Rita,
I gave my Vampire books to the church fete. Some books I just lend to friends and say don't worry about giving them back. Some books I keep myself. It all depends.
If it's the second Elizabethan era I'd be a Serving wrench ;-)
Going shopping now!

Afternoon folks,
Linda good to hear from you, sorry you're still not too well. ((((hugs)))).
I hope all goes well for your daughter at the scan.
I have spent the best part of today organising my youngest daughters 21st birthday surprise meal. All going to plan at the moment :-D I can't believe she will be 21 already, where did the years go. We all tend to spoil her as when she was only a week old she was extremely ill and we feel privileged that she pulled through. She was very lucky to survive. <3 <3
Must get on with tonights meal (Fajitas) or the tribe will be home and no grub on the table :-(

Shelly didnt know you had a Kindle.? you dont need to dust the books either having one of them. me I love to handle a book when I am reading. at one time I collected M & B's Histroical Novels I had three shelves full.after four years I gave them to Charity shop. now I have a vast collection of diferent type books on Histroical London all books on the history of London and then I have some Novels and Histroica;l Novels among others.
Cath I hope the surprise dinner goes off well 21 years old I was married at 20 and the next year when I was 21 the firm I worked for gave me a party my husband worked there as well at that time .
I still have two books I was given by friends. with happy 21st written on them.
when i was having my daughter they gave me a Baby shower that was in 1952 it was an American Company Remington Rands.

Agatha
I was like that when I lived in Norfolk I had twice as many rooms and all bigger than I have here so I had built in book cases from floor to ceiling all full of books that I wanted to keep the others as I said went to the market stall. where I swapped them for new books

I have been to the surgery I saw the nurse from the hospital such a nice person. I had test done on my legs and feet and blood pressure done on my feet and toes then n on my legs and then my normal blood test she said it was lower than usual so she was pleased. I have cream for my rash on my legs and I am going to try thin elascated stockings, I have to go back in September what a busy month that will be I have the Cancer clinic for scan results to see if it is still dormant also wafain blood test and the Dentist that is after I come back from the wedding. Oh happy days .

Evening all,

Hope you all have had a brilliant day whatever you have been doing.

Went to Swindon today, good day.
First to a shopping area with a large asda, got a couple of shirts, then to the old railway termenal or shunting yard where there is now an outlet....had lunch there, then into Swindon town.
All in all a good day with lots of laughs along the way.

George

Hi George nice to know you had a good day did you go with Foggy ?
I bet you did have a lot of laughs. I am like that when I go out with my sister, when I go to Hampstead near the Heath where she lives we go into town and we laugh all the way there and back. we always find something amusing.

I am of to watch a little bit of TV then will sit and read some more of my book.

I think we might have rain again later on. and my son is sitting at a lake near Sandhurst fishing with some friends he went yesterday and stayed over night.

Booo Hooo Agatha forgot to add my name to the friendlies. I shall stamp my feet, and scweam and scweam till I am noticed. lol

Good evening one and all. It looks like everyone has had a busy day today.
George and Foggy seem to have been travelling a lot, this past week. I am very envious of them both.

Linda, it's so nice to hear from you. It was getting to the point of us sending out the search parties for you.
I hope you start to feel a lot better very soon. Has the doctor given you any new medication to try.

Cath I hope the surprise 21 party goes off well. Are you holding it tonight?

Marilyn, have you got the extra trunks for us, for our holiday on the QE2. You know you can't go without us, not this time. Theres been so many times you have left us all behind, and you did pwomise us when you went to America the last time, that you would take us with you. Shelly, Pauline, Linda,Maddie, Rita amd myself are a witnesses to what you said. lol

Come on folks, lets nag her till she agrees to take us.

Mo....unless you like trains you wouldn't like the train journey across America after.....very tiring ;-)

Shelly what's wrong with your Ancestry ?

Foggy..... I lived in London for 30yrs, I was posh as I lived at one time in the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea LOL :-D
Much posher than Maddie.. :-P

I have just done a pile of ironing....well overdue. I'm happy now that its done.

Linda ...glad to see your Post ...always welcome

But Shelly, Marilyn leaves her brother in control of the house. Look what happened last time we tried to gate crash, he supplied us with tents to camp out in the field behind the barn.
And that bull charging at us was no fun, I just can't run as fast as you anymore.
Sue picked you Maddie and myself up on the way, and made us late because of the traffic. Poor Linda and Pauline had to hitch hike all the way.
Rita was lucky she had a nice coach trip down.lol
