Home about 9pm, so Evening All. Just had something to eat, and collapsed in front of the tv. Load of rubbish on.

The elderly have been conspicuous by their absence today at work. We have regulars, but they have not ventured out into the cold.

Please Shellys little un is feeling better, and progressing well. Must be strange for him. But in a few weeks time he will be forgetting how he was before. If that makes sense. Kids are very adaptable.

Does Marily know how, and if, she will be flying home yet. Most of the airports are closed.

Had a lovely day with Neil, thanks Stephen, took him over the Heath, and he pointed out the important landmarks. From the top of Kite Hill you can see all of London. We spoke of the History of Scotland, and how Mary Queen of Scots was imprisoned in the Tower. How her son James became King, and all manner of things. I then took him to Spaniards Inn for a lubrication.

I am sending him back along the cyber hatch. I have taken too much of his time already. He needs to get back to his family. Whooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooosh. He is on his way.

Rambling now, due to tiredness.

Night night everyone.
Keep well and warm.
Sweet dreams all.

According to the Newspaper, the best weather forecast for tomorrow can be obtained by calling the Met Office the following day.

Two loaves of bread in the freezer, plenty of milk and butter, tea and coffee, But no meat for stews and casseroles, mince for my spag bog pork for me sweet and sours, leg of lamb, pork, chicken, and as many veg as you can get.
Tesco's and all the big stores have stopped making deliveries, they cannot get into the side streets.
Got plenty of bog rolls.
Our freezer is only a small drawer one,and once this lot clears we are going to get another one,so that we don't get caught out again.
The trouble is, we have not been out of the house since monday, and I am now starting to go stir crazy. Bye from one crazy woman....Mo

MommyC.

Do you not keep some bread in your freezer? Also a pile of tinned stuff to keep you going.

No problem arranging a food drop................lets have a wee list of what you need.

I once saw a burned out car with a Parking Ticket on it.............hard to believe they could be so heartless.......or just plain stupid.

Mo in Kent Report 2 Dec 2010 22:17

Thank goodness we have heard from you Jean, mrs worry guts that me.
I am sure we are all praying for a good outcome for you love.

Stephen, my sons car is parked in a car park, somewhere near where he works. He is hoping he wont get fined for leaving it there without a ticket.
He was unable to get into work today, no trains, and no car either. His area manager was not very happy about it, but what was he supposed to do,walk all the way to Orpington Kent.
A colleague at work moved it into the car park yesterday for him, as it was his day off.

I am dreading having to go shopping tommorrow. But we are running out of food. I just hope there is some left in the shop for us to buy. After Rita telling me how much people were buying near her, it may be bread and water till it clears up. I know I can get bread in our corner shop,as the owner is a good friend of ours.

Can I borrow someones sledge and huskies for the day please. Or failing that, Stephen can you arrange for a special s food parcel to be dropped into my back garden.

Love to all.. mo

Marilyn,
If you get stuck in New York let me know. I have an Irish friend that owns a great pub there. You're sure of a good welcome and good food.
He had a brother that was a Monk..........he was a great guy too.
His sister lives in a wee village about three miles from me.

Did Bobby McGregor give you a good Rub Down ?

Hi Stephen.

We have aluminum cardboard that was installed behind our rads , don't know where Pete got them from ,but it does work.

Hi Jean .....wondered where you got too ,we all have our days ,nothing to worry about . X

I see Sue popped in today .....she must be busy with that cat of hers ...

Haven't seen Linda either today ......I cant check as its another page over ...LOL

Just been on the beach for a walk.

Getting worried about not getting to New york now as its snowed in up there for our connection .....looking at the news everyday home and Here !!

Have you all looked at the photo of the Christmas trees that I put a web site on ????????

Stephen2009

Stephen2009 Report 2 Dec 2010 20:57

Dame Shelly...........Your radiators that are on outside walls......if you line the wall behind them with cooking foil ( turkey foil is strongest) this will reflect the heat back into the room. Does not need to be perfect. Just use drawing pins along the top and bottom of the foil.
B&Q or some other shop like that do reflective panel for behind radiators.
Not too expensive.

Make sure the heat from your radiators is not going up behind your curtains. If the curtains are long tuck them behind the radiator. If the curtains are short tuck them on to the window cill.

Glad your wee one is doing fine.

Have you managed to contact the Council Energy Advisor yet ?

Hello everyone, hope you are all keeping warm and taking care if you go out.
Sorry not been on for a few days, been a bit of a misery so kept out of the way, except to put birthday thread on again as the original one went missing.
Well, last treatments tomorrow, scans and blood test results on Monday morning, then I will either be celebrating or drowning my sorrows.
We have lots of snow, and icy roads, [our council dont grit the side roads]
but my 9 month old Grandaughter was wide eyed when she saw it for the first time, then she wanted to be put down so she could touch it.

Am going to make a cup of tea now and watch some TV, then have an early night.

Good night, God bless to everyone. Take care.
Jean xx

Dermot.....What about England hosting a Genes Reunited World Convention.

Pat...nice to see you popping in and out. I like Exeter City. Would sometimes drop in there on my way to or from the South Coast. What a lot of History and some really lovely buildings.

Maddie.....Neil likes a good Malt Whisky. He must be needing his throat lubricated by now. LOL..

Not much snow today....great.....but at this early hour we are already at
-7C.

Pauline. Powder Snow tends to happen when the temperature is fairly low.

Nice driving today.....no nutters about......roads in reasonable condition.

The hills are looking fantastic with their white coat on.

Mo......did everything work out ok with your son and his car ?

Marilyn heading home for a short break. The life of the rich eh !

Mrs Stephen is so disappointed that we are not heading off for our Spa break. I'll just need to stick her in a hot bath and call on 'Fluffy Paws' to help out. Pour her a glass of bubbly, light the candles, aromatic of course,
and she will think she's in Heaven. ROFL.
