dam we got snow

Morning everyone.
Pauline can you not do some on line shopping or is there not enough for you to do that ? perhaps they will drop the shopping by helicopter in your back garden Lol. maybe Stephen can drop it down to you on his skis should only take him a about three weeks to get there.he can stay overnight and then head back. Mrs Stephens might enjoy the break,. lol
So Brent will be home again we will have to think up something that will entertain him or some thing in the form or art he has not done and maybe can try.

Stephen Wishing you a" Happy St Andrews Day"even with the snow laying thick on the ground on the trees in the hedges on the roof.
I just had toast this morning after seeing the couple making porriage on TV different ways one with water and salt the other with milk and sugar Mother in Law use to do it the Scottish way. I didnt like that I liiked it with milk and sugar..anyway have a nice day.

Shelly do you take the children to and from school ? I am not sure if you drive ?or walk.

This you will think I am telling lies but I am not. at the back of my flat we have about an inch of snow, (you know that white stuff ) in the front of my flat we have rain and big puddles
so I am waiting to see when it changes to snow flakes as is forcast.
I dont think I will bother making snow balls out the back. but will need a brolly out the front

Shelly it sounds as if the problem is the fact that your stairs are in your lounge and there's no radiator on the landing. You'll be losing all your heat up the stairs, and what's going up there won't be enough to warm the landing. Nothing you can do about it either. Well, I can't think of anything. Sorry.

Just do what Stephen and Rita say...........put plenty of layers on to keep your body warm and put thick curtains up at all doors and windows.

yep little one as school so his not going to be a very happy

and daughter with the 2 boys are all down with a belly bum ache

now im not a very happy bunny we have snow and i have to go shoping today to fill up the cuberd just in case we get more snow and the roads will then be to bad for me to drive.
we dont have the market for me to walk down no more as thay have shut that down and closed all the shops becouse of the re-generashion program

iv had the heating on for about 45 minets and it thing on the wall that give the tempicher says 16,oc

just ringing the school to see if it is open

Been out since very early clearing snow.............again.

Fresh fall overnight, we now have powdered snow on a firm base. Great for the skiing but blo8888y useless for anything else.

Going to head off for work when the daylight arrives....things to do........ people to see.

Linda my friend has gone to Bath today for the Christmas market she'll be a bit miffed if its too crowded , she was more worried about the snow getting there ,I have had an e-mail from her and she got there safe and sound but said its very cold ....

I have just had my dinner....fish ...hmmm lovely and garlic bread .

Just looked at the weather back home ....it looks freezing ...perhaps I'm not home sick anymore ..LOL


Going to freeze when I get back to Heathrow as I dont have any nice boots with me only sandals.....so can someone meet me with a nice thick coat and boots and just about anything that will stop me from freezing ..

No I meant perhaps you could put plastic over your wndows for the time being to stop the cold getting into your rooms.

I use to love the old coal fire's we had them when we first got married.the heat use to circulate alot better than the heat from the radiators.

rita we are council and becouse the house is comeing down thay want do no work unless thay have to so new windows is well out the window LOL

i will just have to suffer and like my daughter said if i move the fat arss a little more i will be warm

yes we have hot water radiators that run off the gas boiler NO LIVEING ROOM FIRE
we dont have radiator in the kitchen down stairs loo and up stairs bath room
we have a long landing that also dont have a radiators pluss stairs are in the liveing room we have front door and a polch

baseicly there is not enuth radiators to feed a 5 bed room house
and most of the heat is lost trying to warm up the place that dont have radiators

Its not 20c here its 30c .....just a bit different it got to (96 degrees today .

And boy that was hot !!

Now cooling off with a beer .

Awhhh Shelly I wish I could get you get on a cheap flight out to me .......no need for wrapping up.
I got a sofa you can kip on !!

Do you have Hot Water Radiators in each of your rooms run from a Gas Boiler ?
Does your front door open straight to the outside or into a stairway or close.? Do you have a back door ?

Is your Electric for lighting, telly, etc only or do use it for an Immersion Heater for Hot bathwater or shower.
