Morning everyone, hope you enjoyed a peaceful night.

Breakfast is ready.

Cereal, porridge or fruit,
Grilled bacon, poached or boiled eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms.
Toast, hot rolls or waffles, jam, marmalade or honey.
Tea, coffee or juice.
Please help yourselves.

Has anyone plans for something special this weekend? I am going to have a quiet, restful two days, {at least I hope I am} Chris is taking Scarlett to see the In the Night Garden show and she has a ticket to meet Igle Piggle, [anyone with young children will understand what I'm talking about]

Stephen was the flooding near where you live, was very surprised to hear about it on Thursday [think it was Thursday]

Hope you all have a good weekend and are able to relax.
Take care and stay safe .
Jean xx :-) :-) :-)

Maddie your exercise regime puts the rest of us to shame :-S Lol.
The dreaded weekly shopping to do today :-( but I'm not looking after the little ones this afternoon so will do a bit of weeding and tidy up of garden and pots. Youngest granddaughter is staying over tonight, she's a laugh a minute and great fun but gets up at the crack of dawn so no lie in tomorrow. Hope everyone on friendly is well and has a good day.

Good Morning All.

I know what you mean Linda. As soon as I wake I have to get up, I can't just lie there. The sun is a little sickly this morning. But trying to break through. Friday, hurrah. Got all weekend off. So will be able to do something for myself for a change.

Just off to do my 5 mile run, I pop my i-pod in my ears, and sing along to it, make the running easier. :-)

I dont think I will swim this morning. Too chilly.

I tried the bike last night. I got to Buckinghamshire and back, so not bad going. I am gonna crack this tri-athlon lark. ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)

Do try my detox drink, it may taste a little strange, but think of the wonderful health properties.

Hope everyone is feeling a little better this morning.

See you later.

Dermot
I can actually remember selling these in Boots the Chemists when I worked there and how can it be possible to eat a caramel toffee and it help you to loose weight.

I have wondered where they went?? Can't remember seeing them or a replacement for years

Remember this Ayds advert c.1982. We don't see this product in the shops these days. Talk about the wrong product name at the wrong time.

"Lets all get Ayds! Diet suppression chocolates. Use Ayds only as directed".

Evening all,
Linda hope your dad recovers quickly.
Dermot loved the mother in law letter, brilliant. My mother in law is great, we have never had a cross word in the 32 years I've known her.
Hope everyone is ok, I'm on the trail of my erring Grandfather :-S
Back tomorrow.

Linda. sorry to heat about your Dad and it must be a worry for you about your Mum that is the trouble when one partner is ill and cannot look after the other.
and of course she will need to have a close eye kept on her.I had a friend Betty with that ,and she went into a home as she needed special care. she died two years ago.
I hope your Dad will soon be out of hospital on the way to recovery.

I will be watching Prince Phillip tonight on BBC1 to think he will be 90 on Sunday. ? I cannot beleive it. I recall when they married. He was called a ladies man then. I think he has done very well .

Hi Rita
We got your rain, several heavy downpours through today. Can I have some warmth back, hubby put the heating on before he went to work as I was so cold !!!

My friend came for tea this afternoon after other friends popped in this morning for coffee. So been busy and the phone has rung off the hook too.

One call was the Drs. cancelling tomorrows BP check. Re done for Monday morning now.

Had a call to say Dad was kept in Harefield Hosp after a check up yesterday showed he has some problems including a chest infection and the lower part of his heart isn't working properly. Add to this Mum with dementia and diabetes who cannot care for herself now. Well Dad is in hospital til at least Monday and my sil has been fighting all day to get Mum into respite until he gets back home. Finally found somewhere now Dad has to be told. Hopefully she is on her way there now as she should be being collected at 6:00. I'm too far away at 30+miles and Hubby working from 1:30 and not home til midnight so can't even go and visit who would want me til then.

Oh well the problems of aging parents. Especially when my youngest sister chose to have them live close to her.

Be back later

Who's watching Prince Phillip tonight?

Linda :-) <3

It was a bit drizzly down South.
I'm not really hungry. I went out to lunch.

Puffs and pants.

Oooh hello all, I have just jogged home from work. Changed into my trackies and trainers. Put the shopping into my rucksack and got home in about 15 minutes. ;-)

I am training seriously running and swimming, but need to start on the bike. I have a stationery one upstairs, so will begin on that. I dont want a sore bum do I?

We had one shower this morning that was so hard the rain hit the pavement and bounced back up again. Then it just stopped, 10 minutes later it was dry. :-D

I shall be having a dinner of protein and carbohydrates tonight.

Fish and chips.

See ya later.

I have sat down and thought of all the jobs I have to do. and didnt do any.
I sat and watched two films on TV both westerns. I do love a western ever now and then.
I am off to see what to have for my tea now.

I got away without siging in this time but it does get annoying, why had it just started doing this. ?

I didnt like my first mother in Law she was "put me first type of person " then her and father in Law devoiced and he married a widow what a difference she made to the family.she was more of a mother to the children (there was 8 in the family four grown up and four under 14)

I hope I am a good mother in Law. I have had no complaints my daughter in laws call me Rita and my son in law calls me Rita. it started when they married and I was still young (well in my late 30 's.) and it is the same now. I love it.
