Hi Stephen, just read back a few pages, now I know what we are celebrating, this thread is 4 years old, that must be a record for threads on GR.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY everyone. [wonder if we would get any response if I put a birthday thread up]
I love to watch Ballet, specially children dancing.
The foals are full of life, and as you say, all legs, and good appitites.
I have another one due this weekend, although when I checked the mare this morning I think it could arrive today.
Dad bought me my first pony at 2, he entered me in my my first show at 3, and it went on from there, have always had horses in my life.
Oh I remember I'll Cry if I want to, you are giving your age away.

Well, back to work, all the mucking out and feeds are done, just need to make sure they are all ok and have fresh water.

Will look in later to see if there is a party going on.

Oh Jean the joy of another foal coming into the world. I do hope it does not snow I wonder what this next one will be ? how many horse have you got now. ?

Stephen have you been on the tiddly like our Dermot ? it is a bit early in the day for that. ? Stephen has her indoor got nothing for you todo ? I can find some jobs if you come here. ?

I dont beleive how quickly 12 oclock has come around .? I must have gotten up later than I thought? but I have done a big wash and it is all dry

my sister phoned and was saying her son (my Nephew ) who had flown to Italy to see his Aunty for a couple of days is due into Sanstead airport this afternoon at 2,30 and she read that we are excpecting more snow today (lovely ) he fly's home on Thursday back to Washington DC and they have heavy snow. so she might have him here for a few more day's it looks as if we start from square one more snow.remember that thick white fluffly stuff.we still have some left here from the last lot as well as ice.

so I think I had better invest in a pair of ski's I dont think my old rollers skates will do any good.

Stephen2009 Report 27 Dec 2010 12:33

FOR THE MORE SENIOR OF THE THREAD

ie. Marilyn, Pauline, Maddie, Shelly, Patricia. et all.

Elderly couple sitting on the settee watching TV.

She was being amorous and nostalgic......

'You used to hold my hand when we did this' she said.

He reached over and held her hand.

'You used to kiss me' she said.

He leaned over and pecked her on the cheek.

'You used to bite my neck' she said hopefully.

He rose from the settee.

'Where are you going ?' Said she.

'Gonna get my teeth' says he.

Afternoon All. Hope everyone is well and warm.

Clean girl here. I have left the pit. Changed all the bedlinen. Bathed and washed me dirty hair. And I feel SO much better for it.

Just need to add a bit of sooty and a bit of lippy and I am good to go.

Not back to work until Wednesday, so should be all OK for then.

Rita, hope you are feeling better too.

Our snow and ice is defrosting, so hopefully we shall see it go altogether soon.

Stephen, you looked the wrong way for a moment, to be caught unawares with the new snow.

Kevin has gone on an errand of mercy, so we will eat when he gets back.

There is a big lime tree in the garden, and there was a Jay sitting in it. Such a beautiful bird. So big. Such a vibrant blue and brown plumage. We get a lot of crows, pigeons, small finches, but not normally Jays.

Alas, all the sparrows seem to have disappeared from this side of London, so the only Cockney Sparrar left is me.

Two old men, Stephen and Dermot, were sitting on a park bench.

Stephen said, ' Don't know about you Dermot, but I'm full of aches and pains'

'Oh,exclaimed Dermot, . I feel like a knew born baby.'

Really ! says Stephen

'Yes, replied Dermot. no teeth, no hair, and I think I've just wet myself''.

No Stephen I have never been I have been as far at Aberdeen I did not start my family history until 2003 , and had no idea where the grandparents came from. ?I knew Mums side was from Scotland my Gran never let us forget that. . I manage to put things together by thinking back what Gran had said then, I managed to get hold of a Christening notice dated 24/2/1810 "headed McCallum Duncan births "(My father use to tell me Mums family were McCallum spelt with the A.
the list said " This space is approiated to Mr James McCallum Farmer of (looks like ) Auchnauld.then the names listed were Peter. Duncan James Jean and jessie it also mention The Loch."
I found one of the sons family then moved around Fortingall. Dull, Ween and spread out here to form a square east of the lake as far as Crieff Amulee and Dunkeld this was in the 1750's then Monizie Kenmore and one owned a farm named Bogelin Farm.another one was the Ground officer of The Duke of Sutherland. in Caithness.another was a Pipe Major in 2nd battalion of the Scots Guards. so you see they are dotted about I dont know that aera but I did get a wall map showing me the aera. so I wrote a profile called it
My Scottish family McCallum.

Can you describe to me what the aera is like ? I would love to know.

Oh my word, it seems like Stephen has taken his happy pills this morning, all these jokes bantering about. It's good to hear a cheerful voice.
Poor Dermot looks like he's forgotten who he is.

Rita's having a C.R.A.F.T moment, forgetting about the spuds.

We went out to buy a second freezer, and theres nothing but crazy folks like ourselves out and about buying the shops up. It seems that the sales have a funny affect on people, shoving and pushing each other out of the way.

I have managed to find myself a lovely dark purple sparkly top and trousers, to wear for new years eve.
There was only one in my size, and some crafty woman tried to grab it from me, huh..... fat chance of her getting it,once I had got my mitts on it

You would have laughed your heads of, at the sight of myself and Roly trying to get the freezer into the small space it had to go into. I got trapped between the freezer and the cupboard door, and nearly P'd myslef with laughter. Of course im indoors was not amused, but I couldn't stop
laughing, more so at the faces he was pulling than any thing else.

Well cold meat , pickles and chips for dinner tonight. I can't wait to get through all this meat, as I am getting fed up of Turkey + Gammon.

Jeniwren Report 27 Dec 2010 15:46

No one partying yet then, bet you are all resting,
Mo your new outfit sounds lovely, dont you go pulling all the fit men
on New Years eve.
Hope your freezer is working ok.
Rita, hope you managed to rescue the pan even if the potatoes burnt.
Stephen, have you been at the Malt Whisky?

Take care and stay safe.

Mo in Kent Report 27 Dec 2010 15:55

Jean honey, it would seem that everyone has deserted the ship, and it's only me and thee about.
The freezer is coming down to temeperature as we speak. That's the one benefit of being married to an electrician, Roly knows what he's doing, where as if it was up to me, I would not have known what to set the blessed thing on, and it would have probably been frozen solid by the time I wanted to use it.
I am really chuffed with my sparkly top. We have a fiftieth birthday celebrations to go to on the 15th of January, so I can wear it then as well.
It's not to far over the top if you know what I mean, just shows a little cleavage.
Love Mo xxx

I'm here, lol.
Not for long though as its freezing and I'm going back to sit by warm fire in a moment. Just popped into kitchen for a mince pie and coffee.
Bags packed and ready to go on Wednesday, got to clean out animals cages, hutches etc tomorrow in case my girls dont remember.
Maddie glad you are up and about and feeling better.
Stephen you're full of the joys today, or is it the single Malt. Sure you'll have plenty of puddles when it thaws.

An elderly couple were having their first major row after 40 years of married life.

'When we got married you promised to love, honour and obey' says the wife.

'I know' says the hubby 'but I didn't want to start an argument in front of all those people'.
