Shelly you have a yard thats more than I have.I have not got a belcony either.just a strip of soil outside my front room window I watched the lady across the road planting geriuns in her little garden I said I usually plant things in mine but since the little garden stall has gone from across the road wher I brought my plants I have a job getting any I have to catch a bus and go to Home Base. She said Rita I am going to 4 acre flower centre next week some time you can come with me in the car and we can get what you want. I thought tha twas so kind of her. I felt awful afterwards as though l was expecting her to take me. Marilyn hurry up and get rid of the cold or virus whatever it is you have. I dont want it so dont pass it onto me please. go to bed have got lemon and paracetmal. and stay in there till you have sweated that cold out./ pleanty of water is needed as well.I am not surprised Pete didnt want to rub your chest he is not keen to catch your cold. Yes I could spend the day on your garden Pauline getting all that fresh air and smelling the flowers.

Hi everybody, it's been a glorious day here, lovely and sunny and warm. If it wasn't for the breeze it would be sunbathing weather. It's still nice now, very bright.
Linda, your garden's looking lovely, very pretty. You've got more patience than me with all the new flowers in your pots. It'll all look perfect for the wedding on Saturday, hope the weather holds out.
Hope it's all gone well for Marilyn today, she hasn't been on, so she must be enjoying herself. Hopefully your sore throat wasn't to bad Marilyn.
Mo, that's exactly what I said 'good grief', when I saw that Linda was looking for her knitting needles. I think we must get short measured with the amount of hours in our days.
Rita, I wish you lived a bit nearer to me, you could spend as much time as you liked in my garden. You could potter around till your heart was content.
Yvonne, small gardens can be made lovely. I knew a man who only had a balcony, but it was beautiful, it was a mass of colour for months at a time. He had loads of pots and hangers all over it.
Where's our Shelly today?

Yvonne It is not the size of the garden it is the love and care people put into it that counts. I long for a garden now I have had some lovely ones in the past but here I dont have a garden as such, only a small paving slab size but I look after it. . So I am sure yours will be nice. the plants you have put into your boxes and hanging backets may not flower right away due to the change in the weather but keep watering I am sure they will come out better than you think.
Love Rita

Hello everyone
Linda the photos of your garden were lovely, I've did some pots and baskets a couple of weeks ago but they're not doing very well, a lot of green leaves but no floweres :-( my garden is very small.
I hope everything goes well next Saturday Linda
It's very overcast here and cold
Trying to get son to revise, he has exams next week
There isn't too much water damage to the bedrooms, it'll be mostly decorating, a few clothes got damp so I washed them and some sheets and towels that were in the airing cupboard. Was a good excuse to sort out the clothes and chuck out stuff I haven't worn in years and don't fit any more.
talk later x

Morning Rita and all you late risers Overcast here this morning. Might be going into town to get a cover for the BBQ as we have a discount voucher. See how hubby feels as he has to go to work this afternoon.
Think I will just fiddle around on the computer and maybe get some plants in later, if it stays dry
Have a good day everyone

Morning lovely day. I am just going to get the washing together so I can do it today, Looking at TV this morning has given me a fit of depression every bit seem to be of someone or country starting fights. it is Israel now . do you know it is 5 weeks since my sister sent my post card from palistine and none of her cards have reached there destination. she said she had posted them all together from Israel the Israel cards everyone got , the others not one. what does that tell you ? My son phoned yesterday to tell me "he had spent the weekend buying things that had packed up at week-end "his microwave blew up. his TV burnt out. l said " well you TV was geting old 14 years "he has another one but this is the oldest.so he went on a spending spree yesterday. Hope you all have a good Bank Holiday Monday and the weather stays nice for you.

Does anyone have Lady's e-mail as I would like to include her and send the photo's to her. My Canadian cousin has said she wants to use some of the photo's as the wallpaper for her computer !!!
Just done more ironing and sorted the rowels for the spare bedroom.
I was looking for my knitting needles, but think they are in the other spare room in the wardrobe behind all the wedding dress and petticoats etc. So I gave up.

Linda the garden is looking really nice, thank you for sending the pics. It is all ready now for when your guests arrive, well done.
Shelly, you are spoiling your lot. Come on get the whip out,and whip them into shape woman. Thats the thing with us mums,we molly coddle our boys. If my youngest is anything to go by. He is 33 next month, and has only just started to grow up,and take his responsabilities seriously. He was mothered by me,then his wife, then all his girlfriends, apart from the fiance he has got now,she makes him stand on his own two feet,as he has got to look after her. LOL You know what I mean, when I say he does the cooking, cleaning, washing and everything else that goes on in the home. He has to or else nothing would get done.
I wonder how Marilyn feels today. She has got company today hasn't she. I hope she has been fit enought to cope.
Rita what have you been doing with yourself today.
Pauline you are quiet, what mischief have you been up to.

Oh Shelly You've spoilt them haven't you !!! But you did something good if he will change the babies nappy............. maybe he can't stand the smell !!!!
My kids all had their job or no pocket money. Not always done willingly and I nearly always did the laundry. But they all pull their weight in their own homes now. I think my son does the most as he usually does the cooking. His wife was brought up in South Africa and they had servants............. you know. So she says she is hopeless, her words not mine.
Off to get the last of the laundry in now.
Be back later

Helloooo everyone. Linda, I am exhausted listening to all you have done today. Well done my friend,it will soon be over. I bet all the excitement is now building. Is your daughter nervous, come to that how is your OH coping. Weddings can be such emotional times.
Looky loooky, our Shelly was back a little while back. Hi me ol cock sparrer, hows you today.
Well we have had a very windy day today. The sun has been out,but has no warmth to it,because off the gusts. We had a visit from the two youngest grandchildren today. Their dad had taken them to a boot fair. They were so chuffed with themselves, they had bought themselves some In Line Skates, and couldn't wait to try them out. But they had to wait,as dad and his Fiance were taking then out for dinner. They had also bought grandad two Buddha's,as Roly collects them. Ahh bless them, them they spent all their pocket money on them.

Linda you have given me a headache reading all the things you have done and are doing. what pills are you on please ? I would like some of those. I do hope the wedding has the sunshine hoped for and that everything goes extra well for you all. I think your going to need that holiday after all this. will miss you when your not on line but I am sure you will have plenty to tell us all when you come back all about the wedding and your holiday.
