Morning everyone Guessing our late nighters are still in bed, Shelly, Elizabeth and Pauline.
I shan't watch the footie either as hubby will be at work and I'm likely to be here on my own.
Lots of watering going on around here to try and save our beuatiful plants. Watching the news now on Rothbury, it is very wet up there. Glad to see the problem is resolved. Maybe not the way some would have liked, but at least the threats he made are now finished.
Well must go and see to my neighbours garden as they are away seeing their new grandchild, don't think any pots will last 4 days.
Managed some knitting last night. and more research too.
Have a good day everyone

Dear Shelly
Hello
Boo!
Hope you are well.
Long time, no hear!
Yes, please keep the drinks flowing during the match! I'll start off with a shandy, wine for extra time and russian vodka for penalties!
No way for an upgrade! Its taken me long enough to get to grips with the mechanics of the PC.
What about when we all have to go digital?
That will be a laugh at our expense.............literally and for radios too. Stuff that!
Take gentle care Very best wishes xx

Dear Pauline
Hello
Boo!
I am just finishing off a few e-mails and saving some info as the internet connection has been terrible recently.
Nothing really planned for week-end as such. We'll make it up as we go along, depending on the weather.
Oh yes, the World Cup match on Sunday. Definitely will be watching!
Take gentle care, Pauline Very best wishes xx

Rita your sister was very lucky not to have her bag stolen wasn't she? You and your sister always seem to have eventful holidays. It's just as well the woman hadn't left her child in the pushchair. People often used to leave babies outside of shops while they popped inside. Nobody does that now.
Shelly are you sitting with your feet up now?
Looks like Mo and Linda have spent the day washing everything in the house.
Elizabeth I got a card off you today, thank you for your kind thoughts.

Hi All I feel like I have had a shower with all my clothes on it is so hot it must surely be the hottes day yet.. I have another Great Grandson named Taylor do not know the weight yet so that is another added to my list whooppee.
The doctor had told me he is writing to the other doctor at the hospital and telling him he is treating me from now on. he said Rita you have enough problems and your cancer and you can do without all this. I am going to have blood teste done every 6 weeks for my PMR and if the blood is all right t I will be reducing my steriods down by one. I said thank s for that it put so much weight on me I had my warfarin blood level test done that is not so good my blood is too thin so I have to have another blood test done on 27th after I come back from my holidays.so that is sorted as well.
My sister visited her young sons grave in Italy this week stayed for four days went with my, nephew from USA her eldest son. They went for a walk in the park before going back to the hotel to collect their cases. My sister noticed a push chair running along towards the Lake.no baby in it.she ran like mad to try and stop it going into the Lake my nephew beat her to it . it fell into the lake and he grabbed it before it sunk. she noticed a cafe nearby and went in and asked in Italian if some-one had a push chair outside as it had run into the Lake but it had got soaked but was alright. The women came out rushing to the push chair My sister said she then remember she had left her handbag on the park bench with her money and passport in it. she said it was still there she said I bet it would not have been if it had been in London. she had her wallet stolen once when we were there.and she was holding her bag at the time.

Hi Mo and everyone I think little M was Ok as she doesn't come on a Friday.
I was going to let her Mum settle today after her shock, as Daddy is still away. I will ring this evening to see that all was OK
The blanket dried very quickly this morning. It is so hot. I have been moving the pots from under the trees as the guys are coming to cut some down and others to be reduced on Monday. I thought the pots best off out o the way. So they are all on the patio now. We have the cocker spaniel tomorrow, but I think it will be too hot for him to go far. Only have him for 2 days. Wouldn't be a good idea with the gate open on Monday methinks.
Have a nice weekend all.
Linda :o)

Hello everyone. Well it's another scorching day here,it's up to 30 at the moment. I have got all the windows open, and there is no breeze at all. It's typical we have got two ceiling fans, but they are both in the dining room.
Talking of the price of food etc. We have got a 99p shop in town, and they sell loads and loads of stuff cheaply. The eggs in there are 99p for ten. All the branded cleaning substances, are also the same price. I save a lot of money by shopping there.
Linda, I have made four baby cardigans, since I started last week. Mind you in this weather,my hands keep getting all sweaty,so I have to keep washing them. I hope little one was o.k when she came today.
Must go and get the washing in from the line, and put the next lot out. It's not taking long for it to dry. Be back later.

Morning all, I think it's going to be very warm today.
I'm off out soon, got to see my brother-in-law, give him a good talking too.
Linda you must have been frantic yesterday with the little'n stuck in the car in this heat. I wouldn't have thought of putting a blanket over the window to block the sun - I would have just panicked.
Shelly don't eat all that toast, I haven't got time to make any - so I'll have some of Jeans.
Jean I hope your diabetes doesn't get any worse, hopefully you'll be able to control it without injections.
Same goes for Liz's other half, I think you can do without the extra worry of that Liz. I'm in a hurry today, so I'll read about the wedding saga when I get back home later today.
Elizabeth, I don't mind having a bad winter if we get a lovely summer like this, it's something to look forward to.
Mo I know just what you mean about the brain not working in a panic. I go brain dead whenever I'm in a panic about something. When I calm down afterwards I wonder how I could be so stupid.
Mind you, Rita's brain was spot on when her hubby had a heart attack while driving the car. If that was me...........we would have crashed!!
Rita, I hope you're feeling a bit better today, you've had a lot of upset lately. By the way, I paid £1.36 for 10 eggs, don't know where Shelly gets them for a pound.
Hope everything went OK for Marilyn with the scan.
Where's Yvonne and Sue?

Thanks for the drinks Jean Hubby is in kitchen now, making morning tea. Sunny this morning. Will be sticking our blanket in the washing machine this morning as it was drapped over the car yesterday. We don't like duvets in this house tooo hot for me. Not sure what I will do this morning before hubby goes to work. The later day is mine.
Managed some knitting last night. Making cardigans for eldest daughters friend who has just had a tiny baby only 10 months after the last!!!

Morning all, dont know what was wrong last night, was awake every 2 hours, [think it may have been because it was so warm, infact it is still very warm.] Going to hairdressers this morning to have my hair cut, then to market for salad things for weekend, then home to do housework, wonder if I can have a short nap at sometime.
Is anyone going to the Great Yorkshire Show next week?

Well just caught up with some of this thread, the things that have been going on, two of them I can relate to well.
My son was locked in the car once, and I locked the keys in once! The first time was when he was a toddler and I was selling jewellery at parties, so used to take him with me sometimes, he enjoyed the attention and taking round the pads of jewellery - he was walking at ten months - and it seemed to get people buying lol Anyway went to my team leaders to pick up some things and took son back out to car and went back to get the items and somehow I had shut the door with the buttons down and the keys were inside on the seat! My t.leader called the aa altho I wasn't a member and they came and managed to undo the door with a coat hanger, it was an old Avenger and this was in 1983.
Not long afterwards I went to Cromer with a friend and we were getting our things out of the car to go down to the beach. I put the keys in my bag and got my lad out, had put the buttons down ready to take my bag and slam the doors. My helpful friend did just that but forgot to get my bag out! We went and had some fun on the beach and then had to go to the Police station to ask for help. To my son's delight they took us back to the car in their police car and tried lots of keys on their lost keys board till they found one that opened the boot, then they somehow managed to reach through the boot lining to open a door.
And Marilyn, I have done what your dad did, with the cotton buds! The first time I lost a top of one in my ear, my son was home and managed to fish it out with tweezers but the next time I did it, I was alone so had to go to the a and e dept, luckily at the time it was only ten mins walk from my home so I went there and they fished it out for me. I have to be honest and say I still use buds as I get very itchy ears - it's a family thing, I recall my Mum using a piece of cotton wool on the end of a matchstick or hairgrip lol i am more careful and the minute I start to feel the bud end getting wobbly, I stop using it and throw it away.
Rita, I am glad your doctors are so kind to you and hope you will try the sleeping pills occasionally so you get some rest. The heat and the worry you have had lately is taking it's toll, so some sleep will help you cope, love.
Pauline, what a dreadful worry for you all with your b.i.l. I hope he will be ok and be more careful with his diabetes. I am dreading o.h.'s getting worse as he isn't careful how he treats himself even with the pilltaking and diet etc. If he has to do injections, it will be dreadful, his memory is so bad and he can't even have meals on time at work because of the job he does, but I have told him he needs to explain to the company that he must be able to just have a snack if there isn't time for a whole meal at the right time.
men eh?
Take care all,
more stuff on J. Jean's thread about this blasted wedding!
love Lizxxx
