Hello everyone I dont get the results of the scan till ten days time Pat. that is the worse part having to wait for the results.
My son Mike isnt too good at the moment my daughter and her husband went to see him today at his house. she said he looks very white and his cheeks have suken because he has so much pain, they cannot find anything that will give him relief.Morphine had a bad reaction on him. The district nurse goes in everyday as he has an infection with one of the metalclips when taken out and left him with this infection..
My Great Grandson who was 9 a few days ago Ryan fell over and broke his ankle the hospital kept him in overnight but they didnt plaster his ankle they said they dont for young children as their bones are soft. that is the first time I have ever heard that.
so we are a family of invalids at the moment .

Patricia, A friend did a trip on the Trans Siberian Railway. He was in awe of how efficient things went on the whole trip.
My longest train journey was from Glasgow to Plymouth. A blooming nightmare going and returning.
Although I must say I much prefer the train when travelling to London. City Centre to City Centre from Edinburgh. Leisurely and relaxing.
I would love to cross America by train. I did do most of the journey by car one year. Time wasn't on my side so had to turn around and head back.
Time for supper.

Morning all Grey here too Maddie Hoping that Jean and Mo are feeling a bit better and that all Rita's relatives get a little respite today from all that ails them.
Hoping to get out for a walk today, not too sure as it is looking like a wet day here. I suppose I could get the wet weather gear out and put Little M in the buggy with the plastic covers over her.
Otherwise I think we are on card making today as it is her Mummy's birthday in March. Then of course we have Mothering Sunday coming up too. OOps I see me disappearing again under feathers glue and glitter !!!
Have a good day everyone

Morning.
I want to go out this morning Linda as well. I try to get out when it is dry out otherwise your stuck indoors and dont feel like going anywhere. once I was indoors for 6 weeks after a big op and when I was getting better I got frightened of going out. silly I dont know why? but it really affected me. so I got my daughter to walk around the lake with me. I was Ok after that. since then I have met many people who are frightened of going out unless they have someone with them. they lose confidence.
The sun is shining but we have a grey cloud over -hanging the houses opposite me. Maddie you have missed him .I am speaking of Neil Oliver he is chatting away on TV what a lovely clear picture.
Rita

I will settle for his signed photo Stephen. tell him it an old lady who wants his photo please.. Old enough to be his Grandmother Lol.and I watch all his programme, even repeats at times.
A bit of a to-do this morning doing my washing
I took an elderly mans washing out of the dryer to save him a job before putting mine in. to find he had washed his wallet with money in and all his cards including a dibetic one they had come out of the wallet and noway will he be able to use them the dryer was on hot.
So I had to take the washing up the stairs to his flat. he thanked me and I said these are yours he said I didnt know they were in there.? of course you didnt. but I am aiding and abetting you. you laundered money that made him laugh poor guy it will take him about 5 days to get new cards.about five of them.
I going to do my salad for dinner now. Rita

Rita,
You've been all alone on here today.
I think we have all done it at one time or another, left our cash in our pockets and 'Laundered' it.
I love a job as an Heir Hunter. Being a nosey sod it would suit me perfectly.
Some of the situations they find are so sad. Relatives only a couple of streets away who they don't know about.
Finished a bit more work......nearly time for tea.
Catch you later.

Fr Mack.
Fr Mack sported a silk hat over his flowing beard & a fine dash he cut in his velvet waistcoat & cut-away overcoat, sitting up on the side of his side-car knocking sparks out of the road going into town every Wednesday or was it Thursday? No, it was Wednesday - budget day.
Young lads playing pitch & toss in the road - when they’d hear the sound of the horse’s hooves, shouted: “Inside the fence - Fr Mac is coming”! He’d drive straight through into town & up the main street - he couldn’t get lost since there was no other street in the town. Outside the corner shop, he’d bring his horse to an abrupt stop so that he could get the few bits he needed for the week. He'd also bank the proceeds of the Sunday church collection.
At that time, there would be some poor fellows holding up the corner only too glad for the opportunity to earn a few shillings for holding a horse by the head. Wasn’t that how Shakespeare started in London!
Fr Mac would call one of these men: “Flynn, come here & hold my horse”. Flynn would & hold him every week but he’d get nothing from Fr Mac for his trouble. Flynn used to grumble about it but, seeing who he was trucking with, he didn’t have the gumption to demand his rights. But, as the saying goes, constant dropping wears the stone.
This Wednesday when Fr Mac drove up, Flynn walked away. “Come here Flynn!” demanded Fr Mac. “I will not - I’ve been holding your horse long enough & you never gave me anything for it”. “Flynn, do you hear me - hold my horse or I’ll stick you to the ground!”. “Ah dear” replied Flynn, “why don’t you stick your horse to the ground then?”.
Henry Ford had no more than invented the motorcar when Fr Mac bought one. It was the only one in the parish until after the Boar War. The backfiring of that instrument drove all the animals wild. He was a reckless driver too.
Failing to take a turn, didn’t he go through Mick Casey’s gate & knocked down a cow inside the field. When Mick saw the car, he couldn’t get over it. He said for a thing that went so fast, wasn’t it a great wonder that it couldn’t jump as well.
Mick knelt down beside his cow as grief-stricken as if it was his own mother. The neighbours came running in. “Is the cow dead?” they enquired. “No” said Mick “she’s not dead but she doesn’t recognise anyone!” ______________________________
All I ever got out of my story telling were shoes of brown paper & socks of thick milk. I only know what I heard; I only heard what was said & much of what was said was lies.
