I'm still waiting on Mrs Stephen before we can head off out with the bairns.
Patricia, I have met a lot of very interesting folk over the years. Some leave a marked immpression on your mind for various reasons . One person that really had an impact was called James Love. Such a lovely person, spreading the word of Christ in the way he lived his own life. The YMCA named their National HQ in Scotland 'James Love House' in his memory. A fitting and everlasting Memorial to Jim. Jim was known all over the world for his work.
The other person was no less than our own dear Queen Elizabeth. I will treasure my time with her forever. Short though she is, she has enormous charisma. Her eyes and smile would brighten up the dullest day. Full of understanding.

wow Stephen that must have been fascinating meeting a realative of Anne Frank. I've been to several Anne Frank exhibition but I've never been to Amsterdam. Thanks for the brekkie Rita. I remembered Mike in my prayers at mass. It was cold int he church but I'm home now and I've cranked up the heating. Anyone watching the tennis. I'm not. I think I'd put the mockers on Andy! Just going to get a cup of coffee.

Stephen My sister and I went to Anna Franks home when we stayed in Amsterdam the queue stretched for miles I mean miles. my sister and I took turns in the queue one sat while the other queued.they didnt let you stay too long in there because of the amount of people wanted to go in and look around.. it was quiet errire
You mentioned getting a publisher to Dermot, I can tell you they are quiet expensive . my Dads book cost my sister over £1000 pounds to get published if we had , put more pages and photos in the book it would have cost even more. but we are well pleased with the job they did. The more books you ordered for the print the cheaper it works out.but it is £1.000 to start with.
I am sure his book would be a good seller. my Dad was brought up poor and didn t go to a university or anything like that he battled his way through school and managed to get good marks he was a man who taught his self all through his life.I am terrible proud of him and my mother.

Dermot,
Get yourself a good Publisher
A book from you would be a great asset to many folk.
Don't let your past go without recording it somewhere.

Morning again,
Forgot to say that I met a remarkable woman this week.
Eva Schloss.....the Stepsister of Anne Frank.....she was staying at my daughters apartment in Stirling.
Her mother married Anne Frank's father in 1957(or was it 1953). Both families had lived opposite each other during their time in hiding.
Eva is remarkable for her age, in her 80s, she is touring around promoting and educating young folks as to the relevance of Anne's Diary in the modern age.
A short chat with her indicated that she holds no bitterness for what happened during the War. She understood how my Father-in-Law must have felt after his 5 years as a POW.
Yes, a remarkable lady carrying a great message to us all.

Morning all the early risers. Happy Birthday again Cath. You were born the same year as my youngest brother. His birthday is June. Rita more healing thoughts for Mike and {{{{{{{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}} for you. Stephen thanks for the breakfast, hubby just cooked egg, bacon and bread. So he must have been peeking at your menu. We had kippers yesterday. My brother is coming with his family for dinner this afternoon, his youngest is practicing with her singing choir at South Hill Park just down the road from us, so she will be picked up later and join us for the meal. I have nearly finished a pink cardigan for the box of baby clothes I have raedy and waithing for when we get an anouncement, but not yet it seems. Well I need to go and get the house tidy and vacuumed for when they all arrive. See you later

Morning everyone, thank you for your birthday wishes. Dermot I know its been said before but you really should consider writing a book. Really loving your memories. Shelly thank you for my flowers! Hope Stephen is enjoying his grandaughters company and no doubt they will cheer him up, grandchildren are wonderful. Yvonne good to have you back and Marilyn that is one brave grandson, sleeping out in this weather, you must be so proud of him. Rita I hope Mikes pain starts to ease soon and wish him all the best for a continued recovery. Going out again tonight, my son is taking us for an Indian meal. Hi Yvonne, I had problems earlier in the week with my pooter as well. It's amazing how we miss having a computer, isn't it. especially as up to a couple of years ago, I didn't have one at all, and I am now lost without it. Are you still coming to the meet in March.? I hope so.
Nighty Night Marilyn, sleep tight.
