curl up on sofa with a good book.
I am going to clean out bird cage and wash kitchen floor this morning and thats it !!
Hope everyone I haven't mentioned is well, back later,

Cath xx

Morning everyone.

Hope you are well and warm.

Bit brighter here today, and milder too. Thank Goodness.

Off to work soon, my last Sunday for a while.

Cooked the meat, peeled all the veggies, made the batter.

I could leave it to Kevin, but seeing as I am a control freak, I feel better doing it myself. lol

Orft to have my porridge.

Maybe see you all later.

Marilyn,
I help set up for mass and I'm an altar server so I have to be there!
Lie in Sundays are very very rare! Even when I go to my sister's mass is 8.30 there.
Rita I cooked a chicken yesterday. I wish I got a bigger chicken because ther's isn't a lot of meat on this but it's enough for me.

Hi Shelly, I wondered where you were.

Edit: I've just come on here but I think I'll have to go off again because I haven't peeled the potatoes yet and my son wants mash with his dinner.

Rita

Rita Report 6 Feb 2011 15:39

I seem to be on here the most today. see I am not that busy. well not now my desk is clear and I can find things right away.

I was going thought the net looking for St Marys Church wanted to find some things out about the Bells and found one of my early relations in 1551 they were all born in Devon. one had been a vicar at Ottery St Marys where my Great Grandmother had been born.
so I printed out the sheets all four of them. I am flowing along with my research.
I stopped as my Great Grandson Ryan wanted to speak to me. he 9 today and was given money from some of us he brought hiself a X Box and he was telling me little Charlie kept trying to snatch it off him. Charlies was shouting at him while he was on the phone to me . till my Granddaughter told him off. they are having a party for him. my daughter and son in law were on their way round. I bet it will be a noisey party.lol
I am glad I am here and not there.

Waitrose had their fresh chickens on special this week Marilyn otherwise I would not have brought one. I am not paying around £5 30 for a chicken just for me. this one was £3.50 and there is enough for three days.

I am so careful now when i shop the prices have gone sky high over what they could be even with the added tax.

Oi Oi Saveloys, how are we all today then.

I'm back from our childminding night. I went all prepared with my laptop, and then I couldn't get a connection.
What a bummer, all three grandaghters sitting there typing away on theirs, and me not able to join them.
Not one of them had the password for me to connect.

It's still blowing a gale here, and it's very cold outside. Roll on summer.

Hello to all !

Much better day today.......managed to do something constructive......AND
went out for a lovely walk with Mrs Stephen. Four hours just strolling. No rush, no objective to reach, cleared a few cobwebs from the system. Magic!.

About to have tea now.

Ohhhh "She's leaning on a lampost at the corner of the street, in case a certain little(lady) MAN comes by" Pat thats what your remark made me think of,lol
I certainly don't think I could walk non stop for four hours. Well done Mr and Mrs Stephen.

Last sunday working for you then Maddie, hooray she say's. I bet you are cooking dinner now though.
Afterwards, sit and relax. Are you back in work tomorrow.?

Hi there Shelly. I've just put some greasy chips in the cyber hatch for you love. Saveloy, and a wally coming along with them.

Stephen2009

Stephen2009 Report 6 Feb 2011 19:32

Wallie......if I remember correctly.........is a Pickled Onion

What is Saveloy ?

If you can walk to the local shop and back then you can walk for four hours.

Just take your time.....if need be.....rest often.....remember it's not a race.

Look about you to make it interesting, stop and chat to folk..

My wife and I still walk in the mountains. Spend a whole day going up and coming down. Just take it slowly and enjoy everything around us. In the summer months this can be anything up to ten hours on the hill. Yep ! We are really slow.

Maddie..........a bit of Neil Oliver news.........he has Insured his HAIR for a Million Pounds.

Wish I had Insured mine for a tidy sum. I could claim that I've lost it. ROFL

Mo in Kent

Mo in Kent Report 6 Feb 2011 19:51

Stephen, a Wallie is either a pickled onion or a pickled gherkin, depends on what part of the country you come from.
And a Saveloy, is a spicy sausage in a skin, that is edible.
When Roly and I have been to Blackpool in the past, we have walked from one end of the promenade and back many a time.
But as we have got a little hmmm older, our joints can't take it like we used to,even with us sitting on the benches on the sea front for breaks.
We would love to be able to do it again, all the sea air in our lungs, the sea breezes wafting over us, oooh lovely.
