Hi Everyone.

Cath ....Well your not going to believe this .....but I'm also having bubble and squeak ..LOL
I had so many roast potatoes & veg over from yesterday that I wouldn't ever throw away knowing bubble & squeak would be yummy !! So I have got a really cheap dinner tonight with slices of Cornbeef :-D

Agatha, Whats wrong with your breathing ?

Funny but since Amy Whinehouse death I seem to like all her songs ....I never ever took much notice of her before as the look of her put me off !! , but I can honestly say I have been listening to her records that Pete has put on my Ipod player.and I'm sad now that she has died...

Just got back from Shopping and bought a new top !! I didn't really need it but it was saying BUY ME PLEASE :-P

Hi George

I live in Goldsworth Park Woking. I go to The Royal Surrey Hospital every three months near Guildford.

I have a senior train pass cost went up this year so it saves me some money. and I can get to lots of places from Woking Station. I miss Waterloo as you use to be able to get the Eurostar there. and could go though to France.even for one day.didnt take long.

Evening folks,
Marilyn the bubble and squeak was lovely :-D Hope you enjoyed yours too. Ours was from a huge pile of yesterdays roast leftovers as well.
Rita I haven't had any luck with my research interests as yet but I'm always hopeful, lol. Eternal optimist me :-D :-D :-D By the way, I came across an Absolom Lee while looking for one of my Saunders lot, have you found yours yet? The one I found was on a Romany site.
Had lots of messy fun with the little uns and the chalk this afternoon but my hair is stiff with dust :-S
Must be sure to double check my alarm tonight as I don't want to be late again tomorrow.
Dermot do you know anything about Westmeath? Have found some ancestors in Athlone.

Going up the tree for a while, back later,

Cath xx

I don't want to get Ritas hopes up. :-( Its just that while searching for some Saunders / Pikes I came across the name Absolom Lee and remembered Rita looking for one.

Hello, hello.

It has taken me practically all day to get on to here. Somefink was up. :-P

Amy Winehouse lived about 5 minutes away from me, in a very swish Square. I must admit I cried when I heard she had died. Such a tragic waste of a young life. I have not been down to the Square to look at the flowers, there are too many people down there waiting to get onto camera. I may wander down there when it quietens down.

I have always liked her songs, she had a yearning in her voice, I have her albums and have always enjoyed them. I particularly like Love Is A Losing Game.

See boring for England again, talking about music.

Hope everyone is well and happy.

See ya.

Cath2010 Report 27 Jul 2011 20:44

Maddie I too loved her voice. It had a real soulful quality which I liked.
Another tragic loss.

I forgot to mention we have a man moved into our block of four flats he is in his early 60. he is 6ft .5 inches tall and such a kind gentleman he told me this afternon he will be away for three weeks he is going to Romania I said thats a strange place to go for three weeks. ?it appears he teaches Christianity out there so I suppose he must be a missionary ?and works out there helping the people, he goes every year,

makes a change to hear something like that.

Evening All I

Just in time to say 'Goodnight' !

Rita

I have known a few folk who give their time to work abroad voluntariliy. The do loads of good stuff.
My son went to Romania a few years ago to help build a Holiday Camp for deprived children. He was on Summer leave and I got him roped in with a group I was helping out. He throughly enjoyed it.

Night All !

Going to bed now.
