Hi Marilyn, are you going somewhere nice tonight?
Rita, I've only just seen your memory, sorry I'm late in adding to it. Like Mo said - I hope your family have been in touch with you today to help keep your spirits up.
Hope Jean's not feeling too ill today.

Good evening Ladies, and gent.
Hope everyone is well. Only been in from work since 6pm. There is quite bad illness at work, tummy upsets, cold, flu, you name it, it is doing the rounds. I have been asked to work AGAIN on Sunday. Will go in, then I have leverage when I want a bit of time orft.
I shall be opening a bottle of plonk soon, and sitting staring at the tv. Already in the my dressing gown. lol
How do I cope with this social whirl.
SO, what is to be our next rollicking adventure.

Hi Maddie, don't forget it's halloween soon. We shall have to have a fright night,or something like that. Perhaps we could go trick or treating up at Buckingham Palace,do you think they would allow it. LOL

Morning all.
Thanks for the cuppa Stephen, what were you doing creeping around in the middle of the night? Luckily you didn't wake any of us, we need our beauty sleep........unfortunately mine didn't work, maybe I should have slept longer.
Don't work too hard at your niece's house, you need to look good for Monday.
Where are the rest of you? Come on, get up!!

If you dont hear from me on here it is because my computer is playing up or the site GR. becuase yesterday it crashed. this morning it has made my messages vanish. First thank you Pauline for your kind words of my Husbands memory thread. Maddie there are lots of people with a virus around here, in London three of my grandchildren have gone down with it. In surrey two of my Grandchildren have it. so it iscirculating.. Stephen I am pleased you enjoyed the visit to the Galliery. I like Lowry myself. I never get tired of looking at his paintings. I dont like Dutch Artists as there work always seem to dark. The Queen likes them as Buckingham Palace has lots of painting of Dutch arrtist hanging on her walls. Marilyn I am pleased things seem to be better for you. Mo it is time to get those sweeties out ready for the children who knock on the door asking trick or treat. ? I wonder if Shelly will do her rounds.

Morning All. Hope you are all well.
I am not going to sons' after all. I am off to Fonthill Road. It is the centre of the London Rag Trade. There is a large Cypriot community there, all of whom work in the dress factories. The works are upstairs, and the shops on street level. Beautiful dresses at really cheap prices. Do need to wear something nice to meet the Queen on Monday. I may even look for a nice pair of silver shoes, tiny clutch bag, and maybe a tararara. Yes I know it is tiara, but its what we call it at home.
There is a Pound shop near us, there have HIDEOUS masks, so may buy a couple for us to answer the door in when the little pests come aknocking at Halloween.
If that dont frighten the life out of the little beggers, nothing will. lol
Sees ya all later. x 'disappears in a cloud of perfume'

Maddie dont buy anything too light or anything with heels to visit the Queen otherwise you will find youself come under Health and Safety Lol
It is not all plush red carperts the carpert are well worn. and the throne room well forget it.?
I have visited places when I have been on holiday much better than our Buckingham Palce.
you could use the hide away lifts the Queen and Royal family use instead of the stairs ? they seem to have one in each room.
I must remember to tell Marilyn as she likes high heels.. to use the lfits instead. Rita

Hello everyone, hope you have all recovered from the games, and have been able to have some relaxing time. Rita, I do hope yesterday wasn't too sad for you. I dont feel too bad today, maybe my body is getting used to the treatments now. have tried to turn my mattress over on my bed, but it is too heavy for me, so will wait for my daughter to arrive, she will help me. I used to do it with no problems........... the joys of getting old I suppose. LOL. Hope you all have a good weekend. Take care. Jean xx

Glad to see some folks are keeping this thread going.
Good productive day. Early start tomorrow again.
Will need to make sure I get the paint off my hands and nails for Monday.
HM the Queen accidently bumped into me when I was in St. James's Palace.....she very quickly apologised.....I was gob smacked. Ever since then I think to myself.... If Her Majesty has the courtesy to say 'sorry' to me then why are so many people so rude and never offer an apology when they are at fault.
Rita and Jean, you may be getting a wee bit older and perhaps not as strong as you were but what you give to us on this thread more than compensates for that.' More power to your elbows' as they say.
Soon be time for tea...I'm feeling peckish.
Catch you later.....Bye.

Evening all.
Pleased we all had a good day.
I hate matress turning. I usually end up with the mattress on top of me. I try and do it from top to bottom, then turn it over. It gets very confusing.
Got my dress, decided against a long one, just something very understated. Kitten heels, but still a clutch bag. I will need something to put my gong in when we see Her Maj. Fancy Stephen bumping into her already. I can see him trying to curry favour [see what I did there, a little joke] with our Liz. Had my nails done, will have my hair done on Monday morning early. Tracey my hairdresser has said she would open up extra early for me. So Bob's your mothers brother.
Dont think I will be doing much tonight, as I said, work tomorrow.
Soon be dinnertime. Trout, gotta have my protein to keep me going.
Busy, busy, busy....................................
Try to get on again a bit later. x

I had to laugh at Jean and Rita,re the mattress turning. The last time I turned ours, I ended up laying between the mattress and the bed, Roly had to come and rescue me,as I was nearly p-ing myself with laughter, I just could not get out. I looked a bit like a Mo sandwich, thats me squashed between two slices of bread.
I don't know where everyone else has got to, Paulines not been on since this morning at 09.08. No Marilyn or Shelly or Yvonne either.
It's good to hear that you are managing to cope with the treatment Jean. It is still hard going though isn't it love.
Rita you were in my thoughts yesterday, and I was willing you to be strong.
Stephen, your face is now on crime watch, the queen's security clocked you talking to her,and they are now on red alert looking out for you. You had better go in disguise on Monday.
Maddie what colour dress did you end up with. The silver kitten heeled shoes will go with whatever colour you chose. Did you buy a hat to go with the outfit. And not buying a long dress was a good idea, you don't want to catch your heel in it,and end up on your BTM.

Wishing both Jean and Rita well.
Mo, I bought a pale green ensemble. Green to match my eyes. I bought a dress and coat. Wild slub silk. I decided against a proper hat, and bought a 'fascinator' instead. Delicate little feathers on a band. I shall scuff the bottom of the shoes on the back step tomorrow, I dont want to go slipping on the carpet now, do I.
Can I suggest that Stephen goes to Buck House as the Invisible Man. I can arrange for the St Johns Ambulance to bandage him up. lol
Back later.

Mo It is not funny when you have no one to ask to turn your mattress. over. I. am sleeping on Bumps at the moment .and my rear end has wrinkles over it it now matches my face and neck. the difference being I cannot put cream on the mattress to get rid of the wrinkles. like I can on my face and neck. I had thought about pulling the fire cord perhaps I will get a couple of Fireman here to do it for me(, turn the Mattress I am speaking of.) They go on strike soon so I had better make my mind up.
I think that Maddie is trying to outdo us with her clothes for the Place. I dont think I will buy any new clothes I will look through my wardrobe if not I will try one of the good charity shops.. you never no. I might buy one of the royal families dress they have given to charity..
I an not wearing a hat I thought I would put my crown on instead.
