Morning All,

I am injured ......did my back in yesterday ......polishing my table & chairs !!

I came home for my flu jab and couldn't help but see DUST !!!

So I'm popping in now & again when pain allows.........

Well done Stephen , glad you are sayings your prayers , don't forget one for me ..LOL

Its lovely and sunny here today .......brightened my day a bit, suppose to have friends tonight for dinner ,might have to put them off if I cant bare this pain.

My sister always checks out our weather on the internet so we know what to pack when we go away. we have not got caught out yet.
so we have been lucky.

Marilyn sorry to hear you have a bad back how on earth did you manage that ? testing springs on the bed.?
The trouble is when you have pains in your back it effects the way you walk. the way you sit if you stretch to reach for something that hurts.
best take a couple of paracetmal and have a lay down.

I woke to heavy rain and a black sky it made me want to stay in bed I felt right down in the dumps. so I did a little hand wash sorted out my dinner and then had a cup of coffee .by then the sun had come out the sky is now blue. I have been on the threads so I feel better now than when I first got up.
I dont know how they got the commonwealth games in India they have had one disarster after another I dont know how they afforded it anyway when the country has people starving perhaps they hope they would attrack people to the games but it appears people have not bothered and many of the seats are empty. shame really

I'm surviving ......just able to get some lunch, and more paracetamol's.

Rita I was polishing under my dinning table, as the legs has huge fat ornamental legs, and while I was down there I polished all my oak chairs, but obviously over done it ..........a bit !!!!!!!!! my back that is...LOL

Linda where about are you going in Devon ..??? Of course its going to be nice as I have ordered it for you. if your near me I can do lovely cream teas so no excuse for nor paying me a visit .........

Though I would give you all a little smile a friend phoned me today she is having work done on her house. she wanted a carpenter.to do some work. she could not get an English one she was told by another friend of a polish guy who was an excellent Carpentrer. so she got him to come and give her an estimate for the job. she found he did not speak one word of English but she employed him because of his work. she is pleased with his work that he has done so far the only thing is she is having trouble speaking to him to tell him what she wants doing so she draws pictures now. she said she tried speaking to him in German . (she lived out there years so speaks German)but he didnt understand that so she is back to drawing.

Hi all, I've been out most of the day and then had company when I got home. Got to go out tomorrow as well - so won't be able to do my hula hoop event until Friday. I think Mo is busy working her way through the heats to get to the final on Friday. I'll just be going straight into the final because I slipped the judges a tenner each...........a tenner goes a long way over there.

Shelly, what did you get your medals for? I need to know so I can add them to the list.

Marilyn, how could someone as fit as you hurt herself just by bending down polishing? I hope you used polish this time instead of fly spray.

Baton Twirling.

Who is this young girl, with the pigtails and the red leotard. Very light on her feet. Small but beautifully formed. Stands to attention, waiting for the bleep and the music to start. The Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy. Very Ambitious.

And begin. Very dainty and light on her feet, toes pointed. Beautiful arching of the back. And a gentle flick of the wrist, and the ribbon flies through the air in an arch. Tumbling and twisting. How can one so young be so impressive. And finish.

The crowd rise to their feet. This girl was taught by Olga Korbut, so quality shows. Crowd screaming and shouting for more, your Miss M walks off the auditorium.

So people, wack another one next to my name.

Who nicked my hammer?

Searched every where for it...found it with one of the locals,
knocking blazes out off the running track.

Right lets get down to work......checked the hammer over...looks fine to me.

Stephen enters the throwing circle.....got to get this right...there have been some good throws so far.

Here we go......Hammer out straight....begins the swing....round and round.....once , twice , three times ,
off it goes....straight as an arrow.....height and trajectory spot on......what a distance......the judges scatter.....it's a lot further than they expected.

CRUMP ! The Hammer hits the ground. No bounce. The ball is buried half way up it's length.

Waitng in anticipation for the final measurement.

175metres 37cms.......It's a winner. No ones going to match that.

Another GOLD for Team GR.

Methinks everyone must be training or they are just exhausted from all the stress of competition.

Just lying here in my bedroom watching Midsomer Murders. Love that prog. I can sit and look at the tv and not think about it. Ideal Sunday night tv. No thought required.

No curry for me tonight, I had pasta. Loads of carbohydrates, good for the stamina.

Another busy day tomorrow.

Another day in Paradise.

what with the heat and the flies and the bad conditions, I will be glad to get home. Trust the jet WILL be taking us back.

Orft to do a bit of exercise now. Must say the heat is making my legs cramp a bit more than usual. 'hobbles off'
