I've been a party pooper. I refused to build a snowman and play snowballs!

I find it difficult to speak to people who are not listening.

I had to walk to work this morning!

Rita, we have just had to clear our car of snow. Roly will not go out on the roads without our roof, lights, number plate or windscreens clear. It's different if you are actually travelling in a snow storm, there is no way of clearing the number plate then. Unless of course you stop every few yards to clear it, and cause a traffic jam behind you. LOL

No news yet from Marilyn. I do hope Pete is o.k. I have never known indigestion last as long as he had it. Please god that he be alll right.

We have had a phone call from our son, could we please go and pick his Fiance up from work at 2.00p.m. Oh god, we did not intend to go out, but as the poor girl had the fright of falling in the snow on Saturday,and spending over three hours at the hopsital, we thought it better we try and get her. Can't have her falling again this late in her pregnancy. So if you don't hear from me by 5.00p.m send out the search parties, we may be stuck in Maidstone, trying to get back up the steep Bluebell Hill.

I thought I would tell you my friend Carole went to do some shopping this morning. and parked her car in the car park. an AA man was there and he told her that she should clear the snow off the top of her car (it was about 2 inches deep ) and make sure her number plate and lights were clear of it.. his friend was pulled up and fine because he had not cleared the snow of the top of his car.he said it was because the snow could move and cover the number plate and lights .
I said what about all the cars parked on the roads snow bound ? they would have a job clearing the snow off them.
It appears it is illegal if you dont. thought I would let you know.anyone heard this before. ?

Morning all it is so bad here thick snow and ice no way will I go out there in this. My friend from upstairs knocked on my door and said come on the washing machine is waiting and off he went washing and all. I will have to buy him something when I am well enough and can go out.

Marilyn I had a feeling somthing was not right ? when we didnt hear anything from you. I started to worry then. but the good thing is Pete is in hospital and can be looked after there imagine if you had been snowed in and could not get to the hospital. my thoughts and prayers are with you and Pete. bless you both.

I am wondering if we are retuning to the ice age. ?it is so quiet you cannot hear any traffic.

Marilyn sorry to hear about Pete. I hope they can fix him up fast and he is back home for Christmas.

Looking forward to the sleigh ride tomorrow night, a new experience for me, lol. Will rummage in wardrobe for thermals.

Day off today, but a busy one. Taking my mother shopping this morning and then 3 of my grandchildren to look after this afternoon so might not be on again till this evening.

Have had all our lot here this afternoon to celebrate hubbys birthday. He enjoyed a walk with 4 of the children and 2 dogs in the snow.
Then back home for a few drinks and a lovely roast beef dinner, followed by apple pie then chees and biscuits.
He liked his cards and presents too.
