Mo I am OLD the photogrpher was a top class one and I didnt even notice it till my son pointed it out John is 49 and my daughter said I never noticed it till it was pointed out and when you look it does look odd I dont know why I didnt see it before then..the head is slighly askew from my dress neck which was lace my mother made my dress she was a dressmaker.if you look at the neck of the dress it has a little line where my head is. sorry I am killing myself of laughter I can barely type for it. The best part is when I was 16 I sat for this photographic shop as I had long hair down to my BUTT and it was thick black and curly they asked me to sit for them I did and they put them in their windows of the shop I still have a couple of the first which were not as good as the others.but the one I sat for was away and I had one of his workers do it. The shop was called "Harry Bakers" they were in Church Road Willesden at that time I was going to say about your buttonholes perhaps they were used in decorating the church. lol
I forgot to say they were black and white photos.

Rita the buttonholes, were eventually thrown away by the vicar. By the time the reception was over, and we were driven over the border to where our flat was,it was to late to do anything about them. And when Roly went back to camp the following week,he saw the vicar and told him to throw them. We got married in Germany, and lived in Holland. Roly was in the R.A.F stationed in Germany. It was no good saying to use them for another wedding,as we had to have permission to be married on the base, and no other weddings were held after ours. I am not being funny when I say this Rita, but did they know how to do superimposing in those days. And I am not saying you are old,it's just that photography, even when we got married was pretty basic. Camera's these days are far more advanced, compared to my old box brownie that I had back in the 60's.

Hi Mo nice to know your still around the threads. Linda I have to have a laugh now when l got married in 1951 we married on the boat race day The car I was in arrived at the parish church three times we went around the block as the bride was late before me. My husband has walked up and down no one had told him about the delay he thought I had changed my mind. we had photos taken the church had scaffolding up as they were doing a resterarion on the church. we had photo taken in the hall we had hired and they came out well. we didnt have much money when we married so we kept things low key.
Two years ago I was showing my son and daughter some of my wedding photos I had not shown them before my son said didnt you complain about this photo I said dont be cheeky he said Mum this photo has superinposed what are you talking about. ?it appears they had taken the head of me in one of the good photos and the one of me cutting our wedding cake must have been bad so they had put the other head on my shoulder I could not beleive it when he pointed it out you can see it, MY husband would have had a fit if he had noticed.all those years ago and it was only noticed two years agol.

Hello Girls. Rita I will also be pleased when we can turn the t.v on,and watch something other than the election. They took off most off the morning programmes, and replaced them with the results. I can remember a time when the urine samples was dealt with by the practice nurse, and not sent to the hospital unless it was for a pregnancy test. Oh my how things have progressed. Liz, trust you to get nipped by that dog,and not notice it. I forget when I had my last tetanus jab. It has got to be at least 3 years ago. How long do they actually last for. How can tight a*** begrudge his grandchild, the use off your rocking crib. If I was you,I would be sorely tempted to hold onto it,till your son decides to have his own family. It can then become a family heirloom. Let Im indoors pay out for a new one,the miserable old so and so. Linda, your cousin in Canada sounds very brave. God bless him. I hope that all his treatment is successful, and that he continues in this positive vain. I hope you head stops spinning soon, with all the final arrangements. It will all come together on the day. And even if something is forgotten,it will all come out in the wash, and as long as they are wed at the end off the day, thats all that matters. And they will laugh about it afterwards. As they say, been there done that. And the only time you will relax,is afterwards. Even at our wedding, the buttonholes were bought, and left in the church entrance, but never given out. We did not know till later in the evening. LOL

Shelly ME HERE I had to go to the doctors this morning to take my sample bottle it made me laugh the nurse said have you a red top or a white top bottle ? I said Red why ? well the red top bottle goes straight to the hospital the white there nurse dips into. I could not help it I giggles so much I said its like going to a supermarket and chosing gold Blue or Green top milk, I have to wait now till wedensday I have to phone them to see the results of that and a blood test.
My sister sent me a photo she had taken in Isreal she lite a candle for me in the Holy Sepulche In Jeruslem built on Calvery she had written below your candle is the first on the left hand side of the picture so you are blessed. I thought that was lovely for her to have done that.
Well election over ? I am sick to death of hearing about it today I saw Brown grovelling and wanting to lead Labour and Lib?Dem he thinks he is the right person to lead the country.why does he think he is the best person voting shows people disagree. then we get David Cameron offering to lead the country with the LIB?Dem giving them some of what they want. they say a lepoard never changes its spots but this pove that saying wrong. anyway that my last say on the elections. so where is everyone Shelly what have you done with them. Hi Liz your not forgotten hope you OK.

Hi all, I think it's a shame o.h.'s son couldn't wait a while, the girl told me she is so busy concentrating on the wedding plans etc she can't think about the pregnancy so she won't enjoy it as much as if it had been the one thing on her mind, I feel, and with the stress of sorting out the final wedding arrangements for August and the financial pressures they are under for it all, I hope she won't make herself ill or worse. She says she is going to boot sales to get equipment and clothes but I did offer her the loan of my pine rocking crib etc if she can't get all she needs, as it's up in my loft doing nothing. By the time the wedding is over at the beg of Sept - I don't think they are going on honeymoon - she will only have Sept and Oct to get ready for the baby which seems a bit rushed. It also means they won't have the money for a holiday for a while or to get a second car which they really need and to my mind, they would have been better to wait a year first, they could have gone over to NY to visit his brother and meet the woman and her children, who he moved in with and married last June, and done a few things before stopping to have a family and having the hassle of juggling both of them working with no family nearby to help with childcare. Well their problem, not mine - I must shut my mind to it all and just go with the flow lol Of course I will knit some things and help if they need it, o.h. told me off when I suggested the crib cos he said his son would think I was trying to take over, o.h. has some funny ways of thinking, I was just offering help.
I went out yesterday afternoon to do some errands and coming back to the car, I made a fuss of a puppy. It jumped up at me so I moved away as I hate dogs not being trained to stay down, and the owner just yanked on it's collar and didn't command it to stay down or anything. I think he hurt it and I moved away and thought it had scratched my finger when I saw some blood, turned out it had nipped me and it's sharp little teeth had made a puncture that wouldn't stop bleeding - red stuff, no blue blood! As I was going to my house to pick up mail, I called into my docs round the corner from home, and asked if they had a plaster so I could wash and dress the wound. One doc was then going out on calls so he went back to the room as he had asked me about my tetanus jab and I knew it wasn't up to date. He dressed the wound and gave me a jab and antibiotics as he said they automatically do that with animal bites, have to say I was relieved to have such good treatment as not being protected from tetanus and infection I had felt concerned. Blessed nuisance tho as it's the longest finger on my right hand in the top section and I want to keep it dry for a day to heal over, so can't do washing up etc Oh well K will have to do it when he gets home later today, from last night's dinner. Oh well at least the jab is done, I kept forgetting to book an apptmt with the nurse lol
Off to watch a bit of tv and see what's happening, did get my vote in so did my bit!
Take care all, let's hope things will improve in this country once whatever government we get, sort themselves out.
love Lizxxx

Evening Anyone who pops in
I have been busy wth the 2 littles. Hubby had his blood test. We walked to the poling station. Hubby went to work and I have had 2 long phone calls this evening. I heard from my cousin in Canada whohas had a huge operation for jaw cancer. He sounded really good, but is waiting for chemo and radio therapy. I am really happy for him as he seems to be making good progress.
The other was our youngest daughter(the one getting married in 4 weeks !!! ) and she was making my head spin with all the apointments that she has and things she wants me to help with.
Oh well I probably won't sleep now having fallen asleep earlier
Linda :o) XxX

Evening Marilyn I got my results through on my last blood test and it had got a higher reading so I could not fathom why ? that was why I looked for a website to tell me. I have to go again for a blood test on 18th May.
do you know the thread boards have been slack today the Chat and the Topics nothing new like normal. I thought they are all out putting their crosses on the sheets of paper. I have been sorting things out back stuff I have meant to do and have not done so I am catching up on the backlog. I am so cold I have the heating on. I am really shivering with the cold.
I expect eveyone is waiting about for the results I certainly will not.. I am going to watch a DVD now then have my hot chocloate and go to bed. hope your OK and the family. I will not log on tonight .see you tomorrow. God bless

Rita,
I'm glad you told us that as my Dads wife is on Warfarin and I never did get to understand all about it.
I only know that she has to go and have a blood test every week and the results tell her how much dosage of medication to take.
So thank you for bringing it to our attention.
Now who's waiting for the election results ?????

I have found a website that tell you all about Warfarin ad levels and what you can do and cannot do 15 pages I have read. so I know when the iNR is between 2.0 and 3.0 this mean my blood is theraepdite. when it goes below rrange Ie. 1.05 this mean my blood it too thick. and I risk blood clots. (thats what I am taking this warfarin for ) if my INR goes above example 4.05 it mean my blood is too thin and I am at risk for heavy bleeding. so I am telling you all incase you at sometime have to go on this.. makes me laugh to tell you drugs that interfer with your warfarin and guess what ? I take some of these Gout Tablets.Thyrioxine steriods.. all bad with warfarin. my letter came through and it read 3.50 so I have to make appointment for another blood test on 18th
Rita so know I know and you know. Lol

No Rita, he doesn't put lime on the compost heaps but I'll tell him about it.
When he sees a nest, he drops the fork and runs - there's always a couple of them that catch him though.
We've never had snakes in the garden, probably too cold for them up here.

Pauline does your husband sprinkle lime on the compost heap. ?that sometimes stops the bees. I used Jeys fluid on mine I didnt have bees but I did have a big slow worm and a grass snake my husbands f riend lifted it out for me the grass snake I am speaking about and put it onto my rockery he use to go into a hole between two rocks and the children thought it was great not me I dont like creepy crawleies they use to look for it each year., The rockery surrounded a pond and I thought the snake might fall in but he didnt. the cat sat on the paving that surrounded the pond and ignored the snake , The onion I told you about we used that for bee stings for years my husband use to tu tu it and say he beleived in mind over matter he did too. the doctor was indian we moved because his surgery became so big he was open most of the evening as well as during the day and it was a terrace house so i could hear all that was going on he was a lovely man but with all the cars parking it got my sons and husband down. so we moved to Norfolk.

Iam back had my shower made the bed had breakfast. then answered two long long emails. I had to print them off to reply to the many things on them. My Granddaughter Stacey is allergic to nuts (she carries a pen with her to inject herself )she is also allergic to Mushrooms and bee stings, it was a night mare when she use to stay with me in Norfolk (sometimes three months at a time ) when we ate I had to be so careful at what I put into the meals. if we ate out which we did oncea week I use to ask the person behind the counter to please use a clean spoon when dishing up because they often used the same spoon to scoop baked beans up and mushrooms. I saw one scoop up a nutty filling and then scoop someone baked beans up.
Have you been to Vote yet Shelly ? I will be pleased when it is over and done with I am sick to death of all this mud slinging that has been going on They will promise anything to get into number 10 they want the money

Morning all.
Rita, the bees often nest in our compost heaps as well - hubby seems to get stung nearly every year. I'll remember that bit about the onions if it happens again this year.
I hope the excitement of the wedding doesn't start the bridesmaid's labour off, Liz. I'm surprised the bride doesn't want to bring the wedding forward.
Shelly didn't you tell us all to stop you if you ever thought about going to another BBQ with the muppets?
