I don't believe in Vampires but I do keep a Cross and a big wooden stake below my bed....just in case I'm wrong.

Stephen2009 Report 4 Oct 2010 20:54

Sometimes after doing deep dives I would finish up with 'bite' marks all over my body where my suit had nipped me.

My wife knew what they were but I didn't half get weird looks if I went swimming.

Shelly just been on your Graves thread.

Good on you girl, it looks very interesting. I will need a few hours to go through the pages. MOST of my family are buried at the St Pancras and Islington Cemetery in Finchley. So will have a shufty on those posts when I have a bit more time to look at them properly.

I tend to go a bit boss-eyed this time of night.

Good morning Team GR

Early morning Swimming Race for the relay team.

Shelly, Bobby, Yvonne and Stephen

Shelly takes the block....
.'Take your marks'
Shelly shakes her limbs, bends from the waist, looks down the pool to where Bobby waits for the change over.

'Bang' the starters pistol goes.

Shelly launches herself off......my god....she covers about 10 metres before she hits the water. Her legs pound the water like turbines and her arms pull her like some invisible
force is behind them.

She's ahead of the pack by at least 5 metres when she touches the wall.

Bobby leaps like a Tiger, flying through the air, long and lean, this powerful swimmer hits the water and is in full throttle after only four strokes. What a marvel to see.
He inreases Team GRs lead to 10 metres as he hits the wall. No wonder he was the Worlds fastest at one time.

Yvonne goes for it. Effortless ease pulls her down the pool.
Who would ever think that this lass could cut the water with hardly a ripple. Legs and arms in perfect harmony she leads the opposition by 15 metres as she touches base.

Stephen,.....my god....he falls from the starting block... hits the water with a mighty splash......surfaces coughing and spluttering....looks distressed that he has mucked things up.

He draws a deep breath.....breaks WIND....and accelerates like a rocket down the pool....overtaking his opponents in no time at all.

A constant stream of hot air follows him down the length of the pool.

Spectators are on their feet cheering like mad...just before they keel over as some invisible gas hits them.

He hits the wall....hard...he has beaten them all by 5 metres...what a spectacular come back.

Strange no one is running over to hug and congratulate him.

A 10 metre exculsion zone has been quickly set up around the pool until they investigate the cause of the Gas.

TEAM GR TAKE>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>GOLD

Morning all.

Did you not hear me screaming you on in the Swimming.

I am nearly hoarse now.

I think it is the skipping later on, just limbering up.

Cut down a piece of rope from one of the flag-poles, hope it isnt important. It was to the right of centre, so presumably that is the Bronze flag-pole.

We only go for GOLD so it wont affect us.

'tiptoes away with rope, and starts skipping'

OH says the dog is sitting on the top step and refusing to put her foot outside. Funny how she will go to the Heath and swim in the Ponds, but will not go out in the rain. Will have to get her a little rain mac. lol

Skipped and skipped like crazy. Must be in tip-top condition by now. Float like a butterfly and sting like a bee.

sees ya all later.

Rita Report 5 Oct 2010 12:06

Linda and Maddie it rained very heavy this morning I wondered if I should take my brolly. I did and the sun came out still is out.
I had my blood test done and the nurse told me she would have to do two files as the new files are vacumed and the blood should go to the top but it stops short and when she sent some to the hospital they returned the letters that go with them. and she had to do then again so she is doing two lots now
while there I asked about my flu vaccine when would they start doing them ? I was told I will do your now Rita. Before she did them she said I better tell you they are two in one this year and I have no idea why they are doing this.way.?
one is the flu vaccine and the Swine flu vaccine all in one.
so I refused it I said sorry I dont want the swine flu one.so she had to mark it on my records I refused on the grounds I didnt want the swine flu one.
so if you dont want this one you should ask if they are two in one.
I have put a thread out to tell people.

Hi Rita,

I'm going for my Flu jab this afternoon.......flew home especially for it !

Now I think whats happened is the last Government ordered so much stock of swine flu, that they have to get rid of it......I myself am not in favour of the swine jab ,but if its two in one ......not a lot one can do about it.

I'll let yo know Rita, later ...

Hows we all doing ? Pauline looks like she in charge of the score ...LOL

While I'm home I have polished all my furnisher and now quite knackered ,
so not a lot of energy left for any races today , but I have got 3 medals or maybe 4 ??????? cant be bad.

Maddie's is tip top condition......wish it was me ...LOL

Rita,

It was Swine & Flu Jab, doctor said it is what we have been given to everyone.

But that it was in my interest as Swine Flu could well be upon us this winter.

I never argued I just accepted it .........happily !!

Now back to my training........

Hi everyone.

I had to fly home today as well, needed to get shopping in for hubby and son...........don't think they know where the shops are.

But I rushed over and did the trampoline event before I left this morning. I was in a bit of a hurry to get it done so I could catch my plane. But considering my somersaults and twists routine had a DD of 15.50 (and the world record for women is only 15.30) they had no choice but to give me gold.

I'll update the medal list later, I think there's quite a few to add on from yesterday. Has anybody won any today while I've been away?
