I just posted on your other thread Rita.
Shelly you can all come along to the wedding if you want and see o.h. make an ass of himself, he is sure to do so. There won't be any spare food tho sadly, we have been told it's all on a tight budget, only about 50 people and not even cousins, even tho there are only two on son's side. He said if we get hungry later on after the buffet is finished, the hotel do nice bacon rolls! No entertainment and son said he wasn't sure how long it would go on, but is from 3pm so to have a big breakkie before going to the registry office for 12.30pm. I can imagine the food running out very quickly, so will take some fruit and such to keep me going, I get ill if I don't eat properly and regularly. We are supposed to be staying in the hotel where the reception is being held, the night before the wedding and the next one too, as it's 40+ miles away and I don't want to have to get up really early on the day and have to drive there, the wedding is just after middday 8 miles from the hotel so if we stay over I can get up and get ready more leisurely. Obviously I won't be staying up all night as no computer. Also if the other son does get over from NY to be best man he can spend some time with his dad unless his mum has the same plan to stay over. We haven't heard anything of her plans, I suggested o.h. ring and speak to her about it but he won't so we will probably be stuck in the same hotel the night before - I shall take a good book and a puzzle mag and leave them to it, but if o.h. starts drinking in the bar he will show himself and his family up, good luck to him as long as he doesn't keep me awake with his snoring or throwing up if he drinks too much! Let them cope with him, with a bit of luck he won't make the room and I can have the bed to myself lol
I think I had better get my own son to show me how to use the minivideo thing on my phone lol and I can do it on my camera so can capture the best gaffes lol when o.h. goes a. over t. or falls asleep in a corner somewhere!
Highly unlikely to be any single men of my age range to talk to lol, what a bore it's going to be.

For the past two weeks I have been getting phone calls they say we want to help you with your debts one today said your £1000 debit (all are Indians.) I heard one prompting one of them and his english was appauling. I am wondering where they have got my name and number from. and why phone at night around 5 o'clock. All I can think is that they may be coming from abroad due to the timing they phone me. I dont have any debts so where they get that idea from beats me. I just put a thread up to see if anyone else was having these calls.have any of you had these.

MO I had to read your bit twice when you said March if she is 6-8 weeks gone then it will be either the end of December of first couple of weeks in January unless she is late. my daughter was due in December in 1952 that was what I was going on. but she was born a 8 month baby.(early under 5 lbs. )
Perhaps that is why she is lazy Mo letting you do things for them instead of her .so dont get overdoing it. I know he is your son but she should be looking after him not you.. Remember what they say start something and you carry on/
I like this weather we have a gently breeze but I hate it when it is too hot and I cannot breath. Have you got any dart matches lined up. ?
I am wondering what to do for my tea not that hungry but have to eat because of the pills I take.. Have a nice weekend incase I dont get a chnace to say.
Love Rita

Just added on the other thread Mo, I can empathise with you.
It's very early days with the baby news isn't it?
Marilyn, please choose your words carefully lol!! No way is it my wedding and as for being involved with the plans, no chance, they had it all cut and dried themselves, and I wouldn't have been considered worthy enough to be involved with any plans, just the command as with o.h. to attend on certain occasions, like the 'meet the parents' get together in June and the wedding in August. They didn't even check with us whether we had any holiday plans first, we could have been booked to go away for all they knew.
The sooner it's over the better!

Mo
I think your date is wrong if the baby is due next March she would not even be preganat now if that was so. that would make her carrying a 11month child. It is a shame his other children dont get to see him more. must make it very hard on you. He is going to have one hell of a life with her by the sound of it. what happens when he is working, she will have to do something then.
Anyway how are you OK enjoying the summer Lol.

Good afternoon everyone. Guess who is going to be a nanny again. Yes me. My son's fiance is pregnant, and is due next march. Whew that will make twelve grandchildren. I wish he had found out what he was doing wrong before now. His two children from his marriage, are going to feel a little left out, as they live with their mum,and only see their dad once a fortnight. It does hurt me ,as he is only a part time dad ,and I do worry that the same could happen again. You remember me telling you off the time I was cleaning his pub,and his girlfriend sat and watched me do the work. Well this is the one he is now engaged to. Nothing changes,my son now does all the housework, and she sits and strokes the kitten all day. I dread what will happen when the baby arrives. It fills me with dread.

Just had an email from one of my sons his wifes cat damaged its leg so she took it too the vets it cost her £45 for an injection and £250 for an x-ray she is waiting now to see if it needs and operation I said didnt she take out an insurance ?no she didnt think it was worth it. I said the operation could cost anything up to £1000. She said she will take an insuance out now. I told her bit late it will cost you a lot of money now as the cat is about 5 years old. she has two of them. I dont know how vets can justify their prices. well I have been busy and I am shattered now I feel like I have run a 100 mile marthan. I am going to cook myself some lemon sole and potato's and have a rest after lunch.
See you later. Rita

Morning All,
Beautiful sunny day here as well.
Going for a cliff walk today, so might get sunburnt..or ..tanned . LOL
Shelly that stepson was a bit miserable , haven't you got a photo of him from his first marriage ?
Linda are you getting excited .......? ...... (Wedding) Lets hope this weather stays for your daughter, after all every bride wishes for a sunny day.
Where's our Liz ...haven't seen her in the last few days ! Perhaps busy with her wedding plans as well ?
Linda my brothers tortoise died 3 months ago, he was dead when they got him out from the spare bedroom from the winter, mind you he was 43yrs old. What we thought was funny was last year he had anorexic and was in Hospital !! And it cost my brother an arm & a leg to kept in there, but he did manage to put on weight ,now it shows he was near his end as the result was that he wanted to die.......
Off for my bath......

Morning all. Nice day here as well. Linda to answer your question about where to put the tortoise while you plant. I can only tell you what l use to do. I had a wire chicken mess playpen made and use to put them into that to keep them out of mischief. the good thing was when you went out anywhere you knew they were safe as they were in that and you can move that about the garden shady spots and sunny spots I left a shelter inside so they could get out of the rain or too much sun. make sure you have water in it though .a large shallow dish. Hope that helps.?
I got my INR blood test through it is getting lower now reading was 2.80 it should read 2.02.so I go back for another test on 9th June.
The sun is out and I might g for a long walk this morning. I have not had my shower as yet l am just ambling along here taking my time doing things. I still have not had my sister Post Card from Palestine. I asked Kate her daughter if she had recieved hers. she said no not yet. thats over three weeks I know Palestine has strong restrictions put on them by the Israels. They have it very hard out there. If they want to fly aboard I understand they have to go to Syria and leave from one of their airports.. As many of the Palestinians live outside Israel they have to show their passports when they go in and out of Israel even to work during the day or to visit. I am glad I dont live out there.
Have a nice day

Morning All Hope you all have a good day. Looks like it might be nice here today. Have to go and get some last bits for the wedding today and some bits for our holiday afterwards, Managed to do another pot yesterday. It is a big terracotta one in the border and now full of pansies, petunias, bizzy lizzies and begonias. The birds are very active still and feeding well on the sunflower seeds in a feeder. Yes the tortoise is still tramping round the garden, need to trap him somewhere while I get the new small plants in. Any suggestions welcome !!!!
Try to get back later
