Rita Report 7 Jan 2011 17:42

Now you can see why I didnt pop in to see all you all. it was so strange I did this big write up and then it would not go and a noticed pop up to say it could not connect. yet I had 17 emailed this morning two from America no trouble at all.
Linda you are far better to have fresh lemon and honey in hot water it will do you the world of good. I hope you get over this flu quickly.some hang on for days and weeks.,
Mo you can see why you didnt hear from me.
Pauline I hope Brent gets over his operation soon I know he will miss his day centre. give him a hug from me
It isnt cold here I dont have the heating on yet. I did this morning but it went off at 10 and I have not had it on since.
I have been answering emails f rom family. my sister is sorting out a holiday for us for July (that is if when I get my next scan done things will be alright ?) we thought after all the humming and Ariring we would try a coach tour this time on the Isle of Wight, she has never been there I use to go in the late 1940 with a Wembley Football club and Tennis club a whole coach load of us went once there were two coaches.
so if we go by coach we wont have all the lugging of our cases,.
see you soon

Dermot Report 7 Jan 2011 17:47

That was a surprising bit of news this evening - an MP being jailed for forgery.

Hard to imagine what would have happened to him if he did something really bad - like start a war resulting in loss of lives on all sides.

Vote for insanity.

Hmm, we've had insanity in this country for a long time now.

We got snow today, it's stopped now but it's still freezing.

I've been in all day and I haven't started the dinner yet, been messing about with a photo of our Rita when she was a school girl, I'll send it on later............I'm needed at the moment.

Patricia,

An empty thread usually means there's something on the telly.

Hope you're feeling better.

Or we are cooking dinner Stephen, that causes a mass exodus from the thread. I know we women can multi-task but we are not that clever. lol

Pat get back into that bed and keep warm.

I wonder how Maddie is feeling today.

Stephen2009 Report 7 Jan 2011 19:23

To brighten your night........

A woman went to the Police to report her husband missing.

'He's 51 years old, six feet three inches tall, dark eyes, dark hair, athletic build, weighs 11st 7lbs, smartly dressed and softly spoken' she said.

Her friend protested....' He's 67 years old, five feet two inches, bald, overweight and a loud mouth scruff'.

'I know that' said the wife 'but who wants HIM back?'

Rita Report 7 Jan 2011 20:05

Pat I hope your be feeling better by tomorrow I know how you must be feeling I was ill for THREE weks and the doctor came in twice to see me. he said plenty of fluids and tea was on the top of the list.

Stephen thanks for the funny we need cheering up on here every now and again.
Pauline did you guess that shirt was blue ? I didnt think it showed on the photo I only noticed the buttons and realised it was St Mary Uniform not The Girls school I went to.

I see that they are going to close the baby swap on East Enders quickly as the BBC have been getting so many calls about it, it was suppose to drag out, but everyone had had a go at them.

Evening All.

Hope you are all warm and well, and the poorly sick are getting better.

Finished work for a week. Hurrah.

Gonna get myself fighting fit, and then go shopping and spend me Birthday/Christmas money.

Its burning a hole in my pocket.

Hope Jean is recovering, has anyone heard from her daughter.

Liked the Senility Poem Stephen, I seem to be having more and more senior moments.

Just as long as I have the common to put on me drawers, lippy and mascara in the morning. I am good to go. Perm any two from three, lol.

See ya later.

Jeniwren Report 7 Jan 2011 22:44

Hello everyone, so sorry to be so late coming on, went in to see Mum tonight then went to check that her house is secure, so was late home.
They have done several tests today, blood, breathing, and chest x-rays, they said all the results will be ready on Monday so may know what is wrong with her then. I am going to see the doctor on Monday afternoon.
I may ask if I can take her laptop in when I go tomorrow, that might keep her in bed, she keeps getting up going chatting to other patients in the big ward, she is in a side ward because they say she must rest. LOL they dont know my Mum.
Will let you know how she is over the weekend.
Thank you for all your kind messages.
Susan.
