Very apt Dermot, a poem about death seeing that I've just come from a funeral. I thought i could do with a treat so I bought a cooked chicken and I'm going to have an early lunch, get changed and then on to work

Surprise! Surprise!
--------------------------

I dreamt death came the other night
And Heaven's gate swung wide;
With kindly grace an angel came
To usher me inside.

Yet there to my astonishment
Stood folk I'd known on earth,
Some I had judged as quite unfit
Or of but little worth.

Indignant words rose to my lips
But never were set free;
For every face showed stunned surprise
NO ONE expected me!

Yes Marilyn,
I knew the lady that died quite well. As well as you can know someone in a large Parish. Her husband played the organ at my wedding Donkeys years ago.
Maddie I hate going back to work after a holiday. If anything I tend to get ill! i have a reputation for doing that!

Marilyn, If I don't work I don't get paid. I'm part time and not earning enough to pay an insurance stamp. Crazy. I asked once if I could pay one even though I don't have to and was told no.
Hope all goes well for Pete tomorrow and it won't be long till he's feeling like a new man :-)

Hi everyone,
I think my day went ok. It was busy! I've got tomorrow morning off. I'm serving at a requiem mass tomorrow morning. The mass isn't until 10.30am so it means I can have a lie in. I mustn't forget that I've got to go to work int he afternoon.
I've had fish and chips for tea. That's my Monday treat.
Rita you seem to be having a lot of bad luck with appointments :-(
