Thanks girls for your good wishes for my litle holiday. I loved living in Norfolk I only moved down south as it was long journey for the kids when I was ill and with all the traffic it got worse. I did so much more excersie when I lived there. I went ballroom dancing twice a week and country and western dancing twice a week as well as long walks every day with my dog. Here I dont do anything like, maybe walk around the lake now and again when the weather is OK. so I am putting on so much weight. I go to the Isle of wight next month 9th July on a coach trip with my sister for a week.and can call in and see some friends of mine who have lived there for 30 years. also my husbands cousin. who I have not seen since my wedding and that was along time ago,
tomorrow would have been my husbnd 84 th birthday how time passes.

Here she comes, her royal majesty. Thanks for the crown, Mo. ;-)
Linda I do hope your parents feel a bit better soon.
Right, now I have cracked the whip a bit, I can relax.
Rita, have a lovely time. Tell us all about it when you come back. Not long til your Isle of Wight jaunt too.
After my bike ride this morning, I didn't see Stephen by the way, he must have been just ahead of me. I went shopping for grub. Came home and went shopping for meeeeeeeeeeeeee. :-)
I bought myself a couple of summer tops in Hennes. As shop I usually pass straight by, but something caught my eye, and I exited plus two cotton tops. Hurrah.
It has been quite grey here, spitting with rain on and off. :-(
See you later.

Hi Everyone Rita have a lovely time with your family in Norfolk. Hope the weather is kind to you.
I think Liz is away too, have a nice break.
Cath thanks for asking after my Dad, yesterday was just obs still, they said Monday earliest................. but now looking longer Wednesday at least before he can go home.
Unfortunately Mum's sugar levels dropped in the respite care. So my brother took her to hospital they then kept her in last night, seeing the Dr today. I guess she won't be out before Monday at the earliest.
Family are keeping me informed and I ring my sister and cousin, who then rings Dad's brother and his aunt too. My hubby is still on late shift til Monday so I can't get across as who wants me til midnight before I can be picked up.
I have been shopping this morning and then to the DIY where we got the paper for our feature wall in the spare bedroom, pale lilac paint for the other 3 walls and the usual bits and pieces you always need.
I have just rubbed the walls down where the paint lifted with the old wallpaper.
Earlier I mowed the back lawn.
Now I am going to rest a bit and knit some more. I might paint the ceiling if I feel up to it.
Enjoy the evening everyone
Linda :-) <3

Hello everyone, nice and sunny here today so thought I would clean out shed as it was pretty disgusting. I tackled some huge spiders and webs and threw out a load of junk hoarded by OH in case it came in handy. :-S It seems really empty now but I'm pleased it's done. Had Alexa my youngest granddaughter stay last night, she is very into gardening and loves to help me water and weed, even has her own little gardening tools and gloves. She was so excited to see our tomatoes, cucumbers, and runner beans doing well. She is so much fun but exhausting, I must be getting old :-P I have 686 in my GR tree. Most are verified but a few still need a bit of work including "the mysterious grandfather". Hope everyone is well and enjoying their weekend, Linda I hope your dad is ok. <3 <3 <3

Trust you two to try and spoil my fun. It's all done in the best possible taste of course. I went to the gym, but gym was out, thats why I went to the pool instead. ;-) *execise is good for you Stephen. The swimming instructor said I should try the diving, so next week he said I am to try the high board, I am not sure what he meant by that though, he will have me jumping through hoops before I know it.

That's a good dinner for a Saturday Rita. We've only had sandwiches........... made with chicken left over from yesterday.
I've had a look at my contacts and I've got one who has over 31,000 people on her tree. She's got my family on there but it took me ages to find a connection to us. Her greatx4 grandfather's brother married my greatx4 grandmother - after my greatx4 grandfather died.
In other words........ there isn't a blood connection because her greatx4 grandfather's brother didn't have children with my greatx4 grandmother.
Saying 'our cat ran up their passage' would have been a stronger connection!!
Marilyn, the curtains are for the hallway (not the passage the cat ran up). I've got material to make 3 pairs for the bedroom but God knows when I'll get round to making them.
Mo, I'm not a very good swimmer, don't like water very much. I'll just sit and talk to that good looking man that was stroking your body............ what did you say he was doing?
Do you think we should put a stop to it, Stephen? It might sap all of her strength.

Helloooo all. I am going to crown Maddie, making me think I must excercise in readiness for the Olympics. I have been down the swimmimg pool, getting some practise in, no running for me i'm afarid, thats faaar to energetic. I am getting good at the Crawl ( expert in crawling thats me ), the back stroke, ( I found that soo relaxing) especially the masseuse,he was soo good looking. Now what was the other stroke I tried to do,..... oh yes the breas......., now that was far to exciting for me and had to give in after a few strokes. I am going back tomorrow for seconds, I never thought being in training like this could be so enjoyable. lol ;-) Pauline you could join me down at the pool if you like, you don't need to go for that 5mile run.
Oooh Rita have a lovely holiday. I am sure being back in Norfolk will bring back some lovely memories for you.

Thanks Pauline for telling me. I am not being nosy just interested how others trees have come along. I belong to Ancestry but get confused with the way there tree is set-up. I found GR one easy. I am going to get some of the others on soon. it is just a case of sorting.
Marilyn i am like you I have not copied off anyones tree I have asked questions and been giving permission to view their trees.if I have wanted to add someone they have given me permission and I have done the same to them.but that is very rarely and only someone who is close to me in the ancestry tree,.
My daughter phoned to say they will pick me up tomorrow morning so I will have to do the packing this afternoon.
Rita
I am doing a chicken breast for my dinner with roast and greens and carrots I have strawberies for desert. so I am having a bean feast as my Mum would say

Hi Everyone,
Just had a bacon sarnie.....hmm delicious .
Stevey...a lot of peeps copy off of other people's tree's instead of doing their own research that's why they have so many in their tree. Lets face it it does cost a bomb to get some certs in order to prove your ancestors. As much as I have seen & been given permission to view other tree's I have never copied from them, but maybe others have copied from mine...no doubt !! The excitement goes the minuet you copy .....unless you are really stuck and then maybe ...
;-)
Going out to get some food as son & family are coming to dinner tomorrow.
Pauline what curtains are you making now ? :-S

Why Is It ?
Everytime I plan to do loads of work outdoors the weather takes a turn for the worse......it's raining.....not a lot....but enough to take the pleasure away.
He Ho ! Will just need to find something to do indoors......I could annoy Mrs Stephen.....but that would be risking serious injury ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)
Family Trees I have been in touch with folks who have more than 20,000 YES I did write 20,000 Crazy. They don't even know many who are on their Tree. :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S
Having Coffee and a relax.......Magic :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

Rita, I've just had a look at my tree on here (well, the home page) and it says 868 people. I have more than that on my Ancestry tree because I put side-shoots on there. The side shoots help me to see what happened to all the families and where they all lived.
I often find the siblings of my ancestors living in the same street as each other, sometimes just a couple of doors away.
It's cold here today, dull and grey.
I'd better go and do a 5 mile run........... can't have Maddie winning all the medals.

My goodness Linda that is a great number. you must have worked hard to get that far. I was checking the trees I gave permission to view my tree a long time ago)and I had signed 100 years hidden but I notice they have my name and my sister and my Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren how can they have got that ? I have a part tree on Ancestry but none of these are listed.
My tree has my father, and mother.s, and mothers brothers wives as well and Grandmothers and my Aunties (my Dads only sister )) but I was surprised to scroll down one of the hot matches and found through a marriage someone has all my family on it right back to 6 times great grandparents and myself and my family and as I said Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. so I am wondering how they mmanaged that?
