Morning All,

Shelly, perhaps your son want to practice camping expeditions
he'll be out there climbing Mount Everest soon..LOL

Good luck Jean for Christies thinking of you X

Linda....my appointment is just a discussion on what to do.... ,my tooth was extracted as I bit on a olive stone and cracked the whole root ....So its a bridge or screw in, or small plate with a tooth attached ...uggh

Rita...that was one of the best WDYTYA, how clever of her to notice the hand writing was not his ...I was really into the German & French bit.now I did learn something there, it was well done.

Its a rotten day here just like winter without the cold , I hope it clears up !
Stevey wont be out sailing today , best he popped in on us instead :-D

Pauline ...about time you showed up as well , we are missing you , we all miss the friendlies when they haven't peeped in .

Cath your missing as well !

Hello all

I enjoyed WDYTYA last night, it was very interesting and she met a rellie at the end, she speaks French well.

Thanks for the ending of The Hoarder Agatha. Her house makes mine look like a palace, my OH keeps stuff that we don't need anymore but he's not as bad as that lady.

It's our wedding anniversary today, 21 years, not going out tonight maybe get a take away, going out Sunday with my sister and her family.

George, I originally come from Kent, near where Mo lives, then moved to Hertfordshire when I met my OH, my dad's family are from Kent and Sussex and my mum came from Lancashire.

Hi Agatha.

Well yes been to the dentist ,and still working on 3 different types of bridges all so confusing !! it could end up with having a piece of bone from my jaw inserted into my gums (mini op) to help grow with the gum bone that is already there ...LOL
apparently when the root came out from the original tooth it left a gap in the gum .......
So I'm thinking hard about what to do ,in the mean time I'm having a temporally one inserted at least I'll look presentable for my holls
I haven't even asked the Price YET !! LOL I must be mad :-S

*HAPPY ANNIVERSARY YVONNE & HUBBY* just as good a take away, don't forget the wine :-D

I'm getting a bottle out for tonight ...CBB sad aren't I , but I have a feeling Mo & Shelly & Maddie & Agatha will be watching as well.....

Shelly.... he might want to sleep in that tent again tonight, best leave it well alone or you'll be in trouble :-S

Afternoon Marilyn, Agatha, Rita, Yvonne, PatricaAnn, and Dame Shelly.

At least the rain has stopped, has been tipping it down here today..
Last nights WDYTYA was much better than the week before, just wish they would show a little on how to go about researching.

Looking forward to tomorrow as I am going to see my son and family, not too keen on the train journey..lol.

Hope all you girls have had a great day even though it has been raining.

George :-) :-)

I wonder what has happened to Cath. Did she say she was going away on holiday this week, I can't really remember. I hope she is o.k.
When is our Pauline back from her hols I wonder. And Stephen seems to have been on holiday forever.

Hi everyone,
Would you believe I'm off out to the gym!
I had another one of those adverts come through my door and I thought this is a sign if there ever was such as anything. I phoned up yesterday evening and I've got a tour of the gym 7.15pm! I tried to explain to the man that I didn't need to lose weight. I'm feeling a bit nervous about it all now but I'm surre it'll be fine :-)

Rita Report 18 Aug 2011 18:52

I know Maida Vale well George I worked in a Leons warehouse there before I went into the Land Army. I use to type out all the orders for the kiosks that was all 0ver London many in stations. I had a
machine called a contomitor ( dont think I have spelt that right ) like a big printing press.
I go to Waterloo station everytime I go to stay with my sister. then have to catch two buses to Golders Green then onto Hampstead Garden Suburb.I dont mind the traveling it is the walking that does me in.

Yes the rain came and stayed and is still with us the car park outside my flat is deep with water. the drains dont take it quickly enough it was so dark. I thought good job the man came to read the electric metre this morning. so I have a clean slate to put the lights on till he comes again.
it feel like winter as well as it has got quiet cold.
Pat your have great big muscles working out in the GYM. my son goes three times a week but his is too lose weight.

GRMarilyn Report 18 Aug 2011 20:04

Pat,

I really don't think you need a gym ! LOL you are tiny as it is.

I need to go to a gym....but I hate exercise of any kind ,walking is the only exercise I don't mind doing.

I made an appointment to have my nails done for next Wednesday....Oh the prices do vary I booked one salon but found another one cheaper , so gonna cancel the first one tomorrow .

Dermot haven't seen you in a while , I can hear my mother say that phase she was half Irish ....always said the wrong thing at the wrong time ...

Hi All
What a miserable day. Missed a season somewhere and it had to be summer LOL
New dentist is nice(if youcan say that) Back tomorrow to see the hygenist. Appointment in October(first for 2 together) to have tooth remains removed .
Hope yors isn't too expensive Marilyn. Mine is basic £47 for check & extraction. Hubby's is £90 for a white(stronger and more natural ) filling. Then £60 each for hygenist. Expensive eh?
Got new light fitting for bedroom and lampshade and a couple of knobs for the wardrobe. All done and old underlay lifted and bagged up for the dustmen on Monday. Vacuumed all the dust and cleared the room ready for when hubby decides to go and see what carpet he likes. But not today !!! Nor curtains or special paint to do up my "utility chest of drawers". This was my great Aunt's(my godmother), ancient but such a lot of space unlike todays furniture. I have a couple of pieces of mismatched furniture and I thought painting them would finish the room off for visitors.
Oh I emptied the fish tank and moved it from the dining room into the kitchen where it used to be. We'll see them more and now we have no little ones it seems a better place for them.

Have a nice evening

Linda

Hi MotownGal,

Wouldn't know about ladies shoe shops...LOL but there is a nice resturant at the top of his road, it sits on the Edgware road above the canal, you can have a meal and watch the barges go up and down little Venice.

PatricaAnn, good for you joining a gym, I used to love going to the gym before my accident, really miss it.

Hi Linda and MO.
