I was having a cup of coffee and looking at TV on the wedding of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. they were showing you the dress she wore
telling you the lace was made in Honton Devon and they showed you the lace Museum
When I first went there with my sister we were shown all the lace as my Great Grandmother and two of her children made lace for Queen Victoria and we were shown how long it took to make., they did it from the light of a candle.painfully taking there time and using their skill.

The Lace Museum Archivist is a couson of mine through marriage my Great Aunty married her Great Uncle and we go further back than that with a marriage. .

It is not a nice day here very grey.not one sign of blue in the sky. might have rain.?
I think of all those people sleeping on the pavements along the wedding route. they seem to all be meeting and making friends

One mother and daughter on our Surrey Radio had gone to London to do some shopping saw the tents and the camper outers lol and went and brought tent. bedrolls etc and have stayed there themselves. they intend to get a good spot for the wedding. It is getting exciting now. the wish is that all these TV and Radio people would just for once say something and not bring in the Royal Wedding. it is not as if it is something new, it is the same old thing.

I stayed and watched the late news last night and the Lotto came on guess what the guy mentioned it three times. I could have screemed at him. except he drew three balls out and I won another £10. so I had £10 last Saturday and £10 last night.

I will swap it for my hearing to return to normal.

I've just watched Real Madrid v Barcelona. There's no love lost here. I should imagine it'll be the same on Saturday at the match between Exeter and Argyle.Hopefully there won't be any trouble. There was trouble earlier on at Hyde Park when City went down there because the Police thought it was an ordinary match! Come on!
Glad the driveway is coming along ok and that the weather is kind to you.
I'm going to get a cup of coffee and then go to bed and listen to the radio and read.

Hello Again,

Patricia, I once spent a fairly long time without talking to any other person. When I eventually came in contact with 'humanity' again I felt very uneasy and found it hard to hold a conversation.

Marilyn, Driveway coming along a treat. I try not to sicken myself with the one continuous job but vary things by doing others. Today I rebuilt the bin store. Keeps them out of sight and in a tidy order.Tomorrow a bit more on the driveway and then grass cutting.

Nearly time for supper. Then a lovely long shower and off to bed. I'm usually up around 5.00am.........just habit.....nothing else.

I once went to the stadium at Hyde Park to see my freinds that live near and was gobbed smacked to see all the Argyle fans swarming to get to the match, it was all GREEN sweaters and scarfs, and on every corner their was a Pasty Van ( Ivor Dewneys ) and quite a few supporters were buying their pasties for lunch , such a eye opener ....

Glad I don't live near the Stadium ...I found that quite frightening !

City v Argyle on Saturday at 12.00 noon- high noon!
Put it this way Marilyn, I'm not going. I'll listen to it on Radio Devon- a lot safer.
I remember when I used to have a season ticket and i saw City v Aldershot and the police were expecting trouble and there was a large polce presence. I found that quite frightening.

The only downside about not going to work I haven't really spoken to anyone since Sunday!

I found something to do ...

Well I ended up washing all my ornaments....did a bit of spring cleaning, I got carried away with the polish,and it does smell lovely in my place , Pete was quite worried about my freak out of energy ..LOL

Only thing is I'm getting too eager to do the rest of the rooms......and I don't really want too ..LOL

Done enough now.....having a beer outside with Pete.....

the weather had taken a turn for the better from this morning the sun came out and you can go out without a coat on. I walked across to the shops near the lake and came back not a cloud n the sky or a bit of wind. but a few minutes ago the trees started to bow and the leaves are blowing so we might be heading for a bit of rain afterall.?

My daughter went to see her doctor this morning her blood pressure is too hight he doubled her tablets took her off her asprin for a while(she takes them for a heart mummer " she has pulled the tendon at the back of her knee and will be having an x-ray done and blood test taken.

When she wants an appointment with her doctor she emails and finds a vacant spot and enters her name and time. no phone calls and music on while waiting for a reply.
It does it altermatic wish more did that.

I was reading this morning in bed at about 6am for an hour. Then I went back to sleep.
I'm about to start another book. It's called Juliet who has a twin sister.....

I can find things for you to do today Marilyn lots of little jobs about the flat.

my washing is in the machine nearly ready to take out and put into the dryer. I have a couple of make-up cases the suit case carry around kind.I am going to sort out today I have had them years . wont throw this away I might need it still in there didnt need it. I have four bottle of nail vanish guess what it was hard so dumped that. two un opened ones are ok. because I opened them now.
The sun has come out and it is quiet warm so when the washing is done I might walk across to the lake.

Shelly.......I loved my ciggies but HAD to give them up or they would have giving me up !!.......You can do it...... ,you will be a bit agitated for a couple of weeks, so that's OK with us we will just ignore you ...LOL Good luck you'll find it easier than you think at your age...
