Another beautiful day, it reminds me of the Easter holidays we had when we were kids. We always wore sleeveless dresses and Panama hats as we played out in the sunshine. My mother used to change the ribbon on the hats to match the dresses we were wearing.

Well done Shelly, you got all the draws to work properly, better than I could do!

Sally, you do have big gaps in the ages of your children. I had my first one when I was 19 and my second (and last) when I was 21.

Ah Dermot, a man after my own heart. Why do have so much bother typing the word OWN? I always have to do it about 3 times because I get the letters mixed up, just as well there's only 3 letters in it.

I hope you enjoy the musical " Jesus Christ Superstar. " I saw it on TV once a long time ago.

I like musical shows much better than plays. yet years ago O emjoyed plays more. must be my getting old.

The TV is Rubbish over the holidays so many Carry On Films and Annimated and films that are constantly on all year and if your into Sport your have a good weekend they have covered that from all angles. I will be at my daughter Sunday and Monday but the rest of the time it will be one of my DVD's I will be watching.
have you noticed when they have an interview with a celebratity that he or she appears on all other talk or chat shows. Russel Brand who married Kate Moss is one I have seen him four times on the programes of other chat show hosts in the last few days.

didnt sleep well last night some young men had a party in the next road and sat out the back swearing and shouting and revening up their cars (old bangers they were .) switching their head lights full on which flashed into my bedroom window. and stayed there till they went home about 3.20 in the morning.,

I was not happy . I lay listening to my radio being as my ears were having a bad time Hissing away. yes I did say HISSING.

Sally I watched that Long Lost Families I wept it was very moving, and I liked they way they did the whole programe.

Sally I have a Lee and Hally in my family those are my Grandchildren Lee is in the Royal Engineers.

I also have a Ryan and a Taylor they two of my Gt Grandchildren.
I had my first baby a girl.when I was 21 years old. two years after I had a son then three years after that another Boy
I always recall going back to work to show them my daughter and they had a banner up across the accounts department which read.

"Now your married we wish you joy
first a girl and then a boy."

strange how these things stay in your mind.

I have been told there are no open top cars available for the wedding but they have given me a white stretch Limo instead. so anyone needs a lift let me know ?

Maddie I went to college at Ealing to do two year course on cookery
I did Cake decorating and icing and sweet making then that was followed by a bakery course. and then I did chocolate work.
I use to make wedding cakes , Anniversry cakes and Brthday along with sports cakes.
I also did a florist course. and enjoyed that.

What a load of rubbish on the tv tonight, I'm usually at work on a Friday evening but shop shut early cos of Good Friday.

I still haven't found anything to wear to the wedding, I shall have to get my finger out or I'll be going 'rudey nudedy' lol

Been a beautiful day again, just come back from a 4 hour walk. My feet are feeling very hot now, need to go and soak in the bath for a while. Can't be bothered to cook so we're having a Chinese takeaway......... king prawn and mushroom curry.

I've picked my outfit for the wedding, it's a silk shantung suit in a gold colour (colour's called barley really). I'm going to borrow one of Kate's own fascinators to go with it.

Maddie, I was going to tell that about Marilyn............ lime green is her favourite colour.

Bloomin' hot isn't it?

I just thought I'd pop in to ask if everyone here who went to the Victoria Meet got the photos that I sent to all. Johns bounced back but I'm concerned that others may have gone into spam/junk.

Hmmm I am having second thoughts now Rita. Perhaps I will continue to buy the eggs after all.
I suppose I was lucky, one of the supermarkets was having an offer on at one time, and I got three eggs for the price of one. So I bought six at that time, but should have got them all at the same time, coz the they soon sold out of them.

Sally I was a mature mum when I had my youngest son, at the age of 31,
but he is now nearly 34.
Like a couple of us, I had my eldest daughter at the ripe old age of 17, but have no regrets about that, as we grew up together.
The ages of my children are as of next birthdays, 47, 46, 44, 41 and 34.
And Rita is our much loved elder (ooops I mean younger) member.
She keeps us all in check, and if we misbehave, has been known to fly in on her broomstick, and give us what for. Isn't that right our Rita.
Stephen takes us on magical mystery tours of the Highlands of Scotland.
We have even had our own Olympic games, when Stephen supplied us with a private jet, to take us to the venue. Shelly was our champion at the games, coming away with so many gold medals, she problems getting back into the country.
In October, we go out on our broomsticks. Last year Maddie took us on a whistle stop tour of London. And Stephen was dropping smelly haggis bombs all over the place,especially on the houses of Parliament.

Maddie, I think the race for the best wedding outfit, is on. Marilyn is a hard person to beat on this one. She has such panache and style, she leaves the likes of me in the shade. So my charity shop frock will have to do. I'm not letting on till nearer the day what it's like.
Pauline is shopping on line for her dress, did you know that. I bet she finds a beaut.

I only asked about JBE as he has not put anything on any thread since that meet. he has a part of his family ancestry which is my late husbands as well. he helped me a lot on that. perhaps he is ill. ?

Sally I am 80 years young have 11 Grandchildren and 12 great Grandchildren. 6 boys and 5 girls in Grand children
8 boys and 4 girls in Great Grandchildren. youngest was born in Feb,

Mo it is not cheap making chocolate easter eggs I use to do them. you buy moulds all sizes they do I still have four small ones. and then there is the chocolate. and you need to heat the water to get the chocolate to melt then slightly grease the Easter Egg moulds pour in the chocolate spread it on with a knife and it has to get cool to stay on then you pipe the edges to seal after you have place sweets inside. I gave up as it was cheaper to buy. them plain I brought the cheaper ones and piped their names on them and put an iced flower on for the girls.. They look expensive eggs but are really cheap one.
