Good evening All.

Hope you are well and warm.

Susan please give Mum a big hug and wish her better.

Well we are all going down like flies with this bug.

Right, so let me tell you the tale of the old iron pot. I have been unwell since Christmas, so I was started to get a bit worried with all the coughing. I decided to pop into the Doctors this morning to get my chest listened to. Receptionist told me to sit down, and I would be added to the end of the appointments.

WELL. I WAITED TO SEE THE DOCTOR FOR THREE HOURS.

Thankfully I was in and out in 5 minutes, and my chest is clear. Just keep drinking water, get a bit of fresh air, and dont overdo it. Some hopes.

Tonight, was my last late night at work. I am strictly on days now, mid morning to mid afternoon. Overtime if I want it. So thats good.

Temperature going up a bit tomorrow, so that it good. Hope I haven't bored you all to tears. lol

Night night all.

Morning everyone, it's like the TB ward on here with all the coughing and barking. Think I'll keep that cyber hatch shut for a while to make sure the germs don't come this way.

Seriously though, I hope all the invalids are feeling a little better today, it's one very nasty bug that you've all got. Please look after yourselves because it's put a lot of people in hospital.

I hope Jean will be alright, thank you for letting us know about it Susan, it's very good of you. We all worry about Jean and send her our thoughts and prayers. Poor soul's just started to get back on her feet after all the cancer treatments she's had. Please give her our love.

My son had his surgery yesterday, a few bits of his gum had to be removed but he's fine now, just a bit of a temperature last night.

Rita, I finally got those photos, they're great, you look like your dad. Megan is such a pretty little girl, she looks so happy, you'd never guess she'd been through so much pain.

Shelly, it's hardly worth sending him back for one day, plus he might end up with a cold if he gets soaked and has to sit all day in wet clothes.

Pat I hope you are well again soon.
Pauline I hope Brent is OK today,is he at the day centre?
As for me still sleeping off and on through the day, mainly cos of disturbed nights, still coughing. Tried Tesco pharmacy for the advertised medicine................ the woman had no idea of what I was asking for. Oh well have to try Boots tomorrow when I get into town. Meanwhile carrying on with Covonia. Have bills to pay too so have to go.
Staying inside today as it is very wet again down here.
Need to tidy around today as friends are coming to dinner.
Tomorrow out for DIL birthday lunch. Sunday so far free, would like to get out for a walk if it is dry and clear as forecast. Monday Little M back, then more friends to dinner in the evening. Daughter's bridesmaid is over from USA visiting her Mum after going to live there when she married in September. Hope she brings some pictures.
Oh well the sky is at least getting lighter now, well it is 11:00am.

have a good day everyone. Hope the poorly ones are getting better, especially Jean.

We don't have the rain Shelly, but everything is covered in frost and ice, it's very cold.
Another couple of days at home will give your son a chance to get his strength back.

Linda, Brent isn't well enough to go to the centre yet, the hospital said he has to stay in for another couple of days because he'll be prone to infection. Maybe you should stay in for another couple of days as well, but if you have to go out get well wrapped up.

Pat, try honey and lemon drinks for your throat.

Oh Pauline, I am so sorry, I forgot Brent was due to go into hospital yesterday. No wonder you wern't on here. I was geting ready to send out the search parties again.
Plenty of soft treats for Brent, like ice creams and jellies, etc.
I think that when my children were small, I was a worst child then all of them put together, I loved Blanchmange(sp) jellies, and trifles. And when we had birthday parties, I made sure I saved myself a bowl full of what ever was going.

Linda, dont worry about the tidying around, before your friends arrive, if you are still not feeling on top form.
I always tell my friends, that I am going to visit them, not on a house inspection.
What medicine is being advertised on the t.v. Is it the Covonia night medicine that you are taking, or just the normal Covonia?
There are just so many things that they advise you to take for chesty coughs, but if you are diabetic, there are limitations on what you can take.
I hope you get rid of it soon though love.

LindainBerkshire1736004 Report 7 Jan 2011 14:52

Hi Mo
It is just covonia for chesty cough that I have, it worked OK in the past relieving if not curing.
The one hubby saw iin the paper was Pulmo Bailey. I remeber it from when I was a dispenser for Boots in my youth. Goodness I left them 33years ago. I had worked for them for 9 years so it has been around for a long time.

I haven't been out it's too wet out there but at least it isn't cold enough for snow, which was a threat.

Sending healing wishes for Jean

Now that we have won the Ashes in Australia after such a long time, perhaps this happy event will give our Eurovision entry a bit of encouragement.

Are the cricket lads any good at singing?

Mo in Kent Report 7 Jan 2011 17:24

Linda I have never heard of that medication before, and I finished working in the pharmacy two years ago.
It's the same as Gee's cough linctus, that is very hard to get hold of now as well.

Dermot if our cricketers are as good at singing as our footballers, we wouldn't stand a chance in the Eurovision, not that we do any way.

Hi Stephen, it's the weekend again, so no work tomorrow.

Maddie enjoy your week of, and get yourself well again.

Still no Rita yet.
