Mo in Kent Report 2 Dec 2010 18:49

Hi Pat.
I am lucky, I have done all my christmas shopping.
All I have got to get in the way of food, is the fruit and veg. Mind you judging by this weather, I'm glad it's done already.
We have to go out tommorrow to buy some more grub,as we are starting to run out. But we will be walking, the car can stay where it is. Just hope we don't fall over,as it's meant to be going to freeze here in Kent overnight.
See you later. Mo

Well, that's thrown 2018 plans into confusion.

Just trying to think of something else England could host. Ideas welcome.

Mommy Christmas the super markets have had a run of people stocking up and they have left lots of young families with out milk and bread.. why do people do this.? it is like the war when there was talk about that everyone who HAD MONEY stocked up brought up all the sugar and tinned hams and foods. it is a case of blow you Jack Im alright.

Marilyn yes I saw that last email. I tried looking for him a broad I tried some of the news papers in Devon I must have another llok sometime. incase he was in that an accident or shipped abroad. the thing is no one is alive that can give me any answers to where he went. ? Thank you so much for trying for me I do appreciate that.

Pauline the closure of the station did not appear on the TV again people phone in or email and they run things on the Tv in little snips that was how I heard that.

This should give everyone a laugh. at the back of my flat is a private car park for visitors to my court.(.we have a court one for the residents)
I was siting on the end of my bed, looking at the snow coming down. when a car pulled up one man went to the next road which leads off ours. and another got out of the car and peed on the flowers that you could see above the snow.. I was going to bang on the window to let him know I was there, but thought better not. you would have thought he would have walked two houses a long and use the toilet of his house.
If it had been dry out I would have written a large note and stuck it on his car.

Rita.

I think what did it was the Media and the BBC they never think to wait till results of the voting was announced they could have had a field day then. they have to open their mouths They will never learn.

Not that I care where it is held but ti is annoying for others.

Hi ya Maz, not daisies, they would be roses where you are concerned.
We would lose if we offered to run a P*ss up in a brewery these days.

Dermot.....What about England hosting a Genes Reunited World Convention.

Pat...nice to see you popping in and out. I like Exeter City. Would sometimes drop in there on my way to or from the South Coast. What a lot of History and some really lovely buildings.

Maddie.....Neil likes a good Malt Whisky. He must be needing his throat lubricated by now. LOL..

Not much snow today....great.....but at this early hour we are already at
-7C.

Pauline. Powder Snow tends to happen when the temperature is fairly low.

Nice driving today.....no nutters about......roads in reasonable condition.

The hills are looking fantastic with their white coat on.

Mo......did everything work out ok with your son and his car ?

Marilyn heading home for a short break. The life of the rich eh !

Mrs Stephen is so disappointed that we are not heading off for our Spa break. I'll just need to stick her in a hot bath and call on 'Fluffy Paws' to help out. Pour her a glass of bubbly, light the candles, aromatic of course,
and she will think she's in Heaven. ROFL.

Hello everyone, hope you are all keeping warm and taking care if you go out.
Sorry not been on for a few days, been a bit of a misery so kept out of the way, except to put birthday thread on again as the original one went missing.
Well, last treatments tomorrow, scans and blood test results on Monday morning, then I will either be celebrating or drowning my sorrows.
We have lots of snow, and icy roads, [our council dont grit the side roads]
but my 9 month old Grandaughter was wide eyed when she saw it for the first time, then she wanted to be put down so she could touch it.

Am going to make a cup of tea now and watch some TV, then have an early night.

Good night, God bless to everyone. Take care.
Jean xx

Stephen2009 Report 2 Dec 2010 20:57

Dame Shelly...........Your radiators that are on outside walls......if you line the wall behind them with cooking foil ( turkey foil is strongest) this will reflect the heat back into the room. Does not need to be perfect. Just use drawing pins along the top and bottom of the foil.
B&Q or some other shop like that do reflective panel for behind radiators.
Not too expensive.

Make sure the heat from your radiators is not going up behind your curtains. If the curtains are long tuck them behind the radiator. If the curtains are short tuck them on to the window cill.

Glad your wee one is doing fine.

Have you managed to contact the Council Energy Advisor yet ?

Marilyn,
If you get stuck in New York let me know. I have an Irish friend that owns a great pub there. You're sure of a good welcome and good food.
He had a brother that was a Monk..........he was a great guy too.
His sister lives in a wee village about three miles from me.

Did Bobby McGregor give you a good Rub Down ?
