Its dull & grey here ....oh where did our summer go ?

I'm off to my sisters for dinner later, Oh I do love a cooked meal put in front of me ..LOL

Gosh the only ones here today ......where's everyone ?

Just looking at recipes , got some lovely fish from my next door neighbour this morning , so I'm going to save it & freeze it and do a fish pie on Sat as I have my Dad & the rest all coming for dinner.
So now got to think of a pudding !!

When Shelly goes up her tree she does seem to want me up there with her ..LOL..... see she gets lonely on her own ...ahhhhh.

Now I got to concentrate on my daughter in laws tree , but I cant go any further because of a non registered man. ...Impossible !!

So off out now..... back later.

Fish pie sounds great what time is dinner on Saturday?

I made a marmalade bread and butter pudding for family a few weeks ago. Every time I make it it is a sucess. Good old Delia, I think it is in her Winter Recipes, but I found it on-line. So now have printed it off. Serve with custard, ice cream or lf creme fraish.

PS knitted the band for the cardigan this morning before going outside.......... to tackle the jungle 3 littles going past said this as hubby and I were cutting down some bamboo that has taken over the side garden !!!!

Thats sounds great ,I have just gone to look for my Delia's book and someone has borrowed it ......and not bought it back !!

So I'll look on the internet for it and see what I think !!

No news today yet from Rita, I do hope she is o.k. If you do look in Rita, just to let you know I am thinking of you love, and hoping that you are feeling a little better today.

Jean I hope today was not to hard on you, and that you are now getting some well deserved rest.
Try not to over tire yourself. You do such a good job with your celebration thread,well done to you. We all do appreciate what you do for us.

I wonder if Shelly and the family have gone out for the day. They have got lovely weather if they have gone out.

I have got up been up for an hour but I am going back to bed shortly I still have bad sweats and need to lay down I sleep a lot. The district nurse was due to come in to do my blood test but she did not turn up unless she came and I was a sleep. ?
I got my next scan on 23rd. The dotor said I need it done as soon as possible.

Evening everyone

Fish pie sounds nice, I've not had that in ages, not keen on bread and butter pudding. I made a summer pudding last weekend, first time I've made it myself, turned out ok, son and his friend had 2nd helpings.

I've got a bit stuck with my mum's side of the family, was looking for the birth of a William Wilson and found 6 of them born in the same year and in the same area, I don't really want to send off for 6 certs.

I have Wilson's in my husbands family. William was born 1812 in Bakewell and went to India. Any connection maybe?

Just back from our friends. A nice evening showing off the wedding photos they were guests too. Both their daughters were there. And their grand daughter now 9 mths. But they had to leave early as Mum was on duty tonight as a paramedic. Both husband and wife are paramedics and share the childcare so when one is working the other is at home................ I guess they don't see much of each other.

Glad to see Rita hope you are feeling better in the morning, if not please get back to your Dr.

Mo the B&B pud is rather morish. !!!

I'm here Shelly, just woke up, fell asleep watching telly.

I like the sound of that bread & butter pudding Linda, might try it, trouble is - I'm the only one with a sweet tooth in here and I end up eating all puddings myself.

G&T doesn't do that to me Marilyn, must be the little bit of lime that I put in it.

It doesn't work Elizabeth, I gave up on it.

An ant just crawled across my screen, that's the first one I've seen in the house, does anyone else have problems with ants?

I don't have a problem with that one any more, just squished it!
