Hope the weather is nice or you Agatha. I just logged on to check my emails, then thought I have to go to the GR site to see if anyone was about. and behold there were. the sky is still grey very dismal. I was just going across the road to post some birthday cards for early next week and the old gent up stairs said I will do it for you I am going shopping. so that was a good saving of my legs his are older than mine. Then I was taking some books up to an elderly lady who cannot get out and someone said she would give them to Lily. so that was another job done for me. anyone want to change my bed linen your very welcome.

Morning all, I'm sitting here waiting for the plumber again.......... got a bit of water coming from a joint in a pipe. I hate waiting for people to come when I don't know exactly what time they'll be here.
Marilyn, does your son rent his house while he's away or is he moving into a new one?
No good me doing your bedding for you Rita, looks like it's going to rain here.
Hope you have good weather at the caravan Agatha.
Stephen, you're right, as we get older we realize that the people around us are the people we want around us.
Pat, that's a good quality to have. I'm not self-contained, but I have a lot of patience, which I think is a God-given gift - that I need for my son............... stops me from strangling him. :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Hi Pauline.....Long story ..LOL
They sold one house banked the money as it was a good sell then rented in order to find a bigger better house, up until now they have seen a property that they want to buy but is haggling with the price with the vendor at the moment....... BUT the property they were renting came to an end last Friday as the owners were coming back from abroad . they then had to find another property to rent until this haggling ceases ......so on Monday they have the new rental :-S But I wish they would find another property soon for the kids sake they don't know where they live half the time :-S
So that's why they took this holiday to fill the gap !!
Now did you understand all that ? LOL
Still washing sheets sheets sheets ........

Yes Marilyn, I got that...... pity they didn't find a place they could have rented for a longer period. Renting is very expensive, I hope it isn't eating away at the profit they made.
The plumber has just been, he couldn't fix the pipe, so the heating system will have to be drained down again so he can put a new bit on. It was only drained down yesterday..... but I hadn't told him about that little problem, he's not pleased with me.
He's coming back next week to do it, I'll be out most of the week, so it'll have to wait until Friday.
Don't think hubby's going to be pleased with me either, when he finds out. :-( :-( :-(

Marilyn perhaps they could rent a large caravan for the time being the one my daughter hired at Dorset two weeks ago had four bedrooms and was like a house even have a belcony it cost her £400. but as I dont know what rents cost now I dont know if that is very expensive.? you can get cheaper ones.

Evening all, its been a gorgeous day. Too hot for the beach so took little uns to the park instead where theres plenty of space to run wild among the trees and not get sunburned. I'm shattered now :-D Going to Jersey for a day trip tomorrow so up early for the ferry :-( Musn't complain it's a freebie courtesy of my brother and his wife. The friends they were going with can't make it. The shops are better in Jersey, more choice and more uk stores than we have here so I must behave myself and not get carried away with OH's credit card. Jean hope you feel a lot better very soon, thinking of you. <3 Agatha have a great time at the caravan. Hope everyone has a good weekend,
Cath xx

I did an ink painting of the sea and clouds all done with ink and water.I had it framed and in my hall in Norfolk. it was a talking point when people came in. Rita

Evening All.
Agatha, I hope you have a lovely time.
The sun didn't shine here today, so another nuffink day.
Oh George, dont tell me you were one of those experimental types. Shock. Horror. Gasp. One of those who tuned in and dropped out.
We are going to West End tomorrow, so need to get there early, before the marauding hoards get down there.
Went to Camden Square this morning. I though I would leave it until it was a decent time.
Amy's house is still cordorned off by Police tape. A security man is sitting outside on a chair, with a collection of wreaths propped up against the wall of the house. Opposite there is a grass verge. There is a collection of flowers, fag packets, beer cans and vodka bottles.
There were about 20 people there this morning, mostly youngsters. Probably students. There was a young girl standing there swaying. She was playing Amy's music through her phone. I couldn't help but wonder if she ever listened to it when Amy was alive. It was just too fabricated. Some bloke was banging on about courting publicity. I dunno. I left as soon as I could. I felt very uncomfortable with it all.
Maybe I am just too cynical.

CLOUD APPRECIATION
Hows about this then..........
ATHELSTANEFORD IS IMPORTANT NATIONALLY
Important for all Scotsmen the world over
For tradition says near this place in times remote Pictish and Scottish Warriors about to defeat an army of Northumbrians
Saw against a blue sky a great white Cross like Saint Andrew's, and in its image made a banner which became the Flag of Scotland.
Thus the Scottish Flag had its origin in 832,
Born in the clouds.
An important fact which was commemorated here in Athelstaneford on 30th November 1965 when a Plaque was unveiled, and the Flag of St. Andrew unfurled to fly permanently and proudly in the breeze
And also on that same day, we witnessed to the fact that the Scottish Flag is the oldest Flag in the British Commonwealth and the oldest National Flag in Europe.
Another piece of useless information.
