Morning everyone, a bright and sunny start to the day :-D I'm still reeling at the sad news from Jersey. I just can;t believe anybody could hurt little children like that, the Jersey police are now saying it was 3 children, 2 women and 1 man who died. Heartbreaking. No work today so will probably take grandchildren to the park this afternoon for some fun and frolics :-D
Hope all the friendlies are well, <3 <3 <3

I heard that yesterday on a special News Flash about the deaths how terrible, it is bad enough when it happens to adults but little children who have not lived long enough to have enjoyed themselves I expect it all will come out who did it and why ? God Bless them. and their families
George you must tell me what you take to go gallivated about like you do ? are you older than Foggy or younger ? good to have a friend who you can go about with.. I dont have anyone like that not around here.
Hello to all my friends on friendly thread. hope you all have a good day and good weather to go with it. off to do my washing now two loads. where does it all come from there is only me here.

Morning everyone, hope you all had a peaceful night. Looks like we could have a good day here, sunny and warm at the momnt. Is there any good news? just been watching the morning news and all it contained was murders, more riot news, house prices having to be dropped again, wonder when this country will start to get back to being a nice place to be. Hope you are all well and enjoying life, to anyone going to work I wish you a good and stressfree day. Wonder if Stephen is enjoying his sailing. Take care and stay safe. Jean xx :-) :-) :-)

Morning Al,
Yes I'm gutted about the murders as well,, apparently the man that did the stabbings also stabbed him self and is hospitalized , I hope he makes a good recovery and spends the rest of his days locked up with the keys thrown away.
Bless those dear little kids....
On a lighter note.......No Stevey at the marina I was there for 4hrs sat on deck drinking my fine red wine.........but the funny thing was I spilled my wine all over my ( linen trousers this is for Maddie )..LOL but my friends hubby took me down the gully to change into HIS pair of spare trousers!! We put mine on the ropes to dry ..........Oh I didn't want Stevey to see me now anyway !! .at least my trousers were brown so when they dried they looked same as before :-D.
Tomorrow morning I'm going to hospital for a MRI scan , but because I'm silly frightened about these MRI tubes as I call them they are going to sedate me :-S I panic just looking at the darn thing !
George.......I hope that's not where you take your lady's friends to Monkey world .. :-S.. She'll wish you behind bars !! LOL
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ To Jean .. :-D
Morning all,
Lovely sunny day again, hope you all are having the same.
Rita, I am much younger than the old boy, I'm a spring chicken at 66, old Foggs is in his 70s. We had a great day yesterday, there was 5 of us, lots of laughing at the antics some of the monkey got up to. Walked a little then had a sit down then walk some more, so it was ok.
LOL Matilyn, there were three ladies with us yesterday, they all thought the monkeys were more handsome than old Foggs :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D Good luck with your MRI scan.
George :-) :-) :-) :-) ;-) ;-)
Oh Oh, how come they let George and Foggy into monkey world, they have enough cheeky chimps in there, without adding another two.lol It's nice to hear you had a good day the five of you. I love watching the antics of mokeys, they are fascinating and funny.
Good luck with the MRI scan tomorrow Marilyn. I have to admit, just looking at the machine gave me the willies, but fortunately my head was left outside of the machine. Even then, I was getting impatient waiting for it to be over.
I hope everyone is enjoying the lovely sunshine today. I met up with my friends this morning, for coffee, and to put the world to rights. It was glorious sitting in the sun, and watching the world and his wife pass by. Cor you do see some sights though. I do wonder why larger ladies, think they can get away with walking around town, in a pair of shorts and skimpy top, showing all the extra flab off. Not a pleasant sight. Thats o.k, if you are on holiday, or down on the beach, where everyone is wearing something similar, but not in a shopping precinct. Or am I being snobby now, I do hope not, but if I come across that way, then I will shut my cakehole. ;-)
I know what you mean Mo, a large lady walks past my home with her dog every morning, wearing tight cycling shorts that are so stretched you can see through them, I dont even think she has a cycle. Sounds like you had a fun day out George. Hope the MRI scan goes OK Marilyn
Afternoon Friendlies It's been a funny sort of day. Really nice to start with then clouded up but has come to nothing and is still overcast, but quite warm. Started to hang the wallpaper this morning in the bedroom, hope might get it finished tomorrow when hubby is off, it's only on one wall. Then we need to choose carpet and curtains. Never ending and all to tidy it up, not even a room that is used very often. But it was dated and needed doing. I have a huge pile of ironing Ugh Maybe this evening? Just washed the kitchen floor so that is OK Have been doing some more research
Have a nice afternoon everyone
Linda :-) <3
Marilyn like you I hate those MRI machines the last one I had they allowed my sister to sit with me she had to remove any metal or gold even her watch. but I was so pleased she stayed with me.
I dont like the CAT scans I have every three months it is the idione injection they do that make me feel ill. anyway love I will be thinking of you.
shame you didnt see our stevie.
George I could be your mother a child mum lol.not Foggy though he is nearer my age. I am like that when out I sit and then walk then sit I look for seats so I know where to make for. its annoying when your legs tired and you see a seat and make for it. you cannot run( too old )and smeone beats you to it. you feel like having acuss till you see they are as old or older than you. Mo I have put so much weight on due mostly to my steiroids but I feel embrassed when I see great big ladies in tight trousers or short shorts and tops that show a good deal of waistline and they stroll around. also I hate to see women in white trousers and you can see right through them not a nice sight. Hello Agatha and Linda. I have done all my washing and shopping refilled the freezer tomorrow I have the gas boiler man coming to service the boiler. no time given just due to viisit you on 16th August. It has got very overcast here. it was lovely y till hour ago then we got a slight wind now we have a grey sky.
Hi All,
Rita Thanks for thinking about me ....I have just posted on Dizzi's thread after you...LOL I did mention that the Iodine feels warm when they inject it, I have had several of them. Its the dam MRI scan that I get panicky about......what a big baby I am, Pete had to come in with me the last time.
I have a bed awaiting for me tomorrow I think the doctor might assume I'm going to kick off big time LOL Well I will if they don't knock me out :-S I did suggest a tray of G&T'S or two or three bottles of plonk !! that'll do the trick .
George we are about the same age.....but not telling you exactly ..I want you to think I'm still a chick !!
:-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D
Rita, if you were to meet Foggy, you would not think he is the age that he is. I reckon he must have been using a special face cream for years. I do wear white trousers Rita, but thank the lord I have not got a HUGE spare tyre hanging over the top off them. But the ones I bought, I got from M+S and they are thicker so don't show your underwear, thank goodness. But I do know what you mean.
Ooh Agatha, lycra cycling shorts, they used to be so popular with the younger people, like the shell suits used to be as well, but these days are so not nice. I didn't realise that they still sold them.
What colour wall paper have you chosen Linda. Now don't go overdoing it, and knocking yourself out. You are only just getting over your last bout of giddiness. Take it slowly love.
Evening Rita, Agatha, Linda, Marilyn, and Mo.
Marilyn, don't worry about the scan, I am sure everything will be Ok. I would never ask a ladies age...lol might try to have a guess though :-D :-D :-D
Good luck with the decorating Linda, whenever I attempt doing some it always seems to take ages...lol.
Rita, If your near the old boys age, you would have to be a child bride to be my mum..lol :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D ;-)
MO, you need to go to spec savers, using special face cream..lol. hes an ugly old git :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D
Agatha, don't know about cycling shorts but there was a woman yesterday in a pair of the biggest high heels, a short skirt and one of those boob tubes, walking round monkey world.???? whats that all about....lol :-D :-D
Hope you have all had a brilliant day today, don't laugh, I fell asleep in the chair...LOL
George :-D :-D :-D :-D
Ahhhh Foggy, George is being orrible about you. I can assure you ladies, Maddie, and Yvonne will back me up about our Foggy, he's a really nice gentleman, and does NOT look his age. For those of us who were Adam Faith fans, (even though Foggy doesn't like to think he resembles him) will know what I mean. Anyway George you are a young stripling, not an old boy.
Mmmm Helmans mayo, lovely Pat. I bet you enjoyed your dinner, it's so much nicer when you don't have to cook and prepare it yourself.
I think white looks smart whether shorts, skirts of slacks but people forget to put on things undereath that would hide some of the sights. so I hope your not offended with what I have said. I would love to be slim and wear white. George I could be your school girl Mum I am 14 years older than you ?
Marilyn I know so many people who dread having an MRI scan if you cannot stand being shut in your worse. Three males in my family nearly had heart attacks when they had to have them. what I do is try to concentrate on something else to be honest I say a prayer to St Jude. and keep repeating it.
George I dont know how these young people walk on heels that size. they seem to lean forward when they walk. Victoria Beckham wears very high heels.
Rita,
I said the decade of the Rosary the last time .. as it took 40mins !!
Anyway I'll be asleep this time ... :-S
Thanks for all your kind thoughts.
I have just had some bad news ......my niece had breast cancer in January and although it was a success , it left her very depressed tonight she has been rushed into hospital as she seems to have lost it........I think she could'nt come to terms with it and has been on medication for depression. Probably the doctor is taken no chances in her self destruction and hospitalized her ....my brother is so distraught ...
So I may well see her tomorrow as its the same hospital as the one I'm going too...
Oh Happy days .......
