I have run walked 2 miles...fast LOL lost 2 pounds this week.

Thank you all for your bithday wishes I have had a nice day with my sister we went out to lunch we chatted non stop.she brought me some Books on Willesden during the War years three and I cannot wait to read them it was during the time the schools were evacuated when I went and all about the places I know so well.
I have also got the book she got published written by our Dad but edited by my sister she is so good at grammer taught English and History at school I cannot tell you how happy it makes me to see Dads work in a book. He would have been so overcome by it all.

I had 22 birrthday cards and lots of presents I feel like a kid.I have had people( local )visit me and telephone calls. and emails.

Thank you all for making it a great day for me.

Mo that was as turn up for the books Stacey saying she did it but she was on the square singing carols when Bradley went after Archie so how could she have done it ?lifted the great big brass Victoria head to hit him with It takes some believing. I was surprsied that Ronnie said her father raped her I wonder if he was Danielles father I cannot remember if she every said who the father was.

I am going to have a cup of hot chocolateand have an early night I feel tired after all this excitment of today .

Morning to all my friends.
I woke at 6.30 pulled the curtains back and thought it was brght outside. it was white as snow, and was due to the frost every car is white ,whether it is really coloured or not the grass green yesterday ,is white today and it is bitterly cold but the sun is coming out so it should all go soon
Have nothing planned for the weekend I have to send some of the books off of Dad to family.
a couple of letters to write. thats about it.
Hope you all have a lovely weekend and that where ever you are you have decent weather.

I can see you are all busy no one about only me.
I have been and posted off five of the books of Dads to some of the family I was surprised I thought they would have cost more. but I did'nt moan Lol.
The sun is out and it is warm I have the windows wide open gettting the fresh air before it becomes cold again.
Marilyn was that your thread about returned mail ? I had that trouble a couple of times the first I found I had left a dot out and the next time the person I had emailed had changed her email address and had forgotten to let me know.

See you are the only one up !!! I have been to our local shop for the telegraph for hubby as he is at work this morning. I posted half a dozen cards for when I am away. Now I won't have to worry.
It was cold but crisp and bright. Felt a bit chesty when I got back, I really can't cope with the cold just now. 20 minutes is about all I can manage.

Dad is in hospital on Monday for his operation.
Mum has a full CT scan on Wednesday and a bone marrow test too.

Why are our families all going through so much at the moment eh? Still we are all fighters and we will get through it.

I will be thinking of your Dad on Monday and hope he get on well. it is all worry I expect your Mum is worried too they dont always show it do they ? I find it is the waiting time that is the biggest worry you imagine all sorts of things.
I had a card from a friend in Norfolk for my birthday and she had to wait a year for a gall bladder operation they had just told her she will go in on 3rd march for the day.
when I had mine done at the same hospital James paget Hospital in Great Yarmouth I had a gall bladder operation and they kept me in for the full ten days.,
I often wonder if they send people out too quickly these days.
you will have to learn to walk slowly Linda I get out of breath since i had my blood clot on my lungs sometimes i am fine others I puff away trying to get my breath.

Rita,I was discussing the stacey scenario with my friends this morning,and we all said the same as you. How the heck could she have picked that heavy bust up(of queen victoria for those who do not watch)
and hit Archie over the head,he being a lot taller than her,unless he was on the floor. And I have heard off split personalities,but how can she be in two places at one time.
My lord I know what you meant about the frost this morning. Our poor little car looked like an igloo. Thank the lord for heated windscreens,it soon was clear enough for us to go shopping.

I'm home...Lovely ..!

Just putting my feet up for a change, I have to say my son & his wife was so grateful to us, he wanted to buy me a piece of jewelery as a thank you prezzie,now he is so generous, but I declined as I am the grandmother after all ..LOL

Rita that is another Marilyn on Genes....I have always got my little man with me !

Linda hope your Dad opp goes well I'm sure it will and hope your mum can manage to see the day through without too much worry.

Yes please Marilyn I wil lhave a cup of hot chocolate/ for some reason I have felt so tired this evening I was watching TV "In it to winnit"and fell asleep woke just as it was finishing
I am so angry with myself I wont sleep tonight now.

I had made a list of all the little jobs I need to do tomorrow incase I forgot.and now I cannot find it.
too much excitment from yesterday I expect.
I dont think I will stay up too late tonight I will take a book to bed with me.

Marilyn you have it two ways and electric blanket and a husband to keep you warm. poor me has nothing. and no one. weep weep.

I use to have electric blankets we had a lot of friends when we lived in Ealing who were firemen an talking once they told me that most of their fires at that time were due to electric blankets. they were fine but some people never bother to get them check out to make sure they were safe after a time,
Bob bless him offered to check peoples blankets free he came over to my scout hut and did just that most passed but a lot didnt..
I never had en electric blanket after that.
funny thing was one of my electric blankets failed the test.
when l was a kid we had stone hot water bottle they were very good till that heat began to get cold then your feet did.
Mum said they were to get the bed warm for you not to leave in over night.
a few years back my sister and I was abroad and we went to a fleemarket and a man had antique items he was selling and we saw some of these stone Hot water bottles. we started giggling I said to Sheila that proves we are old and pass the sell by date.

Been busy as I have all the family here tonight for a family meal for our youngests 25th birthday also her fiance is 25 in March whilst we are away. So we will celebrate his birthday too.

Stripped the bed and washing done. Tumbling the sheets and will put the rest onto my airer.

So wet this morning not very nice at all here. Will be glad to get away. Have to walk into the village sometime this week have to pay our bills before we leave.

Hope to get back on when the gang have gone.

Oh todays menu:
Prawn cocktail for starters
Gammon , jacket potatoes and vegetables for Main
Cheese and biscuits
Chocolate pudd(bought for 2 people who have extemely sweet teeth !)
Marmalade bread and butter pudding(Delia's recipe)
and for me Merangue with fresh fruit salad
Coffee or tea.

Morning all,

Rita my electric blanket is a night one !
I paid a lot of money for it and it has a safety valve in the plug approved by the British Standard Association, if it ever fails I will sue them to the hills !!
If I'm still alive to sue them ..LOL
And I do leave it on all night on number 1.....wonderful.

Hubby 's no good he just sleeps with his back to me as he listens to the Radio with ear plugs and then falls asleep . no good as a blanket to me !

Oh I do like my comfort ...LOL

Now I'm relaxing again today ,got time for myself .

No even going to cook ....got a couple of fish cakes with chips & peas .

What are you all doing today ?
