Cheers everyone, anyone want a drink.
Come in and enjoy yourselves.
Yvonne stop letting out my secrets, that policemans hat fell off by itself, it had nothing to do with me, honest injun.
She's a real party pooper drinking OJ's, psssttt don't tell her, I put vodka in her last two drinks.
Ahhh Linda, you are never to old to enjoy yourself. I am waiting for our Rita to show us her legs, you know what she's like, especially where a man in uniform is concerned, she swoons, so make sure we catch her if she see's a Scots man in his kilt.

Stephen,
There is just one hospital now.
So you weren't sure if you were at the right hospital? What a nightmare!
When have you got to go back?

Yvonne

Yvonne Report 29 Apr 2011 20:25

What are you drinking Pat we'll get it ordered?

Stephen2009 Report 29 Apr 2011 20:25

Pat and Sally,

Part of the saga today was caused by the NHS having partially closed one Hospital and partially opening a new one and at the same time transferring some patients to another Hospital for treatment.

No one seems to know who goes where and what Hospital is doing what treatment.

Needless to say Medical Notes from previous visits could not be found.

The pain is fine now....... like a nagging toothache......

Won't be able to have a shower tonight.........Mrs Stephen will just need to give me a Bed Bath. Magic. ROFL

PatriciaAnn Report 29 Apr 2011 20:24

My magic taxi has got me there. I'm outside Claridges now!
I've never been in there before. Magic travel is wonderful!

Sorry to hear that you have a bad leg Stephen. You really did miss a beautiful wedding. I saw somebody in the crowds wearing plaid, but it wasn't a kilt it was a lady in a skirt !!!
Hope the leg heals quickly and you aren't in too much pain.

Well I've watched so much TV today, whilst knitting at the same time !!! Blanket coming along a treat.

I'd love to be at the reception tonight, but fear they might feel I am tooooo old. Just let the young ones enjoy themselves.

Off for a long soak in the bath in a minute, might help me sleep better tonight.

Linda :o) XxX

Mo in Kent Report 29 Apr 2011 20:13

Oooh Stephen, fancy falling down without even having a wee dram. Take care my friend, and just let the world go by for a few days, till it feels better.

Sally, there was I, "waiting at the church, waiting at the church, ooh how it did upset me.".
I was all alone as well, and decided to come back to Claridges to have a nice warm bath.
Come and join me in the bar downstairs.
Are you going to come down as well Pat.

PatriciaAnn

PatriciaAnn Report 29 Apr 2011 19:59

Oh dear Stephen.
Take it easy. I hope you're not in too much pain.
What a day for it to happen. You're not likely to forget the date.
I'm sure there'll be a dvd of the ceremony!

Stephen2009 Report 29 Apr 2011 19:53

Evening All !

I missed it all............I have just spent the frigging day in Hospital.

I had nipped out to one of my outhouses to get a set of drain rods for a neighbour when my left leg suddenly went limp and I crashed down onto the floor.
My left knee hit a sharp edge and I feared the worse. I thought I'd broken the Patella. Eventually got back to the house and had my wife call an Ambulance. No way could I get in a car. It eventually arrived nearly three hours later. In the meantime I am in total agony.
After hours waiting around and a couple of Xrays and having been seen by numerous doctors etc they decided that I didn't have a breakage.
My leg is firmly strapped rigid. And I am totally pi**ed off.

The leg is weak compared to the right leg due to having the muscles damaged a number of years ago. It tends to drag a bit when I get tired after long walks but this is the first time that I have lost all power suddenly.

Bit of a bummer of a day.

Hope it went better for William and Kate. No doubt I will see it on the various repeats over the next few days.
