Hi everyone.

hope your all OK the weather here is dull one minute and bright and sunny the next. my daughter and her husband Steve are off to Devon tomorrow for a weeks break Steve is worried as he cannot walk about much since his cancer operation. I told him the change of scenery will do him good. my daughter can hardly wait they had booked for Italy last year had to cancel due to Steve cancer operation .

I am just doning my dinner now.

She still is a very pretty girl, most girls has extensions now, and you cant even see where they do it .....I only read last week that Cheryl Cole has extensions and she advertises for that hair product !! I always thought it was her hair :S

Stevey....I must admit that scenery looks great up there, your grand kids will never forget their Gramps when they get older :D

My wee granduaghters have just finished their 'Dry Land' Canoeing Instuctions before I take them out on the Loch.

They love coming exploring the Islands with me.

And they really like a big fry-up on the fire when we're finished. Good healthy food like sausages and burgers washed down with Irn Bru.

Morning everyone,
I had a nice time at the wedding yesterday. I thought you might like to see a picture of my fascinator!
Luckily the weather stayed dry for the photos and The food was nice.
i got home just before midnight so I didn't turn into a pumpkin! :-)

I just take the deadheads off my daffs (takes ages) then wait for the green to start turning yellow before I cut them back.

Is she watching you type Stephen or do you always say things like that? :D :D :D


Err, that's not my idea of a meal out, I'd get my dress dirty... :D :D

When I say I'm taking the family out for a meal, this is what they have come to expect from me..

I have always cut them back.....BUT.....you must leave them alone long enough for the sap in the stems to go back down to the bulb. So your garden will still look terrible for a wee while with all the withered daffs hanging around. I usually give them about three/four weeks. Depends on the weather.
With hundreds of them....I would spend forever just tying them back.....not got time for that.............

My own 'Special Flower' needs all my attention ;-)

Well I watched Dirty Harry last night in bed and it finished just before 1am then I couldn't get to sleep as the film was gripping throughout !! LOL That was both of us !

Yes I do agree Maddie BGT is now a bit of a circus too many doggies that are normal..... any dog can walk through your legs !!

Stevey.... I remembered that you said you cut back all the spring flowers, do you really mean cut them rather than tie them in a knot like I have been doing all these years ..? if so that's what I'll do , much easier,and tidier.

Morning all - just popped in and saw your friendly replies to my post a couple of days ago. I'm feeling guilty because I've been on here for over an hour - then spotted somewhere that Maddie has done all her ironing, which is what I intended to do! Here I am, still in my jimjams, just can't resist it. No doubt I shall be complaining to hubby again later that I don't have enough time in the day to do everything lol

Off to get my wotnot into gear - hope you all have a lovely day. Sun is shining here in Sussex and my garden is positively glistening after its good wash during the night :-)

Morning all
Rained through most of the night.
Saw pictures of our firefighters on the news last night. They have gone from dust under their feet to mud Uck. But hopefully they are winning now.

Room ready for my guests except I need help to remove a spare single divan bed base, which we no longer need.

Will try to get into the garden today to cut back some shrubs before the recycling goes tomorrow.

Stephen, my mam used to say that about dead people not hurting us, she also made us say 'God willing' whenever we said 'See you later'.

Huia, it's because Stephen keeps changing his photo, you keep missing the ones with people on.

Jean, I'm so pleased to hear that Max is feeling better now, hope he gets his confidence back. And I'm really pleased to hear about the 2 lads, wonder what they get for it.
