Shelley
I turn my upside down and gentley tap and you shopu;d see the dust that cmes out of it .I have little computer hoover it is very small and sund on a battery it had two different brushes . but I am often too lazy to get that out so turn the machine up.
Marilyn I could not look at the email photos as it came and I click it to open then it came up with offline and I dont have that. but thanks al;l the same.
I was glad my children had leanred to cook and do their washing as towards the late 60 early 70 we use to get a call and have to rush to Camborne in Cornwall to get to the hospital at Tingel as my father in law kept having really bad turns and they let us know when he was at deaths door. so we had to let the children stay home my daughter was 15 and my eldest son 13 John was the youngest. but they did very well I phoned them everynight and my parents only lived ten minutes away so they needed to look after themsleves..
My daughter is a far better cook than I am now,..

I have just received my voting papers in first tme I asked for voting from home as sometimes I feel it hard to walk across to the polling station. this year is a bit of a problem as the local councillor is the MP candidate and I want to vote for her. but the guy who has taken her place I dont know much about.so I will have to check him out on the computer

I have just had a laugh I had a box full of picture frames in a box in my wardrobe been there since I moved down from Norfolk in 2002 so I took five over to the charity shop last week and told them I have another 24 but need to ask the children if they want them first.they were all covered in Form for pretetion and sealed. MY friend came to me and said she had just brought two picture frames new from the charity shop and she showed me I said I gave them to them she said all five had been sold she had brought two. 75 pence each.

Morning All,

Lovely again today.

Got grand daughter AGAIN. today ....I think she wants to live with me ...

Mo.... pity you are working in this lovely weather.......cant you tell your son you'll give it a miss today.

Pauline you must have been rich ! I never ever got any pocket money and we had to do our bedrooms once a week, funny though as my twin sister and I slept in one half of the bedroom my other sister slept in the other half.
and she would not clean our side ever ,she would put a piece of string to divide her half and ONLY clean her bit !!!

So what are we all up to today ?

Thanks for the tea Mo.....

Morning all.

It's a bit dull today but seems warm, so I'll be able to get some work done in the garden later.

Rita, we all had to do jobs at home when we were young, we only got 2 shillings pocket money but we earned it. I think it's good that parents do that because it makes their children able to look after themselves and their homes when they grown up. Mind you, I didn't feel that way at the time, I just wanted to go out and play all the time - not do jobs in the house.

It did me good thought because I was still in my teens the first time I got married and I was able to cook meals and keep my home clean, as well as work full-time.

Mo, I always seem to get the cleaning jobs when someone in the family gets a new home. My niece is always moving house and I'm always there - on my knees with my rubber gloves on. I bet you were smirking to yourself when your son's girlfriend was cleaning the loo.

Shelly I had that problem with the large text the other day, it was only happening on one thread though.

Is your daughter practicing her cooking so she can look after you when you get old?

Marilyn, my sister does meals like that, sort of a spicy casserole with rice, it's because she doesn't like curry. I prefer a proper curry, I love spicy food, I make mine medium hot.

Wonder if Linda has the bikini on yet!

morn all you lovely girls lol
I am here bu not shouting I seem to have got hold of a sore throat now and a cough dont how I have no idea.
One day I will sign on and say Hi Girls I am so well today.
anyway to get back to normality .I have to say Shelly at least she tried we all have to start somewhere in the cooking aera. all three of my children learned to cook two boys and girl and they are excellent at it now. but I have had some bad meals from them. my husband John and I thought they should all learn to cook and lean to do the washing and Ironing by that I dont mean we wroked them while I sat back and did nothing. we had then do little jobs now and again.while we were there to help. them the only thing was I didnt let them get away with clearing their books and toys away after they had used them or after we had meals they took it in turn to help with the washing up one would dry the dishes the oher put them away so they earned their pocket money even if it was only 2/6 a week at the time.
Marilyn you sound as though you enjoyed your meal if i have curry I am on the loo for ages.that is why I stick to other foods not curries or spice dishes.
my kids love curries and spicy foods.
Mo take knee pads with you . and think of all that weight you will lose doing all these job.
have a nice day everyone.

We all had to start at sometime Shelly, bless her at least she tried. Give her a few more lessons with something else. She can't exist on chicken nuggets and chips forevermore.
Has she tried doing a stir fry,you cant go far wrong with that. Apart from burning it maybe.
Rita,we mums do things wether we want to or not at times,it seems an automatic thing. I have always been the one to do the cleaning, whenever
my kids have moved. And that can be a bit tiring when all five decide to move one after the other.
I think I take after my mum for that, she bought me up to do these things, and now I do them automatically.

Hello girls.
It is going to be very quiet on here for a while again isn't it Rita.
I will be around some off the time,so will Pauline. But Shelly,Yvonne Sue and Lady have deserted us.
I wonder did Sue renew her membership, only I think she was due for renewal at the same time as me.
At the moment we have decided not to have a holiday Rita. Cant really afford it love.
We have been to our sons new rented property today. I have spent most off the day up to my elbows in soap suds. I dont think the previous tenant
knew how to clean the oven,it was disgusting. But it's like a shiney new pin now.
There was a leak from under the sink, where the other people had taken their washing machine out,and not bothered to put a blanking cap into the
pipe under the sink. So as I was washing things down, and throwing the water away,it was all going into the sink unit base. I wondered where all the water on the kitchen floor was coming from. Stupid me not noticing.
Well the floor got a double clean lol
Roly had to go and get the blanking cap,and fit it on for them.
My sons girlfriend actually worked very hard, cleaning the bathroom. I could not face doing the toilet,ha ha so I got her to do it this time. It made up for me having to clean the pub loo's for them that time, when she sat back and watched me.
My son and his mate, painted the two bedrooms, and then the bathroom.
We have worked like trojans today,so now I am sitting down doing nothing for the evening.

Hi everybody.

Rita your post about the doctor saying he was proud of you made me laugh, I wonder what he was talking about. You must have done something right.....lol

I sometimes do that vanishing trick as well, really annoying isn't it when you're just about to submit your post and it vanishes?

Is it a yellow polka dot bikini Linda?

Thanks for the coffee Marilyn, I've got loads to do today so didn't have time to make one myself.

Mo, it's easier and quicker to use predictive texting, it takes me forever to type a text in the normal way. I tried to get my hubby to use it but he doesn't understand it.

Where was Shelly yesterday?
