Oh my god, whats going on with this site. When I first logged into here, I got messages for someone called Peter, and when I checked through the rest, they were all for people I have never heard of before. No wonder people are not getting answers to their requests to view others trees, if this has been going on for some time.
Well what a night I had last night, soooo funny. I felt quite a slim Jim, amongst all the fifteen stone plus men. In my singles I had to play a man who was scoring nothing but 180's through the game, till he got down to a finish, when my biggest score was only sixties, so no contest, he beat me hands down.lol We were running a charity money raising event at the same time, to get more money for the Kent Air Ambulance. Anyone who scored below 26, had to make a donation. The men are going to continue with this, all through their dart season, in the hopes of raising some money for a good cause. Last season they raised £550.00, but this season they are starting raising funds earlier, in the hope of getting more money.

Morning All.
Nice to see you Cath you have been missed, I hope you are feeling better today ....we all get them horrible down days not nice are they :-S
Yesterday my son & daughter in law asked me to look after my grand daughter as they went to Ikea for new bedroom furnisher for the kids room ,it was a 2hr drive to Bristol but they did not come home until 8-30pm I was whacked out with entertaining my grand daughter all day....hence not getting on thread .
Rita ....the prices in sains b*rys were pretty much the same ,didn't think anything went up in price, but I did buy a lot of buy one get one free !! mainly fruit. Pity you haven't got one or the other super markets nearer to you than Waitr*se.
Awwh I didn't wish Stevey a great holiday, I must have missed that post .......sorry Stevey :-S
Rita you made me laugh about those phone calls....on hearing their voices coming from Mars !! :-D Pete has a better answer......Cant tell you the words its BAD ..LOL
George.... you'll have to look after us girls now as Stevey is away ....,Dermot only pops in now and again , we need checking every so often ;-).. I think we have frightened Foggy away !

Afternoon all.
Maddie, I'm having problems with the whole board - not just this thread. When I try to read any of the threads I get the 'Error' message. Most of the time I just give up and don't bother.
Mo, did you have to make many donations then? Just as well I wasn't playing, don't think I could hit the board.
Rita, my mother didn't know how to use a zimmer frame either. When she was very ill and unable to walk properly she was given a zimmer frame. She hadn't a clue how to use it............. she lifted it off the ground a bit and tried walking with it in front of her like a metal detector. It still makes me laugh just thinking about it.
Marilyn, I thought you asked Stephen if you could go with him when he said he was going on his boat............. can't be bothered to go back through the thread and look.
Shelly, I hate it when they change things around in the supermarket, takes twice as long to do the shopping.

I didnt go into town this morning I went and collected my Chat and Take a break books then strolled into the charity shop. as the mangeress introduced me to her young daughter. I brought a couple of books while there Anna Jacobs one of my favorite authors.. I got speaking to a women there as she said Anna was one of her favourtie authors as well.. She told me she writes for a living. books on Historical Mysteries. I told her my niece is an author and she went under two names as sometimes when she writes for magazines they dont print the same name of the auhor twice so she uses my Great Great Grandmothers name and her married name. My friend called in to see me and she said that Sainsburys didnt seem t have altered prices up like Waitrose. Pauline I had to laugh at your mother and a zimmer frame I have a friend who lives in Edgware and she uses one indoors but drives one of those mobile motors when she goes out
I took some books up to an elderly friend not far from my flat as she isnt able to get out only up to the laundryroom and back.she uses a zimmer frame when I ring her bell she calls out to me please wait I am coming but cannot move very fast.I always open the letter box and tell her to take her time I am not going anywhere. today she came along not with her ximmer frame but with a trolly table on wheels. she is in her late 80.s
Marilyn I can imagine what Pete would have said when I told my son he said BT can control the rubbish calls in England but not from over seas he said just put the phone down or dont answer it until the answer phone clicks in and then if it is someone I know answer it striaght away.

Hi everyone, It's the week-end. I'm off to Silverton Street Market tomorrow! When I first saw about Stephen's holiday I thought he was joking! I got a leaflet about a Devon and Cornwall railcard. As long as you can prove you live in Devon and Cornwall you pay £10 and get 1/3 off any trips in Devon and Cornwall. :-) I've heard of Anna Jacobs. I had a book out from the library by her but I never got round to reading it :-0

Pat that sounds good to get a 1/3rd off your rail fare. my sister and I renew our senior rail cards every year as it does save a bit. I get third off when I go on the train to visit her she waits for me at Waterloo and when we used the Euro star it was a bid help. but since we first brought one it goes up every year. with my sister as she has a London bus pass she is allowed to travel on the tube free but when she comes to me she get the price from Waterloo to Clapham Juction ? free and has to pay for the rest of the journey
Marilyn I beat you but 2 seconds. what have you been up to today ? standing holding the ladder for Pete. ? I was just watching the traffic news on TV the M25 is blocked solid due to an accident this afternoon a lorry hit the centre resavation and hit a car killing someone. my family use that road to get to me . I am pleased they didnt come over today. My youngest son 54 is off fishing somewhere for the day has days off to go fishing to use up his holidays, he is off to Turkey in a couple of weeks time.

Rita,
No ladder holding ....Its all been painted on the outside.of the house..
But the lounge has to be painted next week ....then I have to hold the ladder as the ceiling is all one with the walls ,just the beams have to be avoided , I hate that job of holding the ladder as Pete takes too long to paint !! he's too much of a perfectionist :-S
My son has just come back from Turkey and loved it so too did the kids.

My son was due to go there last year, but had to cancel and the company he is going with held it over too this year. he is going to a holiday complex him his wife and two daughters and a son I dont think Becky will go next year as she will be at university..
I hope you wear a helmet when your holding the ladder while Pete is paining. LOL. my son in law was like that everything had to be just so maybe because he trained as an engineer made him that way ? He cannot do anything at the moment still getting over the big cancer operation but he is getting there its been 14 months since he had that done and 8 months since my eldest son had his kidney removed with cancer. Steve will not bebale to work again he is retired now but Mike cannot wait to get back to his job as a Parmedic but they have told him he can not do any heavy work till he gets the all clear.l
I am off to watch a bit of TV now.
Rita.

Lol Pauline, no I didn't have to donate money to the charity, as I was a guest player for the night. They called me the ringer, and no I am not into bell ringing.
Is there any news from Linda yet. It's a worry when one of our friends go missing. I know that the giddiness was back, but not knowing how she is, is a worry in itself.
Enjoy your day at the market Pat, but don't do a Marilyn and Maddie and buy the whole place up.
Marilyn, holding that ladder will help to build your muscles up. You dont need bat wings when you go on holiday. ( no I am not saying you are an old bat, and nor am I saying that you could fly yourself to the destination). I mean the horrible saggy bat wings that hang down under the arms. I hate to see them, and would have to cover my arms completely if I had them.
Hi Rita.
