Morning ladies, hope you are all ok. thank you for all your kind thoughts, they are much appreciated. I saw my doctor late yesterday afternoon, the result was positive. I start radio therapy next week.

Dear Jean so sorry you had a positive on the biopsy, but the treatment will start very soon for you. Keeping you in my thoughts and hope that you are OK otherwise.

Morning everyone. Much brighter here today. It was very windy here through the day and yesterday evening was quite wet. We managed the BBQ and had a nice evening with our neighbours. They are extending their rental by a further 6 months so that is nice and more settled for them and us. I think they like the house and if it came up for sale would think about buying it. We got out some old photos of how the garden looked when we moved here nearly 20 years ago, oh yes it has changed !!! Then we looked at a book of old local pictures and that was a mutual interest as the husband had worked at Wellington College and now works for the East Berkshire Golf Club(and plays a lot too). So the evening went really quickly.

On my own today no children hubby at work. Hope to do a walk and post some mail.

Try to get back on later.

Jean,........ stay positive as these Radio Machines are very clever , and do get rid of this dreadful disease. A lot of us have been there with good results its the only way to approach this treatment, Glad they have got you in nice and early.
Jean keep popping in it will help you in all you do, as we are good at keeping everyone sane !!!!

Jean I'm so sorry to hear the test was positive, your doctor's on the ball though, he's got you booked in for treatment really quickly. You'll be having it zapped before it gets the chance to grow. You're in good company on this thread because we have 2 fine examples of cancer beaters in Rita and Marilyn. Both of them living proof it can be beaten.

Linda did you give Sue a good kick up the bum, or did you drag her back by the scruff of the neck?

Rita I missed you before you went but I hope you have a lovely holiday, and I'll keep my fingers crossed that you get some good weather.

Linda you obviously have better weather than us because your BBQ didn't get blown away last night, glad to hear you had a good night.

LOL Mo, you must have the speed of Super Woman if stripping the walls set off all the alarms in the street. Your OH must think very highly of you if he thinks you have the power to do that.
I wouldn't attempt my ceiling, I'd have to stand at the top of massive ladders to reach it. Be careful you don't fall of that stool though.

I've just received a birth cert in the post but it's the wrong person.............again!! I wish my ancestors had picked unusual names.

Elizabeth, I'm not having any problems with the screen wobbling but a few people have been complaining about it.

Before I go any further, Jean I am sorry to hear that the test was positive,but you are a strong lady,and have been battling with this darn disease in your back. Do NOT let it beat you love. We are here for you and you will be in all our prayers.
Stay strong, and if you want to vent your anger at this bl**dy thing,yell away, we wont mind at all.

Rita I am sorry to have missed you,but I hope you know that I wish you an enjoyable holiday. Don't bring any toyboys back with you,unless they are good at decorating and gardening. LOL

Well it was nice to hear from Sue,lets hope she has more time next time she pops in. Don't work to hard matey.

I have finished the bedroom ceiling,thank god. It's surprising you don't realise it needs doing , until you put the first dab of paint on. It didn't take me to long,only two hours.
First thing this morning I did the washing,then I went and got the weekly shopping,got the lunch,then started on the ceiling. Just about to prepare the dinner, golly a womans work is never done.

Right Marilyn and Shelly, who's going to go tonight then. I think it could be Iffy. But will wait and see.

Elizabeth, did you get your computer sorted, or is it sttill playing up. Mine does not seem to be to bad today. But fingers crossed it stays that way.

Sorry I didn't come on earlier, been trying to sort myself out.
started off with 'WHY ME AGAIN' went through the feeling sorry for myself
stage, then what did I do to deserve this, have now reached the I wont let it beat me stage.
I go to Christies on Thursday morning, 9 o'clock, they will make plans for my treatment and I start the radio therapy. have been told I will have to go every morning Mon/Fri, [rest Sat/Sun] for 5/7 weeks.
Thank you so much for all your messages, they have helped a lot, it is nice to know that people care.
