Morning all , well good morning if you like the rain,? it has rained all night long, not stopped the car park is flooded, should be boats out there at the moment not the cars. It is still raining heavy.
Hello Barbara I have spoken to you many times on the threads..It is a laugh on here as we are all children at heart.many will think we are nutty as fruit cakes.
It is funny when we look back and think what we are now researching we had at our hands we only had to ask questions and would have saved us a lot of research.
I received the email from Pauline Stephen I will take alook later and see if I can find anything.for you.
back later Rita <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

Well at last. Good Morning.
I have been trying to get on here for about 90minutes. What is happening, some importance work on the site apparently. :-D
Very wet and windy, the weather, not me. ;-)
Hello Barbara. How do you do. I am the polite one. ;-)
The trouble with family trees is that we start them too late to ask the remaining members of the family. I have had half-truths and fairy stories, so that took a time to sort out before the very ordinary came to light. :-)
See ya all later.
I just like do this :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)
Hope everyone is well and warm this morning. <3

Perhaps we should give a thought to some French Beaches today .
Utah, Omaha, Gold, Juno and Sword.
All in Normandy and very important on 6th June 1944.
The survivors of that day will be old.....the rest will stay forever young.
I have a particular memory for Bill Millin, the Commando Scots Piper who played whilst marching up and down Sword Beach inspiring the Commando Troop onwards. Wearing his Kilt and blowing like blazes he wondered why he wasn't killed. Afterwards some German Soldiers said they had admired his bravery and didn't aim for him.....thay also thought he was mad. Bill Millin died last year, August 2010 in Devon age 88
Remember them today.

Cath,
I've hit so many 'Brick Walls' and spent so much money.....I could have built a house with the bricks :-( :-( :-( :-( :-( :-( :-( :-( :-(
It gets frustrating but I leave it a wee while and then return refreshed......if you're gonna hit a Brick wall best to be refreshed :-0 :-0 :-0 :-0 :-0
Like many folks doing their Family History we find it's too late to ask the questions, the answers are now buried in the ground or gone up in smoke.
I'm determined to leave my family as much information as I can.

Lol, Maddie. I'm starting to think he was a black sheep, but even so I do want to find out why. My own Father never knew him as he left my Gran when dad was only a toddler. I have hit so many brickwalls lately it's getting depressing :-( I have found a possible death for him and also a marriage which might be him but don't want to order certs till I've got to as it's getting expensive to end up with the wrong ones. I'm determined to find him though so may have to fork out. I don't even know what he looked like as their are no photos within the family and nobody left alive to ask. Pat my youngest daughter loves vampire stories and films, don't know where she gets it from, lol. Night to everyone, sleep well,
Cath xx <3 <3 <3

Hi everyone, I haven't been exercising or any of that rubbish! :-D I counted the church's collection this evening and I've been reading. I'm reading the last book of Dance to The Music of Time and then I want to read the rest of my Vampire books. I'm going to donate them to the church Garden fete which is the 25th June so I'll be busy. Bargain Agatha!. I started to imagine all the books I could buy if i'd won the 1st prize in the Grand Draw.£250 :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Evening All !
Don't need to water any Hanging Baskets etc tonight.......it's raining.
Knackered after doing my Zumba exercises ( Aye Right ) :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P
Exercise is useless......do you know how many fit people die ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)
I laugh when i see so many joggers with a real 'PAINED LOOK' on their faces.
Exercise is meant to be enjoyed and be fun. So many put themselves through hell and don't enjoy what they are doing.
The get fit and then die of STRESS. :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S

I thought "The Royal " was good this evening made a change to see something new on the TV.instead of a repeat .Agatha I have friend who live in Linconshire John and Dot live Kirton Boston Lincs I have known John since he was born. I use to baby sit him when his mother had to go out. They moved there as his wife Dot was having trouble walking and so they moved into a Bungalow. about 6 years ago. we have a centre near here for senior citzens they do meals and have Bingo and go on outings they also have a hair dressers and foot clinic among other things, they have five shelves of books many new and most are hard back they have a box and you put twenty pence for each book you take away.when I go there I usually buy £1 and when I have read them I take them into our laundryroom for people to take and read. I started that up when I moved here 8 years ago as many cannot get out. it is well used.
Marilyn I have written to the DFHS about my missing Absalom hoping one of the new members may know some thing ? I only hope they put it in the next addition. I am waiting for my Willesden Family History one to come as it has an article written by my sister about the road we were born in. I helped her with some of the details but she did all the rest.she did a wonderful write up. about Meyrick Road.
Time for a cuppa now and get back to my book.
