I'm going in October. I didn't fancy November. Too cold!

Sorry Shelley!

I'm sure Marilyn's jaunts are more fun and she goes to warmer places than me. :-)

Hello Friendly Threaders, I hope everyones having a sunny sunday.
Stephen I hope you have a lovely time in Sterling today, a 12th wedding anniversary is silk.
Rita, I hope you have a lovely visit from your daughter, will it be her 40th wedding anniversay, thats Ruby, my mum and dad celebrated their Ruby not so long ago and I bought them a ruby red glass goblet.
enjoy the noisy air show pauline, I do not live far from Duxford air museum, so we get alot of fly pasts, the old lady ho lives next to me says it makes her feel like we are at war when the WW2 planes go past
I had a very hot and sunny weekend at the caravan, Oscar has had lots of walks, so he is happy, we saw another Bichon on the beach with his owner and the woman said, "oh a puppy" and I said no he's nearly five and she looked shocked, Oscar is half the size he should be as he was ill as a puppy, I think she thought she was over feeding hers
Put your feet up while you can marilyn.
Have a great day everyone

afternoon it is still very warm the sun is coming through windows I have to go and water my plants soon as the sun goes down.
My friend brought me a Family History Magazine over to read. and in it there is a bit about a Romany Museum its in Clay Lake Spalding Lincolnshire. the article makes nice reading the museum is called " Gorden Boswell Romany museum"

I have put all my photos from both my holiday in Norfolk and the one in the Isle Of Wight onto my computer. I was worried as it was a new camera I was using but the photos all came out really well..I said I ? my daughter talked me through it. I am not much good on doing new things. I have the instructions all written down now so hope next time I will be able to do it with out someone telling me. still you have to start somewhere.
Agatha where did you go over the weekend then ? where is your caravanj parked ?
I am pleased we have this weather it is nice for people on holiday better still if they have young children to amuse.

Evening All !

A lovely day with my family........my son managed to get a message to his sister.......she cried at him not being with us.....they are really close and she misses him. We all do.
God willing he will be home safely in November.

Pat.....Loch and Glens have a good reputation, I'd be surprised if you don't enjoy your trip. The hotels I have seen them at tend to be fine and in good locations. Let me know where you are going when you find out and I may be able to give you some information on what to watch out for. AND......you never know 'Fluffy Paws' might pay you a visit ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)

Gonna have some Beans on Toast.......nice and light after a good lunch. :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

I'm back from counting the money.
Yes Stephen I googled the hotels and they look amazing. I'm going to Loch Achray. I didn't know where that was and I'd never heard of it.
I'm going to wash my hair now!

Hi George
Glad you had a good weekend with the family. I go to Regents Park four or five times a year. I go and stay with my sister who lives in Hampstead Heath. we catch the bus and walk around the lake. I have some photos taken in Rengets park some e of the Herons nesting in the trees on the island. I have a photo of one of the heron standing at the side of me keeping an eye on the birds on the lake.
Many tourist go there and take photo;s we have seen many with their camera' s snapping photos of the ducks and Mallards and Swans. we were down there once sitting on a seat when a helicopter appeared over head we had seen three ambalance going by and police cars passed where we were sitting we didnt take much notice till this helicopter came over head we had dust blowing in our eyes and it was like a dust storm . it landed right behind where we were sitting. a Doctor and a paramdic. some man had collapsed and was having a heartattack . it was the one time I didnt have my camera with me.

Evening all,
Had a great weekend. Went to Jersey for the day yesterday, the sun was shining, the sea was still, and walked for miles. It was a very long day, got up at 5.30 to walk the dog while it was still fairly cool and got picked up for the ferry at 7.30. Ferry back was running late and we didn't get home till 12.30 a.m. Boy was I shattered. Had a lazy day today and a snooze this afternoon before going to our eldest daughters for a meal.
Hope all my lovely friends are well and enjoyed their weekend.
<3 <3 <3 to all and sleep tight,

Cath xx

Hi Rita and Cath2010,

Great you both had a great weekend.
Cath, I have never been to Jersey, but I have been told its really lovely.

Rita, I enjoy going to Regents park, sometimes we have a meal in the resturant there on the inner circle, or walk up to where the London Zoo is, always a good day out with the family.

Hi George,
it is lovely in Jersey, but here in Guernsey we have more 'olde worlde' charm :-D We are less commercialised than Jersey. On the other hand Jersey have better shops :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Morning All !

Bit dull and overcast here with a light drizzle of rain :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P

Jean......Grand breakfast again.
Hope all goes well for you today.

Pat......Loch Achray.....lovely spot......near to the small village of Aberfoyle and the town of Callendar. It's in the heart of the Trossachs Country.
Your Hotel is located below a hill called Ben Venue, the first hill I ever climbed way back in April 1962. You will probably visit the Woolen Mill at Kilmahog.....there you will meet.....'Hamish' a very famous Highland Bull.
He has his own Web Page....do a Google and you'll find him.

Have a good day ya all !

Keep well, keep safe, keep smiling :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

I will be thinking of you Jean hope things go well for you today. keep smiling.

George. my sister and I go to the little Cafe for a coffee when we are in Regents Park. when the flowers are out on the otherside to the entrance it is really lovely to sit there and take it all in. and its free lol.
One winter we went and the lake was frozen ( a few years ago when we had that realy bad winter ) and we still sat on the seat and watched the ducks and other birds skidding along on the ice. it is the first time I have every seen that.l we then walk over to the entrance by the Zoo sometimes we go in. my sister goes there a lot she has a yearly pass.

Morning Stephen hope you had a good weekend and have a good day.

Cath we have a lovely morning here the sun is out and the sky is clear but the forecast last night was not good for this week.

see you later

George...... That zimmer frame is holding up well , glad you had a good day in London, I left there 20yrs ago and lived in Kensington at one time ,so I know Regents park quite well.

Rita Report 1 Aug 2011 10:24

Marilyn when having a bridge made I was told to breath in and out and wriggle my toes to stop me being sick.. I think it is not that it stops you being sick just gives you something to think of so it takes your mind off having it done.

I have a filling come out of one of my teeth I had filled 6 weeks ago and it is driving me mad. I go back to the dentist next monday so I am trying to last till then.
