Hi Pauline
Yes I will probably go again. I have been a couple of times now. The lady I went with had never been before, and she loved it.

I have actually been to 3 different spa's. The Berystede, where I went yesterday is possibly the favourite and closest. If you can get an ofer it's not too bad either.

It's nice just to be able to do nothing. We read chatted and had a lovely lunch as well as in the pool, sauna and outdoor hot tub/jaccuzzi. Then the massage and manicure too.

Hi Yvonne, my hubby is 6' 2" as well but he doesn't look as tall as your hubby does on that photo. I think yours must have grown a lot since he was last measured............lol

Linda with all the rushing around you do, it's probably the only time you get to relax. If it makes you feel good - then it's worth it.

Rita must still be in her wardrobe.

Where's Shelly ????

.She didn't ask me for a day off .

Oh well as I was stuck up my tree AGAIN , nothing she could have done.LOL

I have just come in from Food Shops, I'm sick of cooking in this horrible weather it makes me want to cook casseroles instead of lovely Salads .

Back in a mo ...someone at my door ...Hmmm could be Stephen !! LOL

Ooooh I missed you all again.
Thank you Pauline for sending Yvonne's photo on to me. Like the others have all said Yvonne, your OH is a tall one. But next to all the tall buildings over there, he did not look out of place.
I am used to being the short one in our family, my grandson is 6ft 4, at just 16, when I stand next to him, I feel like a midget. I fit under his armpit.

Good oh, our Rita is back to sounding fighting fit. You sort those door numbers out Rita, if anyone can do it, you can.
Hasn't your estate manager said when she is due back. With any luck she may stay there, she will not be a loss to you all.

Marilyn, I must admit, that I have been really dissappointed(sp) with BB this year. I watch it, but nothing is happening, and it's beggining to bore me. But you know what it's like you keep watching just in case. lol

Linda, next time you have a spa day, can you book us all in with you. I feel like I need a good rub down with the sporting life.

I hope you got on alright today Jean. Is it now two weeks since you started the treatment, or three. Forgive me, but the weeks all seem to roll into one.

We have had more downpours of rain today. I'm really cheesed orft, I did all my washing last night, thinking I would put it out nice and early today, but it has been awful all day. So the clothes horse has come out again.
I'm not allowed to use my tumble dryer, coz it costs to much, sez im indoors.

I notice Stephen did not pop in this morning. Perhaps er indoors has forbidden him to visit us. I do hope not, it's nice to have a visit from the opposite sex sometimes, to keep us on our toes.

Rita Report 10 Aug 2010 17:02

No I came out of my wardrobe ages ago I sorted out 6 white cotton shirts and some t-shirts and two jumpers so I will take them to the charity shop tomorrow. I will then start on the other wardrobe in the back bedroom.

Yes my day is a fighting day. I made my blood tests appointments for next week one for Warfarin and two for steriods . then I suddenly remember I had to ask the nurse something ? so I said the day before these tests are due I have to have my cancer scan and they inject iron into me is that all right ? no you had better phone up the hospital because she was not sure.Anticoagulation deptment and ask them. she said she would keep those appointments but if they said no I had to phone back so I got intouch and after three tries had an answering machine which told me they no longer deal with this and if I need urgent help to go to A & E so I have left it. I have to go to the chemist tomorrow to get my blood pressure repeat so I will ask the chemist herself see what she says.?
The an ambulance arrived parked outside but it went away after ten minutes.
next the gardeners arrived it was pouring of rain. I thought I need to have a lay down the door phone went and some asked to be let in to deleiver a parcel. Great so I got up again.
I wonder what next.
what are you Ladies and Gent up too. ?

Morning All,

Nice here today ....at last,

Linda ,I have my sheets in the wash ,so will be well pleased when they are on the line blowing away on this sunny day.

Now how good is Shelly to me ? SOOOOOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOOOD.
What would I do without her ? Dont know........She has created the tree that I'm doing. all because I'm stuck up there !!

Funny thing I have Ancestry but I have only Me & Pete & my Mum & Dad on
my tree , I find it difficult to do. too many boxes & Questions!! LOL
But My Genes one is thriving.... to me much easier to do than an Ancestry one.
But Shelly is a whiz kid on it ..........clever cloggs ..LOL

But I'm having a break from it today.....

My neighbour is going back to Aussie tomorrow with his family they have been here 7yrs so moving on.....a marriage split !! Sad I know.
So we are going to say our goodbye's today.

Morning all.

It's raining here, just had a downpour.

I've got my son at home today, he's hurt his neck (God knows how) and he's in pain.

Marilyn I think Ancestry is easy - they practically do all the work for you. You could put your tree from here onto there by using a gedcom.

Rita, when you see Sue, you should grab her and tell her off for being AWOL.

Linda do you want to bring all your stuff up here and entertain my son, because he's going to be bored just having me all day?

Did everybody have an early night last night? The thread looks like it was lonely.

GRMarilyn

GRMarilyn Report 11 Aug 2010 10:59

Pauline........don't confuse me MORE ....LOL

Wouldn't know what a Gedcom was ...!!!

Now I only know simple tactic's like from left to right...anything else goes over and above my head

If you knew how long it took me to conquer this lappy for my genealogy you would never believe me.
I can be a good detective though in research...BIG HEAD ..LOL
Although I'm clever with my hands in crafts, hair dressing, and designing drapes etc etc. I'm NO good at knobs or anything that is mechanical.

Thats why I have plain Micro & Washing machine.

All in All I'm THICK .....LOL

Now how do you think Brent got that poorly neck ? Thats nasty ,have you got some Deep Heat Treatment Pauline ? maybe he slept awkwardly during the night.

I'm off .....back later...

Rita

Rita Report 11 Aug 2010 11:52

well Marilyn I can tell you I am thicker than you really takes me ages to do anything new on the computer. once I get the heng of it I am Ok but it takes a while.

I have been to the shops the chemist told me the bood tests would be affected by the idone injections which I have with my scan thats the warfarin as it is very s enstive but the Steriods one is Ok so I left it as that I will go on the day and have them done and explain about the Warfarin one.
life is never easy is it ?

I am busy preparing a salad for my lunch today..I did not feel like eating meat so I have done two boiled eggs to have with it.

I took my trolly loaded with items fom my wardrobe to the charity shop this morning we had a job getting it out of the shopping trolley it was packed tight but my wardrobe is lovely now I can move things along the racks..

Pauline $(*-*)$

Pauline $(*-*)$ Report 11 Aug 2010 11:56

Marilyn, the gedcom is easy, it's just download from here and upload to there. Your whole tree would be on there for you.

My micro does all kinds of things but I only use one setting all the time, never even used the grill on it. Same with the DVD recorder, it came with a thick instruction book but I only read the bit about recording to the hard drive. When the hard drive gets full I'll have to read how to move things onto discs. I only read it when I need to know it!

Don't know what he's done to his neck, it happened yesterday afternoon, one minute he was showing his care worker how to do a puzzle - the next minute he was shouting out in pain. I was only a few feet away from him but I had my back to him. Maybe he just turned his head quickly and trapped a nerve or muscle or something.

Pauline $(*-*)$ Report 11 Aug 2010 11:58

Oh Rita, I could do with you sorting out my wardrobe, I take things out and then put them back again.

I think you do great on your computer, a lot of people your age wouldn't know how to turn it on.

GRMarilyn

GRMarilyn Report 11 Aug 2010 13:32

Pauline,

I hope he's not in too much pain as I trapped a nerve in my shoulder 2yrs ago just moving some clothes into the dryer in the garage ,and I ended up having to stay in bed for a week ! Then every day at the practitioner having acupuncture every day........ The pain was terrible, I missed a wedding because of it !!
The dam clothes I did cursed them,no end ...LOL

I'm about to go out now,I need a walk somewhere its still lovely and sunny.

Just put another load of washing on the line as I may have visitors the weekend, so I have freshened up my spare room sheets.

Hello everyone, hope you have had a good day, sounds as though you have all been very busy.
Pauline, am sorry your son is in pain, hope he is soon feeling better.
Mo, am nearly at the end of my third week, it has gone quite fast. only another 4 weeks. [I hope]
Am just trying to decide what to have for my tea, although at the moment am not really hungry.
Wishing you all a peaceful evening.
Take care.

Mo in Kent Report 11 Aug 2010 18:22

Nearly half way then Jean, I bet you will be glad when it's over and done with. And god willing, it will be good news.
What did you decide to have for your tea. We had spaghetti bolognese, and at the moment I am so full up, I feel like I would burst if someone stuck a pin in me. Not a nice feeling, but it serves me right for making such a pig of myself.

Rita, I had to chuckle, I had visions of you as a bag lady, taking all those clothes to the charity shop. There must have been loads of them, if you could not get them out of the trolley very easily.
You made my mouth water talking about the lemonade and ice cream.
I used to love doing that with coke. And as kids we called it a coke float, it was my dads treat to us.

Linda, are you stuck to the table after all the glueing, and painting. I bet little one enjoyed herslf.
Did it stay dry enough to go and feed the ducks.

Pauline, we will have to get in the queue, for Rita to come and clear our wardrobes out.
I bet between the lot of us, we could have held our own jumble sale. lol
I hope that B's neck is feeling easier now. It's so easy to put your neck out without realising it. Poor B I feel for him, extra cuddles I think don't you.

Marilyn, how sad about your neighbours. Had they been married very long.
You will miss them. Does that mean you will have new neighbours soon.

Wheres our Shelly got to today, she's not still up your tree is she Maz.
