Dermot, I wish I could e.mail or phone my grandparents. I lost my mums parents in 1952 and 1953 when I was six. My Grandparents on dads side well, grandmother passed when my dad was a young child, and grandad died when I was nine. The only method of communications with them now would be via a medium, or ouija board, and theres no way I would go down that route.
Hi Shelly.....

Were you lucky enough to have known some or all of your grandparents?
Some say that grandparents are essential for the mental health & stability of a nation. They have always held a place of honour in traditional societies. But in our modern society, grandparents are often shoved to the margins.
If your grandparents are still alive, when did you last visit them; write, phone or, even, e-mail them? Do so now because they are a treasure.

Morning all. Linda, I am sorry to hear your sad news about your parents, bless them both. It's very hard living so far away from them, and not being able to pop in and visit them, as I know you want to. They are both in the best place for them at the moment, with all the care that they need love. Stay strong Linda, and when you see them, give them extra cuddles from us all. Make sure you keep your energy levels up as well.
Marilyn, what a shame about the fete being a wash out. It takes some organising getting these things up and running in the first place, only to have them washed down he drain like this, is a dissaster.
Maddie, two hours of ironing is excercise in itself love. My excercise for today, will be me throwing my arrows at the dart board. No, spears wont work i'm afraid, theres just not enough room for them.
Pauline, washing on the line!!, whats that then. It's been pouring it down here, and blowing a gale. The washing has had to go on the clothes horse again, in the spare bedroom. Thank goodness it dries well in there. But theres nothing like air dried clothes,is there, they always smell so lovely and fresh, and a lot softer.
Going to get my bath now, speak to you later.
I bet I have missed Rita, but I will say have a lovely time all the same.

We've got the sun today, we had rain all day yesterday - gave the garden a good drink. I'll be able to get some washing on the line today though.
Hope you have a good time Rita, try not to get too upset about John, you had a lot of good times together.

Aww Linda, I'm so sorry to hear you're feeling so low. It must be awful not being able to see your parents when they're both ill. Your mam will have to stay in hospital until your dad is out and able to look after her again. The stress won't be helping him either.
There's nothing you can do about it at the moment but that won't help the way you're feeling. Your husband will take you over there on his next day off. In the meantime I'm sure your sister will be with them as much as she can be, so they won't be alone.

Morning all.
Just been ironing for 2 hours, so no exercise for me today.
Linda, stop for a minute. I too rushed around like a mad thing when my Mum was very ill.
just stop for a few minutes and give yourself five. If you make yourself ill you will be no good to anyone. Of course your parents are very important, but you need to look after yourself too. Make sure you eat too. I made that mistake, and was running around on empty.
Hope everyone else is well.
Ta ta Rita. Have a good rest.
See ya later.

Morninall Stephen you have stollen the sun!!! LOL Sorry if you need it you can have it today. But I had hoped to cut the front grass. Not looking too hopeful just now. Think youngest will be bringing a soggy tent home from her weekend away !!!
Mum is not too good and she is very confused. She said she was at the school she worked in as a secretary................... but she retired nearly 20 years ago. Oh how I wish I could just pop in and see her. Mum and Dad are so close and never without each other. Now they are in different hospitals and 30 miles from me. As I don't drive and hubby is working I can't get to see them. Youngest is away, son is also away in Spain(he doesn't know they are ill either) and eldest has work commitments to the YMCA as a manager and also working shifts.
Woe is me, sorry feeling a bit down, can't let hubby see I am upset as he can't change my parents illnesses.
Will pop back later when I have cheered up a bit.

That eagle must have been quite a good shot!
Stephen, do you often have that effect on young girls?........Causing them to weep!
Hope you have a nice time meeting up with your siblings Yvonne.
Rita, now's your chance to go out dancing............ make up for lost time.
Linda, when I read your post - I thought 'My God woman, sit down and relax for a while', but then I saw that Marilyn had already said it.
I read that as well Pat............. at least he admits it.

Did you ever hear the tale about the only record of someone dying from baldness - a subject of some personal concern?
Well, if you really - and I mean really - want to hear the rest of the story, I'll be happy to oblige. But, I'd sit down first if I were you & empty your mind completely of dull worries like cooking & washing-up. Go on - relax for a moment in your favourite chair. You wont regret it.
I love a big build-up to a story - so, here goes.
Aeschylus, a Greek playwright, was reputedly killed when an eagle dropped a tortoise on his bald head mistaking it for a rock.
There you are now. Don't you feel better already? Where's me coat?

I hear there are a lot of 'Broads' in Norfolk. ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)
Just had a Great Niece visit for the first time. We spent a good while going over the Family History.......I think she may have caught the bug. She was actually crying when we met at first, she said I looked so much like her Grandad, my brother, who died when she was a lot younger.
Hope this finds you all well.
Time for shower, supper then bed.
Night all ! :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D
