Stephen that oil filled quarry is disgusting. I do hope they can sort it out, it smells terrible and is hazardous to seabirds and wildlife in the area. Its literally a stones throw from one of the nicest local beaches and we sometimes walk the dog there.

HMS Churchill.......they usually have a re-union in around September.....
if I remember correctly it is being held in Chester this year.
Might be worth giving your dad a real treat and taking him along if he can manage ok

My Dad was on HMS Churchill during the war........he was a Petty Officer.


Then he worked at the gunnery school at HMS Cambridge in Plymouth and the Dockyard .....

But he loved the Navy, and talks non stop about it .....even now he remembers so much , but when I ask him about his upbringing and who his real father was ,,,,He CANT remember ..LOL
