Evening friendlies,
been a blowy day down here too. Sunny and warm though so not all bad.
Maddie I really feel for K. One of my knees is wrecked due to a fall I had 5 years ago and sometimes I could cry with the pain despite taking tablets daily, I hope they can do something for him.
I love Catherine Cookson as well and have all her books in hardback now, they were a special offer 5 or 6 years ago (maybe more) and came out once a fortnight at the newsagents together with a magazine about her and her life. She had a very hard upbringing which I think is mirrored in some of her books.
Hope everyone is well

Maddie,

My knees are buggered up. Years of carrying heavy packs did most of the damage, coupled with them getting frozen solid at times.

I have little or no cartlidge left in my knees and don't have enough Synovial fluid to lubricate the joints.

I take Cod Liver Oil Capsules but also exercise the muscles without putting pressure on the joints. The muscles are the 'Shock Absorbers'
If the muscles are in poor nick the joint takes a hammering.

No easy answer.

A friend had his knees shattered and was told by the 'experts' he would never ,walk,run or climb again properly. He proved them wrong. Guts, grit and determination saw him through.....and yes, Davy takes Cod Liver Oil Capsules as well.

Maddie poor K must be pulling his hair out, not knowing which way they are going to go with him, is so frustrating.

RA can be diagnosed by blood. many of the illness can. PMR is done that way as well.
I get trouble with my knees now and again but mine is weight. I am putting it on. all these tablets dont help..

For Sunday TV it has been one sided. if you enjoy football or Mortor racing you must have had a great day, for people who like the relgious programmes you must have had a great day even the Political progames this morning was on religion I watch and sing along with Songs of Praise on a Sunday. but that was more a commentary on how it use to be for class asembley. The old songs were not sang. the new ones where,
why do they do this ?

I feel I have been short changed today .with all these programmes.

My god you lot can chat for England, Scotland and NZ, I have had three pages to catch up on. lol

Thank goodness you are both o.k Maddie, it's strange how we do miss friends when they don't post for a while.
What a flippin nuisance when the hospitals lose patients notes. I bet K was well cheesed of.
Surely Physio will only aggravate his problem. It seems to me that they should do an exploratory op to find out whats causing his problems.
Three of my clan have all had exploraties done, the only one who they couldn't help was my daughter. But they did diagnose her Rheumatoid Arthritus, by eliminating other problems for her.

It sounds like the wind and rain has been covering most of the country. It's still blowing a gale here at the moment, and we had showers earlier.

~~~~~~~~~~to everyone, so that I don't leave anyone out.
Maddie,
You were posted as missing................welcome back
It's a bummer when the knees are not 100%
Pyhsio is fine particularly if it's just muscular, if it's the cartliage that's the problem Physio wont do much good.
It's maybe an old wifes tale but it does work.........
Cod Liver Oil Capsules......take one every day without fail...and it will help bad joints. It's worth a try.
The wind here is now a hurrican I am not kidding it is bending the trunks of trees in half. and you can hear the whistling of the wind among the leaves, If any one of the six trees falls it will go on witherthe parked cars or the flats.
Afternoon everyone
a bit breezy today and showery, one minute blue sky, next rain.
I recieved a cert yesterday from Lancashire RO, ordered it online Thursday evening, how's that for service.
Agatha there is a Tesco store 10 minute walk from me so if I need anything in a hurry I pop along. I don't get my weekly shopping from there as it's only a small store but it's handy for milk, bread etc.
Rita,
My Clan are the Gordons.
I have a special Gordon Tartan Sash that I carried a lot of places.
It's a bit 'War Weary' looking now and has been put away for my family to have when I'm gone,... along with a long tale of where it's been.
It's really magic what you can get on Family History now.
Had a nice wee break for Coffee and a Bacon Roll.
Catch you later.
Pat and Marilyn the Tilly Trotter widowed is very sad it is where she goes off to live as a Pioneer. I managed to get Tilly Trotter book hardback when I was in London about 8 years ago then I got a hard back of Tilly Trotter weds., I was speaking to a lady I know about Catherine Cookson a couple of years ago and she asked me if I had Tilly Trotter Widowed ? I said no. sorry, she said I have it and brought it round to me to keep that one is a paper back.
Stephen recall I was telling you about Grans brother who was mentioned in despatches ? I emailed my Cousin and asked her if she knew anything about himj. ? she said he was her brother ( My grans nephew.)
I got an email this morning she said he was mentioned in despatches he was a submariner and the sub was torpedoed off the coat of Italy , The Captain got gthe gong but some of the men got mentioned in despatches. for the exploits prior to them being sunk.
she is sending me the details. so I have that sorted.
I had three Grandfathers in the submariners and one Gt Grandfather and one Gt Gt Grandfather the others three uncles were all in the Mairnes.
It has started raining here and very windy.
I have put my dinner on having an early one today I am having roast potato's a port chop with sage and onion stuffin and apple sauce and garden peas. . I have a small apple pie for after (shop brought )
