Marilyn, grow your own, they taste better. Mind you, you can't grow them all year round.

Edit: I grow both Pat, and gooseberries, plums, cherries, apples and rhubarb. I tried to grow peaches but it's not warm enough up here.

Pauline, Marilyn, you are right about G.Daughter. I dread what will happen when she has to cope at home, sleepless night etc, tiredness huh whats sleep when you have a new baby.
We are baby sitting little Lilly saturday night, I just hope she doesn't have one of her turns, when she decides to stop breathing, or has a touch of her acid reflux, yuk, I think i will take extra clothes with me, just in case.

Marilyn we loved it in Saltash. When we visited Roly's cousin in Liskard years ago. They used to own the the Wheatsheaf pub in Liskard.

Pauline, Marilyn must have been walking round with her eyes shut, not to have bought something is unheard of.

Maddie, I am waiting for a reply about a request for someone to come and look at my washing machine.
We took out homecare insurance for it, after we bought it, and now the door lock is a beast to lock, (well after I kick it, it works), so it looks like I may be waiting in for someone to arrive as well.
You don't mind if they say if it will be a.m or p.m, at least that way you can plan your day,and not have to stay in the whole time.

Sally, I think most of us have had the no response to e.mails re hot matches. It's flaming annoying isn't it.

Cath leave that broomstick out the back please, we don't want no cobwebs on here, it's a lovely clean thread dontcha know.

Where is Pat tonight, surely she's not working overtime.

Shelly, what you doing mate.

Stephen must be resting his poorly leg, lets hope he hasn't overdone things.

Hi there Jeniwren,Rita, Linda, Yvonne, Sue, Lady, Liz and anyone who I may have forgotten to mention.

Oh Mo, I can see that granddaughter of yours getting a good tongue lashing when you see her. I suppose you could just put it down to her hormones acting up.

Sally, there's probably hundreds of people you can't contact on this site due to one thing or another. I don't suppose GR know if someone dies or if they change their email address, they just keep their tree open because they haven't been told to close it.

I'm still waiting for a reply from the first person I contacted on here in 2006. He'd been asking for information about my grandmother's family. I could have given him loads of info and told him there was a massive family up here, but he never posted again and never answered my PM. The fact that he disappeared so suddenly made me think he was either very ill or dead.

Maddie, I hate having to wait in for someone or something to get here, it always ends up in a wasted day.

Quick.......... someone get Marilyn a doctor!!! :D :D :D

Good evening everyone.
I have read the posts, and have now forgotten what has been posted.

Update on grandaughter and baby. Grandaughter was not allowed home yesterday, as she fainted a few times after giving birth, blood pressure I assume.
She did allow my daughter to pop in to see them for a few minutes last night.
She has left instructions that she doesn't want any visitors today, as she is to tired.
I can understand that she has just given birth, but for goodness sake, she is not the only woman to have given birth, and if she lived in an African country, she would have stooped down, had her baby and carried on her way.
Even her younger sister has been told not to visit. So we are now waiting for written permission to see them. LOL
I am being a bit sarcastic I know, but the way she treated her mum, just about takes the biscuit.

Cor talk about warm in the garden earlier. I was putting the last of my summer bedding plants in, and was really hot, so I had to keep going indoors for cold drinks.
Thank goodness it's all done now, and I can sit back and enjoy it all.
