Mo in Kent Report 24 May 2010 13:45

Sorry girls forgot to update you on son's fiance.
The doctor did a water test on her,and said she had no infection. But he has sent the sample away,to check there are no other complications.
He has given her a script for folic acid. And told her that what she is feeling,is pretty normal,it's just the body getting used to her being pregnant. She will probably have a little pain around the time off when her periods were due. ie mid cycle, when she would normally ovulate, but that it will clear when her body gets used to being pregnant.
This baby means so much to her,and she is scared stiff she may be doing something wrong.
Oh dear, been there bought the T/shirt ,but I think we have all been in the same boat, and can feel for her.

I went up to town today, and almost fried on the walk back. Got shouted at by Roly, because I never rang him to get a lift home. It was so lovely when I went up there, and sat outside in the shade with friends for coffee. I didn't realise it had got so warm, till I started to walk home.

I have got the semi finals, for our sixes at darts tonight. Not looking forward to it,as two off our normal team are away in Germany at the moment,so we have got to play two off our reserves. They have not played all season,so are going to be a bit out off practise. So it looks like it could be an early bath for us tonight.
Still stranger things have happened at sea, so they say. lol

Morning,

Pauline are you and your Lappy not getting on this morning ?
or are you going to blame it on Genes ?

I have to go to hospital today, don't want to because its so lovely out there.
I watched Michael Bubl'e last night and had sweet dreams ..LOL.... about his bendy legs also the length of them !!!

Oh well that over, I have just made a fish pie with a difference,LOL I added some curry powder....Hmmm smells nice, don't know about the taste though!

Mo , I hope your daughter in law is better today, let us know the latest.

Pete is choosing some new doors for my barn, but he keeps disturbing me with different patterns to look at.
Apparently most of the company's seems to have gone bust the main supplier's is the culprit they went bust first and they supply all over the country.
Oh well might have to keep the old ones .

Thanks for the drinks Shelly,

I nearly lost the post again there, a page came up and said 'Timed out'. I know I'm not very quick at typing but I'm not that slow.

I copied it that time, so I was ready for it disappearing......which it did do!!

It took a couple of attempts but it managed to post it.

Right, can't remember what I said now.

Mo, have you had any news about your future daughter-in-law and the baby?
I hope she's OK.

If you ever get round to writing that book Rita, I'll buy a copy.
I was going to say that about the bluebells, I think there are quite a few wild flowers we aren't allowed to pick now.

Thanks for the cold drink Shelly, I'll save mine for later because I've just got my son off to the day centre and I want a cuppa first.

Linda, you're way ahead of me because I've still got my first wash in the machine.

Marilyn, I don't see any of my ex boyfriends. Mind you, I didn't have many (unlike Liz), I was with my first husband from the age of 16. I've seen him and he's fat and bald now.

Oh yeah, it sent that one!

Why isn't there a font for sarcasm?

I've just written a long post and Genes said it couldn't send it, then it disappeared. I'll have to write it again now.

too hot for me I have just been and water the plants some belong to the old gentleman upstairs poor plants were drooping in the heat.

I have been drinking water and eating ice cream all day trying to keep cool.

I had two serious boy friends first one l was engaged to we had a row and l went to a party with a friend who was a boy in the red berets I met my husband at that party. we married a year later. The boy friend l left was in the navy he married a friend of mine a year later time went bye and we were invited to a party my children were grown up by now .
The party was one of my neighbours she was 80 and it was a surprise party. my husband and my ex boy friend who was there with his wife he was asked to do the bar they were taking it in turns guess who his partner ? my husband they were chatting away and laughing. l had spoken to my ex we were still on speaking terms he had by this time snow white hair.. on the way home my husband said was he ( the one he worked with ) I said yes he was in the navy then my husband said what a nice guy he wasl said l only picked the nice ones sadly he committed suicide in the late 1990.s l was so shocked when I found out.
he had trouble with his marriage so I was told.
so you can never tell what the future holds.

What a gorgeous weekend it's been.
The advantage with having a laptop is, I can sit in the garden admirring all the plants & flowers in the afternoon sun.

Hi Mo, hope your son's fiancee is ok, maybe she isn't drinking enough water with this heat as she needs to wee frequently to keep any bugs at bay.
O.h's son's fiancee wasn't feeling very well yesterday either, she had a tummy bug I think, but they were supposed to be doing a boot sale today so hope she is ok, not the best thing for a pregnant lady, standing about in the heat.

I have seen some of my exs and been glad I steered clear, lol, and the worse thing is that many of them have died, fairly young most of them under 55 or 60 so I could have ended up a youngish widow. Another has been married and is now divorced and the rest I don't know about, there were a few lol (before someone comments lol)

Better get out and help in the garden, it's too nice to be inside

Enjoy the rest of the day

What a fabulous day we are all having today. I am all hot and sweaty. Just finished cleaning the kitchen, and cleaning my hob properly. It normally just gets a quick wipe after use,but I bet it thinks it's it's birthday. lol
Better the devil you know Marilyn. Just think the ex would not have given you all the love and attention that Pete has. Unless it was from the bottom off a glass.
When I was at work,my very first boyfriend came into the shop. Unfortunately, I had to serve him. What a tosser he turned out to be. His wife wears the pants in that house, and he's a yes love no love kind off man. Not for me I'm afraid,I like a man to be a man,not a woos.
Latest update on son's fiance. He has to take her to the local drop in center at one-o-clock. She has had a bad dragging pain in the lower part
off her abdomen, since she was here yesterday.
As she was here for hours yesterday, and hadn't spent a penny,I asked her when the last time she had been to the loo,and she said not since going to bed the night before.
So either she has got a water infection,or she has got an ectopic pregnancy,or she is getting ready to mis-carry.
I do feel sorry for the girl, she was so pleased about the baby.
It's just me being sceptical, thinking that they should have been better off financially before any off this happened.
But hey ho accidents do happen, even though she was on the pill,it's not 100% safe is it.

Marilyn so glad you enjoyed the party now you can apprreciate your Pete and know you got the better deal lol
It is always a shock when you meet soneone you have not seen for years.how theyalter, but I suppose so do we l know I have the mirror tells me this everytime I looki in it .
I have been out in the little bit of front gardne I have and I mean little i is about two paving stones wide and is the length of my frontroom and kitchen no igger but I am shattered I had a big bag of weeds and old daffs I cut down two bushes that had over grown and the garden looks a lot better now. I need to get a few more summer plants thats it.
so the sun is now full onto the bit I have worked on that was why I worked to get it done as soon as I could..

My son in Law is off to London tomorrow to see his consultant who is doing his major Operation on 6th of June then tuesday he sees the consultant who did his scan and friday he has to have a MUGGAa new thing out. he said looks like I am going to be busy next week.

So glad I stuck with my Pete ..LOL

Mo.. you mentioned your daughter in law pregnancy well I was speaking to a friend the other night on the phone and she told that her daughter now 40yrs is expecting her second baby .and she had to Pay £500 pounds private for the Amino test for Downs Syndrome because NHS do not provide it FREE any more.
So too bad if you haven't got £500 to spare....

Mo
I dont know if that happens in all aera's but it happens in many you have to ask the Midwife for an appointment and book her. we did in the 1950's in my area but I didnt need to call mine as I was rushed in quickly each time to hospital but things change and I think the Midwife needs to see how many she has on her lists .

Yvonne that was terrible what a blow. sorry about your foot tell you horse to were carpet slippers it wont hurt so much.

getting back to your water pouring from the ceiling. I live in a retirement flat and four years ago when l came back from staying over christmas with my daughter I went to bed early as I wasnt feeling too good and i heard what I thought was a dripping tap so I stagged out of bed to turn it off. only to find I was walking on a wet bathroom cvarpet. the flat above had sprung a leak. I had to put buckets under the ceiling. till 6 in the morning I went upstairs and told them, to pull their Anchor cord for help.after an hour no one came I had emptied three buckets by then. so I went back up and asked her did they tell you when they were calling it is an emergency my ceiling has now got a big hole in it. she said I didnt tell them it was an emergency. l thought it was just a little leak I said your husband saw it and the buckets. now I have to sit on the Loo with an umberella when I need to use the loo . l got intouch and they came with in 20 minutes.
results half my ceiling down and a ruined carpet. so I would get your leak done as soon as possible.
I didnt have to pay insurance as the leaseholder has that . I had to wait eight weeks before the plasterer came and did the ceiling and someone came and laid a new carpet. I dont want to go through that again.
it was her bathroom pipe that ran across the ceiling that had burst. if I had not been there I would have been in an even worst state,
