Hello Yvvone how are you are things going OK . ?
Hello to Jean as well. how are things wih you Jean ? have you heard anything about Scarlett ?
I have just opened the long window in my front room it was so chilly this morning even though we had a nice sunny day.but it has warmed up slightly so I opened them to let the fresh air in.
I have been trying to sort thorugh some of the papers I have in and on my desk. I keep promising to clean them out but delay and then they get worse. I do hate to leave jobs and then worry about them.
I have sorted out my list for the things I need to take on my holiday/Granddaughters wedding. I hope the weather improves. for her. I feel I need that break now. but I have so much to do befor then and I have under 10 days to fit them all in.
Hope you all had a good weekend.

Hello Mo and Rita
Mo a lot of my rellies are from around Hastings, then moved to Canterbury, Gillingham and Chatham. My older sister and her family used to have a caravan on a park just outside Hastings, I think it was a Haven park.
Rita I think it's quite chilly.

Evening All !
I'm going back to my Yacht ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)
It's too much like hard work being at home :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P
It's gonna take a month to catch up with this thread.
When I was in Oban the Police remembered the GR squad that had caused a riot last year......Beating up the Trawlermen outside the Pub :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D I had to explain I was on my own and that you had all been on good behaviour for the last year ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)
I have missed my daily dose of GR Friendly Folk............and the humour of the Thread.
It's good to be back <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

Shhh Stephen, don't mention Oban to Rita, wasn't that where we lost her to the, ahem ,coach driver before we got chased out of the place. I blame Pauline and Maddie for looking up the Trawlermens kilts, when they were singing the sea shanties to us. lol I want to know when we are going back.....we can always go in disguise, especially if it's around Halloween time, we could do a fly past on our broomsticks. And you could drop your smellie haggis bombs on them. Remember last year, when Maddie took us on the London trip on our B/Sticks.

Mo........
Oban at Halloween , that would be a laugh. There are sure to be some Trawlermen in town then.
Oban was packed with the usual Summer Tourists. I only went ashore to get some provisions and to the Fuel Jetty for some diesel. I don't use a lot of fuel but like to keep the tank full in case of an emergency. A tank full would take me 50 mile or so. More than enough to get out of trouble.
I see Marilyn is off on another trip. At least she missed Hurricane Irene.
Having a nice relax just now with some chilled Irn-Bru. :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

well I did enjoy watching "The Edinburgh Tattoo" this evening
I had never seen the Dutch Cycle regiment. ? when I was on holiday in Amsterdam a few years ago I dont think I have very seen so many cycles at the station car park and people riding them I took a lot of photos to show my family when I got back. The German Army mountain marching band was good as well. I was humming along to the pipes bands It was a shame the weather was not so good for them/
I have some glass made at the glass factory from Oban had it for years. My Mother anf Father always brought my sister and myself a piece of Oban glass every year when they went up there.for their holidays.
I am off to bed now. so sleep well,
Love Rita

I walked across to the Post Office to post some birthday cards and then brought some stamps 1 book of 12 second class and two books of large second class I didnt get much change out of £20 note.
I took some blouses into the charity shop I brought three in Weym, outh last year at a famers marker all the same design but different colours tried one on in June and it was too small no good going all the way to Weymouth to change them so I gave them to the shop, they all had their labels on. I paid £5 each for those I brought a box of wirtting paper while in the shop engraved Parchment paper with envelopes it is really lovely the headings are of old building in London. London Bridge in 1616 Smithfiels Market in 1554.London Westminster in 1660 and more 24 sheets and envelopes all boxed I got it for £1 how about that for a bargain ?
Agatha I brought two boxes of Christmas cards last month which was on sale for Macmillian Nurses. I dont usually buy that early but I thought they were so nice and all for a good cause.

Afternoon everyone, I've been busy, still busy really, just popping in to say bye to Marilyn but looks like I missed her. Hope you have a lovely holiday Marilyn.
Shelly have you made and appointment at the doctors?
Stephen, good to see you're back with us, we were wondering if we should get the air-sea rescue out or just get the brooms out and look for you ourselves. Mo and Rita were all for flying up there to find you but I think it was the trawlermen they were after really.
Got to go out now............. hope you all have a lovely day.
It's bloody freezing here!!!

Evening all,
Hope everyone has had a brilliant day today.
Nice to have you back from your travels Stephen, all the girls have been missing you like crazy.
We went to the Notting Hill carnival yesterday, had a fantastic day, it was brilliant, very colourful. Some of the costumes the women were wearing were brilliant ( and skimpy ) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) The old boy seemed be having a blinder of a time, he was chatting to a really lovely looking Japanese woman which did not go down too well with the Sloane ranger. LOL :-D :-D :-D :-D All in all the day was great.
George :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

Good evening all. George, I would love to go to the carnival one year, it's something I have been promising myself for a few years now, and have never gotten round to it. I read in the newspaper that there was a stabbing yesterday at the event. Someone got stabbed in the leg, and a bystander tripped up the person who did it, and he was arrested. Don't tell me you had to take Foggy into a pub to calm him down a bit, after all that excitement.
I agree with Pauline and Linda, re the weather, it's been bloomin cold here today, in fact I have had a bath, and am sitting here in my jama's and dressing gown, if I had my way I would put the fire on, but im indoors would moan that it's to warm. Think I will go and make a nice cuppa tea to warm myself up a bit.

Just been trying to cook a couple of trout I got from the trout farm....didn't turn out too well. :-S :-S
