Shelly I am not sure that you can get doctors records,as they are confidential arn't they. It's like me going to my doctor and asking her questions about Roly, she's not allowed to tell me legally. Welcome home Marilyn. Are you staying for a while,or are you off again soon.

welcome Home Marilyn hope you had a good time in Cornwall it is nice to go back to places you know I always find when I do I get a big let down as they never seem to as I remembered. the houses are smaller than I recall the places are different. I always find a building or house I never knew was there. I would love to go back to where my Father in Law mother in Law lived in Cambourne my young brother in Law went there two years ago and said the open spaces had been built on it made it feel more like a town than the little community we remembered. Mo I know what you mean my gran looked after me when my mother went back to work she was a dressmaker for a well known designer in the city and I cannot recall the name now I will when I dont think too hard. I use to go around to my other Gran and get her shopping and sometimes stayed to dinner the family were so close every weekend we gathered at Gran Horwoods it was always party time.

Ello Ello girls. Guess who's back, MOI. Did you miss me Noooooo course ya didn't. Oh excuse me,sorry Pauline you did. lol Like Pauline,I didn't know that monks were allowed to marry. I thought that they married into the church. I know that a friend off mines sister, became an apostulate nun. She remained with the convent for a few years, but decided that it was not for her. She later married and had two sons. But the poor woman lost her husband,in a motor cycle accident.
Oh Linda, why don't mum's realise, that the sooner they beggar off,the sooner the child will settle. It upsets the child more if they hang around. And as you say,the little one soon settles after mum has gone. Enjoy the BBQ at your brothers this weekend. It's nice to be popular isn't it.
Rita all my mum's family lived in the same road when I was young, and it was nice to be able to pop from one family member to another, without having to leave the road. I really do believe that families were closer then, than they are these days. And I mean closer in the fact that they shared all the problems that arose, between them. IE- any illness, there was always a family member to drop everything, and take over the running off the household. Take my nan for instance, when my mum had her nervous breakdown, nan took over and looked after us.
My god Shelly, you are excelling yourself. Who was the one who said she did not like to write long posts. lol So you won't be seeing the muppets this weekend then. You take it easy mate, don't keep tiring the brain out, with all this searching for rellies.

I need to sort dinner out now fish and small pots and peas. so it wont take long to do.
See BOAC are now going to go on strike. all these poor people will now have to make other arrangements for ther holidays.

Oh Well K arrived in a srop again this morning crying and clinging to her Mummy. Mainly because M isn't here as she is on holiday. Mum stayed for ages trying to calm her down to no avail!!! But surprise as soon as the door is closed she stops. Well she has been watching some childrens programmes on TV and promptly fell asleep !! So I have cut the back grass, no point in just sitting in here with her. Will do something more exciting when she wakes up and after she has picked at her lunch. Not a very big eater. It is still overcast but humid and heavy. I have a headache..................... so maybe I should go and lie down in a darkened room.LOL Only joking as if I could.
Enjoy the rest of the day everyone

Morning everyone, it's beautiful here, really hot, and lovely and sunny.
I'll try to send some of it down for you Rita.........Because you're important!! LOL
I've been out working in the garden, trying to get some of the weeds out before I go to the hospital to see my sister.
Shelly, I've had a look at my death certs and they're all signed by the registrar.
Linda, I'm sure you've got more hours in your day than I've got.
Where was Mo yesterday?
Marilyn, did monks get married back on those days, or did they just have kids?

Hi All
It is not a nice day the forcast said sun where is it ? come on who has the sun ? Shelly Like you I lived in the same house my Great Grandfather and Great Grandmother lived in. Grandfather died before I was born but we lived with Gran I walked the street where my Dad was born where all the family lived when they married they stayed in the same area. also my Mothers Parents the Horwoods they lived close to each other Hundreds of them, in those days the family ment just that close family. so I can say I was married in the same church, had my children christened in the same church used the same little lanes and even some of the shops.that had been handed down in that family.. MY sister who is 6 years younger than I am always tells her daughter to ask Aunty Rita she would know as her mememory is good. so anything she wants to know about the area and surrounding areas I can usually help. SEE I CAN BE IMPORTANT AT TIMES> I think I better sort out my pills now and have a cup of tea before I have my shower. Rita

Marilyn I bet you were pleased to find all that out. I have Vicars in my family tree on my Father side way back to 1664 they started from wealthy families and the first son became the sir and the second a vicar. I was gobsmack when I found how manty there were. Grandfather family has started out as Quakers on his mothers side I have the whole list of the quakers someone sent me . His father side was the vicars and farm labourers. The headstones in the churches have all crumpled when Sheila and I went o look and them the vicar told us this had happened in a lot fo the churches so they have list of plaques on the walls in some of the churches with the names listed. our Mullock family were on a pillar outside their church on their estate. no headstones anywhere in the cemetary. I suppose this will happened in future when people look for our graves.. so when do you come home ? did you get to Looe and Polperro ? I think I might go down there next year if I am still around.
