Hi All,

Hes not home yet waiting for a phone call..

Pauline yes we are going on the 5th Jan to Cyprus , don't think he'll get an opp before Christmas as the consultant said until the inflammation has all gone no operation can be performed . He's quite happy about that , He could have it done privately but it will have to be when we get back to Plymouth , so one step at a time now as the awkwardness of being away from home makes things difficult .

Pat ....Oh yes Telegraph Hill must be horrendous , glad I'm not traveling today ......

Marilyn, that's great news about Pete coming home today, at least you can all enjoy Christmas together.

Are you still going away after Christmas or are you waiting until Pete has his operation?

PatriciaAnn

PatriciaAnn Report 21 Dec 2010 15:18

Marilyn,
Yes you are missing the snow here. the S.W got it bad. Haldon and Telegraph got problems. I think it's better today.
I didn't play int he snow yesterday when they made snowmen and played snowballs!

Dermot ....EASTER EGGS !!!! your having a laugh !!

Now ....UPDATE...His lordship is coming home sometime this afternoon, the way forward is , the Consultant in Norwich has written to a Plymouth Consultant for Pete to have his gall bladder removed within 18weeks. So because the pain has subsided and the antibiotics are working really well he's allowing him to come home , but he has yet too wait for his blood test results to come back from the lab , so until that has arrived he has to sit on bed and wait ....could be all night !! LOL.

At least we will have a jolly Christmas .......

Pat , Am I missing all that south west snow ? If I am glad I'm not there yu can play with it and get rid of it before I come home.

I'm having a good drink tonight , fed up with these cups of tea and waiting by the phone.

Now have you all got your Christmas Shopping done ?

Shelly I know always on the ball with hers.....an organized gal !!

I'm going to read back a few pages now and get into the feel of festivities.

Dermot Report 21 Dec 2010 14:05

I'm trying to start panic buying.

There's no bread or milk in the shops. Heathrow type queues everywhere.
Turkeys have gone on unofficial walkout - well, they would have except the snow put a stop to their cackling.

Happy to confirm that there is no shortage of Easter Eggs.

Well folks thats that, all shopping now done. Got all my fruit and veg, early I know, but we could be snowed in by tomorrow. lol

The roads are pretty clear, it's the footpaths that are treacherous.
I don't mean to sound mean minded, but I do wish that parents would explain to their children, that if they make a slide on a path, how dangerous it can be to the elderly.
I just managed to stop one elderly man from falling this morning in town.
I don't know what would have happened had he landed on top of me, he wasn't exactly a small gentleman either.

Rita, have you had the doctor in for that flu? If you haven't - then it's about time you called him out. You've been trying to fight it off for long enough now, you need an antibiotic.

Marilyn, I'm pleased to hear the hospital found out what the problem was and gave Pete antibiotics and painkillers. He must have been in terrible pain. My mam and sister had problems with gall stones, my sister had her gall bladder out but mam didn't. I think mam regretted not having the operation because the problem flared up quite often.
